I want to know what your favorite Kingdom Hearts game so far is. Was it the classic first edition? Or was it the prequel Birth by Sleep? Or maybe it's the in-between story of Chain of Memories? Or could it be the improved version of the original in Kingdom Hearts II? Or perhaps it is the game style of 358/2 Days? Vote and leave a reply explaining why it's your favorite.

Please note I did not include Kingdom Hearts III because it has not yet been released but I'm sure all the fans are awaiting the release with barely stifled anticipation. Nor did I include Coded because it was only for mobile and of all the people I talked to, none had even heard of it until I mentioned it.

madmonk_adam : I hate that I keep forgetting to play or watch an LP of Kingdom Hearts, at least part 1.

My favorite has to be Kingdom Hearts II due to the greatly improved gameplay and battle mechanics compared to the first game. Dream Drop Distance also had really great gameplay, but the random switching got old really fast. The plot of II was also more interesting to me personally.

madmonk_adam : I also wanted to add that you can play Coded on the DS (I think it's called Re:Coded, but it should be the same game). I personally did not think it added anything to the series, plot-wise, but it's a rather fun, mini-game-ish extra, if anyone's interested.

kivdabe : Thanks for your reply and the fact that you explained why! Now Kingdom Hearts II is also my favorite for many of the same reasons plus the fact that it improved greatly on the graphics. Also I didn't know that about Coded but thank you for pointing that out to me.

I own Kingdom Hearts, Kingdom Hearts 2 and Chain of Memories thanks to the 1,5 Remix on the ps3. And I must say that Kingdom Hearts 2 is my favorite by far. I love Sora and Riku, but Kingdom Hearts 2 introduced my favorite character; Axel, and I was absolutely crazy about him from the get go. I'm glad I got to know him in KH2 first, because he's quite nasty in Chain of Memories : p I liked Roxas too, I was actually crying when he merged with Sora again. The entire concept of the Nobodies is so sad, but I'm glad some of them reawakened as their original selves in Dream Drop Distance (Never played it, but watched the cutscenes) Gotta love Lea : D

I agree that the gameplay is a lot better in 2 compared to the original. It had a very repetitive feel to it in the first game. There's a lot more excitement in the second. Plus, I loved the mystery around Riku and Mickey. I love stories that keep me guessing until the end.

Kingdom Hearts 2 to me is the best game in the series. I think it has the best soundtrack and also the story in that game I thought was incredible.

Kingdom Hearts 2 definitely is the best one in the series without question. It trumps all the other Kingdom Hearts games in gameplay easily. After KH2 they tried out a bunch of new play styles most of which should have never been attempted on DS handhelds. Birth By Sleep turned out satisfactory when it came to combat but KH2 takes the cake.

The soundtracks don't fail to disappoint either and the remastered ones for 2.5 are also fantastic.

Story is the main reason this is my favourite. After Birth By Sleep it takes more effort then it really should to follow and understand.

After Birth By Sleep the series basically went downhill. It's what give KH2 another edge is because it stayed on the right platform. I still don't know why Square Enix is attempting to move the whole series to DS handheld when they've made it abundantly clear it just DOES NOT work

My favorite would be Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days but that's because this happens to be the only game that I have played from the series on my DS, and I kind of enjoyed it a lot.

My favourite is the first Kingdom Hearts, because that is the game that got me into playing JRPGs and video games overall. Before that I only really played mario, sonic, and Tony Hawk.

I am in a minority as I greatly disliked the second game.

My favorite game in the series is Kingdom Hearts 2. I mean it keeps everything good about the first game, gets rid of all the bad things (mainly horrible platforming and confusing worlds like Wonderland), and added stuff that makes the game 5 times as good. Hopefully Kingdom Hearts 3 will be even better than Kingdom Hearts 2.

It's a bit of a hard decision, since all of the games in the series I've played and really do adore. The problem is as well I hadn't actually completed a few of the games either, though I can safely say Kingdom Hearts II was my favorite of the line, The original game may keep in my heart for Nostalgia factors and even being one of my first RPG games I've completed, though Kingdom Hearts II does everything so much better. It's added way more to the game and as a whole I find it a much more pleasant experience over all. I come back to this game constantly year after year because of how engrossed I am with it. There are a few things however I'm not fond with however, though still all in all I can say that this game dominated my teen years back in 2006 and I will never forget the experience playing the game for the first time.

I have to say, I really liked Birth By Sleep. I'm not sure if it was the fact that it was my first game, or that I really liked the story and game play. Fun story I went from BBS to 3D and that was a jump from the first game (chronology) to the last. It was fun!

madmonk_adam : My favorite Kingdom Hearts game is Kingdom Hearts 2 because Kingdom Hearts 2 has a really outstanding story tied to it and gameplay is easy to master than the first Kingdom Hearts game or Kingdom Hearts 1. I liked Kingdom Hearts 2 because the worlds were also bigger in design than the first Kingdom Hearts game or Kingdom Hearts 1. The Kingdom Hearts 2 also let you take control of Mickey whenever Sora died and let you bring Sora back to life with a holy spell that Mickey had in his arsenal of skills as you controlled him for a short period of time. I honestly think Kingdom Hearts 2 was easily hands-down more professional controls of how you could play the game than the first Kingdom Hearts game or Kingdom Hearts 1.

Well so far I've played 1,2, 358/2 days and re:coded And I'm easily gonna have to agree with the popular opinion and go with 2. All the others basically had some big flaw that I didn't like but Kingdom Hearts 2 is the only game which I didn't really have any major gripes with.

And it also really felt like a more complete experience overall. Really the only thing I didn't like was how easy it was (besides sephiroth, he kept reking me :c).

I mean 358/2 days was somewhat repetetive at times with the annoying recon missions and the mission just being similar in general and I found the whole day system kind of annoying even if it is definietly one of the best KH games plotwise.

Re:coded is probably the worst out of all KH games I've played it's basically a pointless side plot which more or less sucked as well. It's like the games also couldn't even decided what game genre it wanted to be. You could argue there was a lot of variety but the thing is most sections weren't even really that good by most standards.

The original Kingdom Hearts was good but had problems. Hated how you had to go through those gummy ship sections every time you wanted to go somewhere. It's understandable somewhat though with it being the first in the series.

My favorite was 358/2 days for the Ds and that happens to be the only game from the series that I have ever played. A while ago I remember asking around for good Ds games since I had access to any Ds game and people kept suggesting that saying it was good so I have it a try and I liked it.

Kingdom hearts II was a flat out amazing game overall, what more can I say. I liked the other ones a lot, but II just blew the others out of the water. The plot to it was great and was something that I really enjoyed.

Really great games, I personally enjoyed Kingdom Hearts 2 the most. Great story line and game play, regrettably was a game I never finished though I look forward at a chance to change that though.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
