This is true. I guess I'll stick with my original vote for favorite video game. We could save the genre question for later because your favorite game doesn't necessarily need to come from your favorite genre.

It's been a few days since everyone submitted the question, and after a few days of consideration, the question was "What is your favorite Video Game?" The murderer left a new letter, answering the question.

Since the Murderer's favorite game is Pokemon X and Y, they must have a great interest in Pokemon, which means they must have made the Pokemon forum a lot to discuss it with others.

So, I've checked around the place, looking for information about all of us.

Here's some information on who has made the most posts there, and who has Pokemon related stuff on their profile or layout.

Surgiac has made the majority of her posts in the Pokemon forum.

FunnyFurret, like Surgiac, has also made the Pokemon forum his most posted in forum. FunnyFurret is also noted to have a Pokemon on his userpic and profile layout.

Chewedmint has made the most of his posts in the Pokemon forum.

Hilacle has made the most of her posts on the Pokemon forum. She also has a Pokemon in her profile layout.

FFFighterDill has made the majority of his posts in the Pokemon forum. He also has a "What pokemon are you" test result on his profile.

XHero111 has made the majority of his posts in the Pokemon forum, and has his Pokemon Party as his userpic and has a ton of Pokemon related images on his biography.

Mlb789 has the Pokemon forum as his 3rd most used forum.

MechaMento has the Pokemon forum as his 3rd most used forum.

Dvkbuddy has made the Pokemon forum his 9th most posted in forum.

As did supernerd117.

It seems as though XHero111, hilacle, FFFighterDill, ChewedMint, and Surgiac have made the most activity in the Pokemon forum, with some having signs of larger liking to Pokemon on their profile.

This doesn't mean I suspect them. Their favorite game could be X/Y amd they don't have much activity on that forum, or they post in the Pokemon forum a lot and don't care for X/Y.

More groundwork is needed here, but this points us a little closer.

I know we "asked" the first question but we haven't "answered" it yet.


Yes, I post in the Pokemon forums frequently, but only because I discuss the series more than any other game series. Pokemon X/Y are not my favorite games.

alexanyways : I know you said you didn't start suspecting me, But however, I'd like to point out that my favorite game (and my first video game/pokemon game) is Pokemon Black.

I admit I'm a true Pokemon Geek, but I have other interests in gaming too. True I may have posted a few times in the pokemon forum (Ok maybe lots of times), but that's because it's the forum I like the most. This does not bring us further to the murderer, maybe another question should be asked.

I don't think this is enough to go on quite yet, if it were something along the lines of BlazBlue we would have it in the bag seeing as I am probably the only person in this game who loves BlazBlue that much. It would require extensive research to pin point it just from X & Y. On the other hand it is not at all impossible, but chances are with a question like this we are going to get a common answer based on the answer we got this time. It's tricky and there is plenty more I can say, but until more has convinced me to share I don't really feel like it, plain and simple. But if you all use your heads we can easily figure this out quickly, not exactly hard detective work when the evidence is so darn clear.

Hey, instead of focusing on who this targets... let's focus on who this clears. Let's think of who doesn't like Pokemon at all, or who doesn't like Pokemon enough to qualify. These people are "cleared" users.

I don't know the lot of you well enough to say who is or isn't cleared, so maybe someone like alex will step up again.

Currently I suspect five people more than any other, though with very little to go on, it's unlikely the murderer is among them unless I was able to pinpoint the killer based on one very vague generic question.

In no particular order, I suspect Surgiac (despite the fact she says she doesn't like X/Y the most. If it was as easy as asking everyone how much they like X/Y, I'm sure the murderer would deny it. You cannot trust anyone's word), mlb789, Chewedmint, a user of this, and alexanyways (Because while I appreciate the work he went through to build that list, it's not unprecedented for the murderer to be a big help to the rest of the group, to deflect suspicion off of themself).

But again, these suspicions are early, and I'm not too confident in them. The question was good, and the answer was expected, but it eliminates a fair number of people from suspicion in my eyes.

I'm not accusing anyone either but I did find something suspicious. Whether or not it's pertinent to this situation, I don't know.


Right after maguc was killed, the killer said, "Don't make me take another innocent friend". The only person in this forsaken mansion on maguc's friend list is A user of this. It's something to think about at least.

Frodlex is out of it. He hates the Pokemon games after Gold, Silver and Crystal.

As for me I have only borrowed Pokemon X from a friend but I didn't enjoy it too much and gave it back early. I am more into Halo and Half-Life.

Surgiac : That is an interesting theory and it looks very reasonable, I am going to be thinking the same way as you for now.

alexanyways : I can let my friends testify for me that my favorite game and series is not pokemon. It's ace attorney, if you're interested. Trials and Tribulations as my favorite.

It was a suspected answer though. Nintendo got much more popular with pokemon x and y recently. It's good, as people either love or hate it. Gives you a 2 way train. I'm not going to suspect anyone without concrete evidence though.

For the record, my favorite game is Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater. I bought Y on launch and was fairly disappointed. So much so that I never got to beating it.

I also suspect Surgiac right now, though her theory is interesting.

FunnyFurret : While those aren't my favorite games, they're up there on my list.  I think Miles Edgeworth Investigations has been my favorite, with Trials and Tribulations a close second.  I have yet to try the fan-made patch for the first two cases of Miles Edgeworth 2 or Dual Destinies (which I want to get so bad!).

Also, putting this out there, but I haven't bought a Nintendo console since the original DS, and I haven't ENJOYED a Nintendo console in even longer.

I'd like a 3DS, but my gaming budget is more tied up in saving up for a PS4, a system I'd actually use.

X+Y looks interesting, but I haven't played it yet, nor do I plan to.

I don't know about anyone else but it sounds like she is trying to deflect the suspicion away from herself. We are trying to find the killer, and since we need to use the answer we have to try and figure out suspects, why would you want to ask another question before everyone has discussed from what we know who could be the killer? That's just my standpoint on hilacle's comment.

Surgiac's theory does make sense, but I doubt that the killer would have killed the only friend he had knowing that we could pinpoint him that easily.

The answer that the killer gave pretty much eliminated 10 or so people, so at least the number of suspects is much lower than when we started.

Edit - Let's say for example, you are the murderer. When Pac asks the question, you say your favorite game is Pokemon X/Y, which is the truth. In the thread however, now that we are talking about the game, you could say, "Well, my favorite game is Kingdom Hearts." The statement in the thread is a lie. So the murderer is telling the truth, but you yourself are lying.
