If your opponent fails to communicate with you on setting up your game, report them to this thread and you will automatically get the win. If you fail to communicate with them and they report you to this thread, they get the win. If you fail to report them or fail to communicate with them, you'll both be given a tie. Remember, it's your responsibility to PM each other to set a time when you'll meet each other in the netplay lobby and discuss playing your games from there. Also remember that you have 1 week to play your matchup.

Everyone in the winner's bracket has a bye this week so those users will have to wait a week before getting a chance to play their next matchup. Users who recently got knocked out of the winner's bracket also have a bye and will have to wait until next week to see who they play.

Jordanv78 : Well we can still play each other in the finals. whichever of us gets sent to the Loser's bracket has a shot to play the winner of the winner's bracket if they make it to the end of the loser's bracket. So yeah, it could still happen and there's a very good chance of it too. The final matchup is a matchup between the Winner's Bracket winner and the Loser's Bracket winner in the final week 13.

Woo-Hoo ,week 6 of the NES REMIX tourney.    It's anyone's game now!  Things are getting heated up. 

Davideo7 : What if on week 8 there is multiple people with the lowest seed. What happens then?

mourinhosgum : I have 2 solutions. If 2 users are tied for the lowest seed, I'll have them play each other in a matchup to determine who gets the bye. If 3 users are tied for the lowest seed, than I may just have each user play each user in a matchup and the 2 users with the best overall results of all those matchupes would go on to play each other in week 10. That might not make sense so I'll word it this way:

User 1 vs User 2
User 1 vs User 3
User 2 vs User 3

So 3 matchups total and each of those 3 users would be participating in 2 of them. The 2 users with the best overall performance would advance. Again, this scenario would only take place if everyone in week 8 had the same seed number.

Davideo7 : Glad I read your second post before freaking out. Even though I'm a loser , I've still got a bye this week.

I had my match with DisneyGamer & won both.

The first game we played was Mario Bros. I was #2 but for some reason, it didn't take my screenie when I hit F6.


The second game was Balloon Fight. I was player 1 & I did get a screenie for that.

Surgiac : All i can say is that i love the name screenie.

Surgiac and I did play Mario Bros. and Balloon Fight. I lost in both of them and I also couldn't get the screenshots.

mourinhosgum : It's a habit I picked up from playing MMOs. It's faster to type than screenshot, especially if you're fighting.

With my match against vizzy, I beat him at first Urban Champion, which he picked, and then Donkey Kong, which was my choice. Here are the videos for each match. For the DK one, I didn't record until vizzy's first run, so my first try is missing.

This guy hooper played against me tonight at this tournament, but it was all back and forth until we decided to quit for now after three ties.

First round: We played Mario Bros. first until hooper won, then I made a tie with Donkey Kong.
Second round: hooper beat me at Pinball, I beat him at Donkey Kong 3
Third round: hooper beat me at Donkey Kong Jr, I smashed him at Donkey Kong again until he decided to call it quits until Monday.

We will continue this on Monday night, but I'm writing this message to help remind myself as well as inform you that we made three ties, so you can use this as a way to more easily count how many seeds I or hooper should increase, depending on who wins.

P.S.: I will submit as much footage as I can. Unfortunately, I did not record footage for Mario Bros. and messed up when trying to record footage for Pinball. If you ask hooper, though, the results are legitimate.

   I beat MechaMento at both games. I chose Mario Bros, which I won at. Then he chose Donkey Kong 3, which I also won at. MechaMento actually did pretty good!

I'm kinda embarrassed with the result. Usually I can beat the first 2 or 3 stages in one life quickly but I made a silly mistake when getting the rocket after sending Donkey Kong up the ropes and I didn't realize that the bug's patterns change each life so staying the middle didn't work as well as it did the first round.

I guess I am out of the competition then...
