So, as we're starting this up, I'm sure you all are wondering... "Just what is Phemcee?" Well, in this thread, I hope to answer that! Sit back, and enjoy reading about Phemcee!

To be very succinct, Phemcee is comprised of EideticMemory and myself (mrfe). The name is a play on our usernames, as well as throwing MC (for Minecraft) in there for good measure. The original name was supposed to be Femc, but it was taken, so we spelled it phonetically. I'm of the opinion that the more phonetic spelling is a better name overall, but I'm not sure of EM's thoughts.

Phemcee can be broken up into 3 parts. Phe represents fe, a play on my username. em stands for EideticMemory, and borrows the e from Phe. mcee stands for Minecraft, with the double e's thrown on for looks and to ensure correct pronunciation. Phem (the PH sounds like it does in the word 'Phone') - see. Hopefully that gives you an idea on how to pronounce it, as well as what it stands for.

Now that we have a bit of an idea as to what it stands for, let's dive into a bit of Phemcee's history. The name Phemcee originated one night on the Vizzed Minecraft Server (Vizzed.co), as EM and I were admiring some of our creations and dreaming up new ones. We came up with the idea of starting a youtube channel (Direct link to our channel, it's a work in progress lol). Of course, to start a youtube channel, you first need a good name. I think we spent the better part of an hour trying to come up with something, but eventually decided to run with Femc. After trying to register under Femc, though, the name was taken. We just decided to go with the Phonetic spelling, and there you have it. Phemcee was born.

Now, what do we hope to accomplish with this channel and forum? I'll tackle the channel first, and get into the forum afterwards. The channel was originally going to be solely dedicated to EM and I playing Minecraft, and different aspects of that, but after discussion we decided that it'd be a good idea to branch out. Phemcee is going to be dedicated to pretty much everything, lol. We'll cover a lot of different games, in a lot of different genres, as well as even going into some non-gaming things. We still don't have it all figured out, though, so we're along for the ride too!

Now, how does this forum fit into the mix? Basically, with the future we have planned for Phemcee, we really want a place where the future Phemcee community can come to talk about anything Phemcee does, as well as a place for friends to help us on this journey. So, when we're working out videos about Minecraft, we'll have a lot of threads dedicated to Minecraft and potential videos. We'll still have other threads and stuff open, since we'll be covering other things, but EM and I will specifically be putting out a lot of threads dedicated to what we're working on. However, this is a public forum, so feel free to create (relevant) threads as well! We'd love to see your ideas, your feedback, and love to see discussion between you all!

So, you have questions about what I said? Well, to be honest, that's not too surprising. Feel free to respond to this thread! Either EM or I will happily respond to you! I'll run through some possible questions you might have before signing off.

"Why do you feel like you need a forum for this?"

There are actually a couple reasons. First, we really want a place where the community can enjoy themselves, and the best way to foster that community is to give them a safe place to enjoy themselves! Secondly, because Vizzed is the whole reason that EM and I met in the first place. By hosting the community here, we'll help out Vizzed, and potentially create future channels just like this one!

"Is Phemcee looking for any more core members? I'd love to be a part of the team!"

Currently, and unfortunately, we aren't. EM and I work together really well, which is why we started the channel together, and we won't ever add anyone to the team unless we are both quite sure that the new person will really complement our styles, communicate well with us, work well with us, and bring an extra boost to Phemcee. Basically, if we ever bring anyone else on, we'll be really picky!

"How often will you put out videos?"

At least for now, as we get started, we'll release videos 'as we can'. That means that we won't have a set schedule, because our personal schedules aren't set themselves. However, when Phemcee starts to really pick up, we'll undoubtedly set up a schedule. Stay tuned!

Ok, now IB is confused, This is a forum about the wonderful Merf and EM, (and Minecraft and who knows what else), meh, sounds logical

But like Bomb said, combining 2 forums owned by two of the weirdest elements on Vizzed (Minecrafter's Village and Innocent Town) with YouTube added to the mix, I bet this will be an even crazier forum

this does look like it could be fun though, makes me think a lot of the Pewdiepie forum.

The first few days will be filling up the forum and giving it that initial push.

After that comes the crazy. haha.

I see why you're trying to break it down, but I also feel like that might mislead you.

We're intentionally going to make this distinct from any forum currently on Vizzed:

- Web Splurge might be an adequate comparison, but I feel like the only similarity is going to be that we'll post youtube videos. If posting youtube videos makes it like Web Splurge, then I guess that makes sense.

- the Minecraft forum has its limits - we'll try to go where it's not able to.

- Innocent Town - If we start hosting forum games, then I might see the similarity. Otherwise we plan to be no more similar to IT than to any other non-specific (and slightly crazy) forum like the Underground, Lodge, Ham Ham Clubhouse, General Chat (to an extent) to name a few.

That said, I have a lot of respect for IT, and a comparison might be giving us too much credit for a forum that's just started. We want to earn your respect ourselves as a forum over the next few weeks.

So while there might be some validity in these comparisons, we hope to show you how unique this place will be.

In other words, we hope to make 'The Phemcee Effect' a unique and crazy (but most of all mind-blowing) ride.

EideticMemory : It looks as if even though you two told us as much as you could, we're not going to at all expect what's going to happen in this place, but I can't wait.

You might currently be confused as to what types of threads you can create. Mrfe and I discussed this yesterday, and we plan to create a thread that will make things clearer.

EideticMemory : Actually, yeah, that would be a great help. The only thing I can think of now would be making maybe game challenges for you guys or such.

3 pieces of advice from an amateur filmmaker and enthusiast.

1) You two need to get yourself some mics with better quality.
2) mrfe, you don't have to always to facecam, it's not that appealing on different occasions.
3) When I have another multiplayer challenge against you guys and put it on the Vizzed Production channel, I'll just refer you two as Phemcee.

So that what this is for. To bad I don't have a computer I really need to play minecraft to see what it's all about. Hope all goes well for you guys

play4fun : Yeah, I do agree with a little better mic, because the mic I use on my headphones is a little low quality, or my voice sounds really stupid, I don't really know. As for another challenge you have in the future, hopefully that I won't have connection problems that cost me to show up in the last challenge.

Hi, and whatz up new forum?! lol...congratulations guyz...mrfe and em on this forum. sounds interesting to me and ill be sure to check this out and your youtube channel as well. videos are fun and so are games. i believe this will generate a lot of discussion and fun! 

one thing i happened to think of...do you have a Phemcee logo??? Could be neat if you guys do that. Logos are fun and as you gain followers there can be lots of fun to be had with presentation and representation. all in good spirit mind you and coming from my time working for abercrombie and fitch i learned a bit about this stuff. it was fun for me there and most of all it was good. just a bit of food for thought.

lastly, good luck with your endeavor and also, im hoping you will give us all snacks as we watch. i heart food...
