I really don't know.  The Frieza saga was perhaps the best saga in the series, and the battle was indeed epic.  I might have to agree with you there, but I haven't seen enough DBZ to know.

I have not had a chance to see the latest movie. If we forget about that one I would say Freiza as well. Goku had several issues fighting him and had it not been for SSJ he would have lost. Kaioken was no match and Krillin already died. Piccolo would have probably been next to die and then no dragonballs or hope. I do find it interesting just how long 5 minutes is in the DBZ universe hehe.

To me the battle with cell was the most epic.  I am of course biased as the battle with frieza is what drew me to the series and hooked me in but I was not yet familiar enough with the DBZ universe to be as blown away as I was when the battle with cell came around.

The villain that Goku had the most epic battlewith was definitely Frieza. Also, he's just a really cool villain. He killed Krillin (twice). Also, it was the funniest few moments of the Abridged version XD!

Goku's most epic battle had to be against majin buu. This includes fat buu, super/ultimate buu and kid buu because he had the most trouble defeating them. Even ssj3 wasn't enough. But when he fused into vegito things got fun. With kid buu, you saw vegeta open up to goku, he agreed he was the best and risked everything to help him kill buu. In the end it took the spirit bomb to kill buu so I think it was the most epic fight/finale for goku and dbz. Quick question, does anyone think it was foolish and stupid for vegeta to throw the earrings into buu's stomach acid?

I'd say Frieza for the fact that he went super saiyan if it wasn't for the fact that Goku had already won that battle but just dragged it on and on. I'd say his best battle would either be with Kid Buu or Janemba. The two most intense and powerful battles for sure. A cloee third would probably be Bills. He is no doubt my favourite villian.
