Have you ever seen a layout that makes you annoyed? Sick to the stomach?
Don't mention usernames, but maybe a description as to why. This description is not necessary however.
I say yes, but do not wish to elaborate.

Haha, oh man, I could write a whole essay on this! There's TONS of layouts here that just annoy me to no end. I'm always tempted to block certain users who make the worst of them all but I decide against it because, despite hating bad layouts, I get some sort of satisfaction when I see a really bad one. Kind of like a, "wow, glad I can do much better than that".

I made my "TIPS ON MAKING LAYOUTS" thread not only out of the kindness of my heart (haha) but because I got really sick of seeing these mediocre, page-breaking layouts. I find they're less common now but there's always that one special layout that manages to catch my eye and I'm tempted to say something but I don't.

Of course, I have my own history of really bad layouts but I definitely improved over time. I wish the same went for others but I guess some just don't learn.

There are so many layouts that are bad... I do enjoy a good layout, but some are hard to read, distracting from the text, or just too "obnoxious." I especially don't like the layouts that make it hard to read... Usually by a picture that is too close to the text color... But I can relate to the issues of making ones... That's why I enjoy going to layout shops. (They almost never disappoint, and aren't bad.)

Layouts with tiny fonts.

Sure, my good computer screen displays such small font size clearly, but work computers, not so much. I'm not sure what the point of the small font is either... is it that you want us to think you are whispering all the time?

When I have to highlight the text of a layout to read what it says, then the layout needs to be changed.

I also dislike when scrolling layouts have really tiny text boxes that make you have to scroll every 2-3 sentences.
If it's like that, I'll check out the reply page and see whether the post was recent enough to read through there. If it's not, then I simply skip over that post.

I only hate layouts with text before a post that make you read it every time. It's in the fricking rules not to do that, why are there so many? Example: Thread titled "Whats your favorite color." Post: "Words from a wise man: I like green." In this example, "Words from a wise man" is the sentence that is in every single post of the user's. I just reaaaalllllllyyyyy hate that.

The other thing: Layouts that extend the page's width. It's supposed to be 800x500, we shouldn't need to use the scrollbar sideways. Can you spot the layout that breaks this rule on this page? Do you find it ironic that they used to be layout manager (and still had that rulebreaking layout when they were)? Because I do.

While I don't have much problem with smaller fonts, any layout with a pixel-y picture, hard to read text (Text box opacity exists for a reason!), or very small textboxes (No, I don't want to scroll every two sentences, thanks.) annoy me to no end. I'm otherwise fairly tolerant, and any personal choices like colour scheme come down to more of a personal preference than anything.

I hate the layouts that break into other posts so you can't read posts from other users.  Or the ones that break the page.

I have a question though is my text box too small I hear people not like small text boxes.

I wouldn't say "sick", but I usually hate layouts that completely obscure what the user is writing. Then I have to hit reply so the layout disappears. Also, some of them are just too colorful for me to actually pay attention to them.

I absolutely hate seeing layouts that make it nearly impossible to read what the user's saying, especially when they're making a review. If I want to be able to see what the person's saying, I have to squint and look very closely at the screen in order to understand what's being said. It really annoys me badly.

There are TONS of layouts that I just hate.

1. Scrolling simple layouts. These layouts are the ones that normal users can make, but the picture scrolls as you continue on down the page. Those layouts just look awful.

2. Simple layouts. They all look terrible.

3. Layouts with fonts that are the color of the text box or of the background. These just look awful and I hate them. I hate them a lot.

4. A layout with a bad picture. I hate layouts made with like 100x100 pictures.

Many more I won't go on there.

As you can probably notice I am a newbie at this website. How do I even change my layout? I got to know! I have a splendid idea for a layout.

DestinyHeroDC : Go to your Edit Profile & Settings at the top left of your screen. Underneath Appearance there is a little thing that says Moved! yadda yadda... click on the link there that says Edit Layout.you can buy existing layouts. Another thing is that if your not a trusted member you can't make fancy layouts, and it's just better off to Hire a user, or buy an existing one. You should read the F.A.Q. real quick located Here, and explore the board a bit. Also if you need more help Post in the Help form, Or PM a Local moderator, or someone who is willing to help you.

I mostly have a problem with layouts when I can't read them. But for the most part, there really hard to maintain and create anyway. It seems that the system feels a bit broken but none the less, there is always going to be good an bad that comes out of this. Honestly there is so many things involved that I just prefer to sit back and use plain text. 

The main issues I have though with bad layouts is the Images. I've always been a fan of the rule - "The text has to at least be the main focal point of the layout, or at least 2/3 of the layout space." - This isn't a rule here, but I digress. Images are way to big and flashy. Distracting, and not usually all that pretty. Sometimes there under the text and it's unreadable. Then there's those who use the Highlighter thing that really doesn't work well at all. Of coarse I could go on and on, but I don't think I need to.

There is a few users on here (mostly Newbies and Regular Members) that uses layouts that has words that are impossible to read. But I won't say who has those layouts to avoid flaming, but, once you see those layouts, you will understand on why I don't like those layouts.

Mostly if I have to highlight the whole post with the mouse, those are the kind of layouts I really don't like, sure, I know Regular Members has only a limited amount of stuff to do regarding their layout and trusted+ can do a whole lot more is understandable, but still, I think a user can create their layout without having a problem trying to read on what they say.

Technically there is in fact a layout report thread, so if you shoot the locals/globals a PM about unreadable layouts, we can look into it and remove the layout from posts if it's that terrible. I think we should start doing this more often.

This would only work for unreadable layouts, not layouts that are nooby but within the rules.

I've seen so many bad layouts over the time that I've been on Vizzed. I can only hope that I haven't been caught with one. I actually found a moderator who had a layout that was bad enough that I couldn't even read what he was posting, so that's still the only layout that I've ever blocked. I wonder how long it'll be until we have someone with a porn layout who spams 200 posts in 10 minutes. I'm surprised that I haven't seen any layouts that are offensive or otherwise bad, just layouts that are difficult to read or page-breaking. Maybe those are just the ones that get edited out by moderators.
