Vizzed RGR Plugin 2.25 is finally here. For now this version will only be an optional update but it most likely will become a mandatory update soon. Some of the updates include updated MAME/MESS**, MAME/MESS** netplay (only some MESS systems support netplay but all arcade games should support it), MAME/MESS** highscore & speedruns, MAME/MESS** full screen (ALT+Enter), more MAME/MESS** options available from the menus and F keys, and other various features and fixes. Read below for more details on what has been fixed, updated and added.

**MESS required systems include: C64, Atari 2600, Apple II, MSX, MSX 2, Sega Saturn, CD-i, Intellivision, Colecovision, Atari 5200, Atari 7800, Pico, Odyssey 2, PocketStation, Atari Jaguar, SG-1000, Pokemon Mini and SC-3000. MESS is compatible with other systems on the site but currently you cannot play those systems with MESS (I'll add that ability later on).

If the plugin tells you you're missing VC++ Runtime, you'll need to install that first. You can download it here:

Attention Windows 8 Users, the plugin will not work if you use Internet Explorer from the Metro App screen. You must either launch Internet Explorer from the desktop, use a different internet browser or launch the site using the Vizzed RGR Plugin App icon.

For Dreamcast Games you'll need a fast computer, a controller plugged in and you'll need to download and install DirectX 9 Runtime here:

Detailed List of Updates

Better Game Playability and Compatibility for MAME & MESS Games
Our version of MAME and MESS have been updated to 0.154 which means better overall compatibility and playability for MAME & MESS games. Having MAME/MESS updated will also allow us to potentially add new systems in the near future that we wouldn't have been able to add otherwise.

MAME & MESS Netplay
You can now play Arcade games online with other users! You will need to port forward 6805 on your router (both TCP and UDP) for MAME and MESS netplay to work. Figure out what router and model you have and look up how to do port forwarding with it. My router is a netgear router and I was able to do it by simply going to this url http://192.168.1.1. I'll make a thread at some point with more details and instructions on port forwarding but for the mean time, you'll have to figure it out on your own.

This is an exciting update because there are 1000s of awesome Arcade games that support multiplayer and 100s of Arcade games that support co-op multiplayer. Some MESS systems now also support netplay that didn't before and some of the current netplay systems can now be played with the Mednafen emulator like before or with the new MAMEhub (which is P2P based).

MAME & MESS High Score and Speed Runs
You can now do high score runs on MAME and MESS games! Future competitions will definitely take advantage of this. You can go ahead and do high score runs on these games now but you'll have to wait for future competitions to do speed runs.

MAME & MESS Full Screen
By pressing ALT+Enter, you can go into fullscreen mode on all MAME and MESS games. To get out of fullscreen, just press ALT+Enter again.

Other Features Include
-More options from the menu (press ESC to get there)
-Cheat menu (press F12)
-A few various fixes and enhancements
-Probably lots of other things that I'm forgetting

Can I point out sorry C64 games are still failing to load you can download the ROM but after that it fails to load up just leaves a gray screen. Also the plugin crashes when I to rest via the reset button on the bottom of the screen. It is also crashing when I try to go full screen as well this is for  mame games.

Wow, another update! This one is another amazing and huge one, so I'm going to download it right now. Thank you for working so hard to make updates to the plugin while Tom's still here!

Thirdly why when I use mednafen in Nes games (because I like to play fullscreen) figure is not as clear as far as when I play without mednafen......Thanks

Arcade games still can't pause...

It seems to me that the issue with regards to the Arcade netplay is still an issue. When creating a session all seems fine, but when someone tries to join it, it crashes the plugin/browser for that person. Is this the porting issue you were talking about?

Here's an issue I had...

For Bomberman '94 (a Turbografx game), there's the option to play on Mednafen or on MESS. Mednafen works fine, but for playing on MESS, few or none of the listed controls are accurate. Instead of double clicking to change controls, you have to press Tab, which then contains lots of different option. It might help to just update the text for games using MESS.

Davideo7 : Are many Mames(like ninja turtles for example) games that doesnt works using rgr plugin 2.25. I'm complained several times about this problem but have not yet received replies (sorry for my poor english)

Yeah some games that are not working, any of the Dizzy games, Thrust, Montezuma's Revenge, Monty on the Run, Tapper, Henry's house. They all crash as soon as the emulator has loaded the game.

Also and I have mentioned this to tRIUNE that Dreamcast is also not working for me I was going to give the Crazy Taxi competition a go but that is also failing to load any games, others I have tried Giga Wing, Bangi-o Shemue, Dynamite cop all crashing as soon as the emulator has loaded the game.

Another issue I have had is with netplay I tried several times to have a neplay session with jerryaberry but been unsuccessful using either the mednafen or the mess netplay options . With the Mednafen option keep getting controller mismatch we were both using 2.25 plugin and with the mess one we kept getting server failure again with 2.25 plugin. 

i'm having the same issue on c64 games i can't play pitfall 2 the lost caverns or any other c64 games and for some reason it happens on version 2.0
p.s i'm on version 2.25

Strange. I've tried to install it like twice by when I play a game it still says "2.12". Is it necessary to have the new plugin to play "regular" games from 16 and 32-bits games?

For some reason when I'm about to play a game, it won't read the plugin.  Any solution to this?
