I personally like dubbed better because sometimes I have trouble reading and watching the action at the same time, plus the actors in English sound cooler to me.

I prefer subbed anime, personally. I know there's a few great dubs out there, but most of them sound weird and the voices don't fit the characters a lot of the time. I'm a fast reader, so I can follow the animations and the text at the same time without trouble.

That, and I'm under the impression that anime just sounds more natural in Japanese. 

The dubs here in Catalan have a great quality, I must admit. The Spanish ones are absolute bulls***. They even renamed the Kamehameha, stupid heretics.

There aren't a lot of Catalan dubs, so I always go for Japanese subbed. Anime just undergoes so many changes when ported abroad that it makes the show completely crappy. Name changing, opening/ending changing, incomprehensible censorship... They just ruin the series. Good thing I'm a fast reader and I can follow the text smoothly.

I prefer subbed by a clear country mile, because it simply feels more natural, both character-wise and watching it, text and all. That, and the fact that I really respect Japanese as a language, so I feel that it almost always fits better than English when the scenes and script were written for it.

Well I used to only like dubbed anime. It was either dubbed or I am not watching it but as the years passed I came to terms and I actually like subbed so much more... I mean I am able to keep up with the action and I can read fast enough so that's always good. I mean dubbed has its qualities and I still do like dubbed but I like subbed more.

it depends if I watch the first few episodes of something with subs then try to watch one thats dubbed I just cant. 

Subs. I don't know. I would hate it if they would dub American cartoons into Finnish as well. Luckily they don't do that much, only to the really kiddie stuff. But sure, some dubs in English have been okay.

I definitely like subbed better. Dub, for me, all the voices sound the same and never really seem to fit the character properly. Also after having watched hundreds of anime in sub it just don't seem right to not be reading while watching it.

HydraDragon50000 : I personally like both as long as the dub is good because there are some dubs that are very good. But sometimes I prefer subbed but only if the dubbed version sucks. So basically I prefer both dubbed and subbed anime so yeah :3

It really all depends on what I'm watching, but I lean more to subs. I have alot of anime on my HD with both subs and dubs of the same show 

It's pretty situational for me. It also depends on the anime. Naruto for example is a close toss up, but I lean more towards the dub. I have to stick to the sub for now though since the dub is 800 years behind. This is one of the only exceptions for me.

Overall though, the majority of any other anime I watch is in sub. The main reason for this is because the actors sound more passionate and put more effort into playing the part of the character. Subs just seems more natural and flows together well whereas the dubs feel a bit forced. Attack on titan is a great example of this, the characters sound ridiculous and the titans sound like wild banshees. 

Keeping up with the subtitles isn't an issue since I read pretty fast, so it's easy to follow. So personally I prefer sub over dub. Everyone is entitles to their preferences though.

I prefer dubbed anime because then I don't have to keep looking at the bottom of the screen trying to read what they are saying and then I might miss out on something that just happened while I was reading the subtitles. Plus, a lot of subbed anime has misspellings in them and sometimes might not even make sense.

HydraDragon50000 : To be honest, I prefer both of them equally. There are many cool Japanese actors in subbed anime, while there are many cool english actors in dubbed, as well. If I had to pick one of them, I would pick subbed because Japanese voices are kinda cooler than English voices.

I prefer dubbed because i can't read the subbed fast enough. Like I will be half way though on one sentences then the second person stated to talk and i don't know what the rest was.

I never answer forthright dub or sub, because to me it's a very case-by-case basis. FMA, for example, has a wonderful dub that I never get tired of listening to, while Belfore's Children has literally the worst dub I've heard in my life- and as you can probably guess, I avoid it like the plague. To me, the dub really depends on who's in it. Vic Mignogna, Cailtin Glass, Travis Willingham, and Laura Bailey really bias me towards it, though. Strong performances can make for a great experience. I've also tried finding Romanian dubs just because I like getting all the content in Romanian that I can, since where I live we don't really have much exposure to that. But it seems most Romanians are either up in arms about posting dubs on the Internet (*cough*Animax Ro*cough*) or prefer subs, though honestly I think that's just because the Romanian dubbing industry is terrible. Just look at what they did to Frozen and Naruto, for Pete's sake (I'm not even a fan of Frozen, but I still cringe when I hear that dub...) But I digress.

One reason I might slightly prefer the sub is because I've been studying Japanese for the past couple of years, so I really like to hear the way they talk and enunciate- the more I hear, the better my accent gets (theoretically) and the more vocabulary I can pick up. Hearing the original Japanese also gives a better understanding of the characters' relationships, in my opinion. Some dubs remove honorifics, which are very important for knowing how characters know each other- how great friends they are, and how much they trust each other. The two biggest examples I can think of are The Wind Rises and Karneval.

In TWR, the dub constantly said, "My love," "my love," "my love," when Jiro and Naoko were talking to each other, while the subtitles had no such indication. The reason for that was because the word Jiro and Naoko were actually using to refer to each other was 'anata,' which is used only between intimate relationships such as father to child or husband to wife- it indicates a high level of trust and love, and if it isn't used with someone that close to you, it's considered rather rude or snobby. The dub, then, had to compensate for this culturally-charged word by adding 'my love,' which 'anata' does not translate to. 'Anata' means simply 'you.' 

Likewise, in Karneval, Yogi is very upset for the duration of the season because he feels one of other characters, Gareki, hates him, since Gareki never referred to him by name. The second Gareki does, however, he doesn't even add the honorific -san or -kun, because Gareki feels that he and Yogi are close enough friends to eschew this. The dub does not have that dynamic, though, and when Gareki calls Yogi by name, that extra nuance is erased.

Though I admit, some knowledge of Japanese culture and the Japanese language is required to get all that out of subs. But I still feel it is a much richer experience that way.

I much prefer dubbed anime because I hate not understanding what someone's saying, which is the case in subbed anime. Plus, I it's hard for me to read what the actors are actually saying while trying to watch the anime at the same time, so I stick with dubbed.

There is always something about Japanese voice acting that is intriguing. They way that the lines are spoken, sometimes you can feel the emotion and power behind it. The acting really gets you to understand the characters and helps the plot of the story.

Dudded on the other hand can have some horrendous voice acting. But there are some dubbed amines that aren't too bad. I just couldn't think of any while typing this... ^^" lol

I prefer subbed.

Often times the dubbed voices for characters sound weird and out of character, and I feel like when dubbed it sometimes loses out of some on the jokes and plot of the original.

There's really only a few exceptions where I'd say the contrary like Pokemon (even though I don't really watch it much anymore) where I prefer the dubbed version, mostly because I'm more used to it

I've even picked up some japanese words and phrases from watching it enough so in a way you could argue it's educational too XD

I prefer subbed anime. Most dubs sound really strange.You can also learn a few Japanese words by watching subbed anime.

Subbed. I used to be only dubbed, but I got tired of wating for new episodes to come out, so I made the switch. 
The only anime I prefer in English than in Japanese was Death Note.
