The only thing that is certain about 2015 is that there will be many more iPhones and ipads and such, that's really all that we can guarantee will happen. I personally think actual hoberboards can be made but I think its decades away and I would much rather have a jetpack than hoverboard, so it really doesn't affect me much, and if anything, Google would be the one to make them.

From what I saw, with only air-friction there seems to be trouble with turns and spins that just accelerate too fast.

So they might actually have to create more air-friction with the design - who would have thought?!

I'm waiting for the auto adjusting shoes and auto drying jacket.

Most people haven't even mastered driving in the X/Y direction...I can only imagine what would happen if we add that Z direction.

I can see that the hoverboard video seemed to have been getting a lot of flak from the Youtube community (not that they don't hate on a lot of things to begin with) because they said it had too many flaws and was a stupid idea. It weighs around 100 lbs, can only function on certain metal flooring, and is really, really expensive to make.

Since there are already hover boards, I expect they will make some hover boards based off of true pressure. If someone is able to make a hover board before the end of 2015, people will praise that person for making something based off of a popular movie . Honestly, I think the fact that Back to the Future stated there would be hover boards by 2015 will make people try extra hard to make sure there are hover boards.

Forget hoverboards. Where is my colony on the moon and moving sidewalks? They promised me a colony on the moon and moving sidewalks. I clearly remember my teacher in first grade telling me that by the time I was thirty we'd have these things. Why can't I live on the moon yet?

I sincerely hope we don't go the Back to the Future fashion route though. I just re-watched that movie and...wow. Just wow.

Seriously, though, science is making huge leaps and bounds in what is possible and what we expect. I have no idea where we go. The fact that we're  making laws about robotic sentience-I'm not kidding, look it up, there are several countries currently drafting laws about how to handle the possibility now that an android managed to pass the Turing test-makes me a bit worried though.

I expect this year to be the year eSports gets serious recognition! Along with possible hoverboards as well sometime in the far future. I would also love to see great improvements to the Oculus Rift as well. (As well as a decrease in its price.)
