Gym is always fun, but sometimes it can be better than usual. Each of the 5 gyms in my old high school held one hundred kids which were split between two teachers. Freshman year, I hit the other teacher in the head accidentally with a soccer ball. The same thing happened sophomore year to the same teacher but this time with a volleyball. (Very ironic seeing as though the school has over a dozen gym teachers.) For the first three years, I had regular gym which consisted of volleyball, soccer, and team handball, and during my senior year, I had weight training. How was gym for you? Were there any memorable stories?

Wow. Your gym class seemed very...unorganized. 50 kids per teacher is a lot in my opinion. All the times I have had gym, my classes are only about 15 - 25 kids.

Last year, my gym teacher was pretty strict on basically everything, participation, changing in clothes, etc. This year, I seem to have a good teacher. He is usually late to class, like twenty minutes late, and lets us out of class ten minutes early. He's kind of laid-back, but not in a lazy way. There's a lot of freedom in high school, so I guess this is part of it? i just go to the cafeteria, get some breakfast, and leisurely make my way to the locker room.

I did hit several people in the head with basketballs, all by mistake, and quite frankly, luck. I would do some trick shots at the end of class, and usually by mistake, it would hit someone. I don't mean to offend anyone, but I do laugh when it hits someone. Just a small grunt of laughter, but that's it. Usually, I guess it is because I never get to see that everyday.

Well gym is the most boring class. Instead of doing things that actually require physical activity, we do things like yoga and jump rope and teambuliding exercises. And I am in 9th grade.

I agree with Mr. Zed. Gym class is a lot better when you can actually go outside. Unfortunately, it rains all the time where I live so we were usually stuck inside playing volleyball or something.

I don't really like my gym class all that much to be honest, all we did was do dumb stretches inside and we did games that involved throwing a ball and I honestly dread those because idiots will just form teams and then hog the ball and no one else knows what to do and no one else participates. We also had running activities and cardio which was always easy for me, but everyone else struggled because they are all fat and lazy and 1 lap around the gym is like a year's worth of workout for them, it is rather pathetic actually.

This year I have gym and then drivers ed for the second nine weeks, I am not really sure how it works, but I think that we will rotate every nine weeks or something like that. But yeah I hated my gym classes because everyone was either too lazy to do anything, we stayed cooped up doing dumb activities inside, or whatever activities we did have, guys would just hog the ball. So overall, I do not find gym class to be exciting.

zanderlex : Not Gym . Physical Education . In Jamaica we don't just go out and play soccer or cricket or whatever other sport there is . We have to learn the techniques and also about the body sometimes .  Like the different systems . Physical Education covers alot of Physical stuff including the human body . Gym is more of a work out class

My P.E classes can be unfortunately very bad. This is quite embarrassing to our school since it is a sports dedicated college. Some of our teachers are in my opinion under trained because you can see them messing up all the time. Their ideas of a fun activity is crap, I mean who even likes handball anyway! Luckily there are some good teachers, they are the ones that get us pumped, they are the ones that improve our techniques. That is when I enjoy P.E, I just wish every lesson was like that!

zanderlex : first of all I have a question. What is team handball? Anyway I've had two gym classes in high school. The first of which was a health type class I forgot what it was called but it was my freshmen year . We pretty much just played a game called Gotcha. Gotcha is a basketball game where people get in a line with 2 basketballs and the person behind you has to shoot the ball and make it before the person in front of them to get them out of the game. The second gym class I had was my Junior year and I mostly played Ping Pong every day. I started to get really good at playing Ping Pong too and I really miss it. Some days I would do trick shots in basketball such as throwing the ball against the wall and making it into the goal. By the way the wall was about 25 feet from the goal.

Koda : When people think of handball, most of the time, they think of the little blue ball that they bounce off a wall. But that is called American Handball and is not real handball. (The same as American football and soccer football.) Handball is a team sport that is a mix of basketball and soccer. If you look at the Handball Wikipedia page, you might be surprised.

I haven't doing that great in gym and my schedule replace my Gym class for Odyssey of the Mind. It looks like I have to do my own exercise.

I loved Gym, mostly because I was a student athlete and the coaches loved me. I think they liked me because I did Football and Hockey so much and well. I remember one moment in gym during a hockey game actually I was the centre and the coach was the ref, we were almost out of time, and were in the lead by one (It was a standoff near our goal) and I panicked so they couldn't score by randomly dekeing the puch in a direction, which, just happened to be at my coach.

Honestly, I don't like gym at all, mostly because I am very athletically challenged and would much rather be reading. I'm also quite a perfectionist, so being so untalented at sports, gym is often frustrating for me, or embarrassing, and it just opens up doors for my peers or even teachers to put me down. Besides that, my gym classes are frankly quite boring. I just stand there because nobody passes to me and I'm not fast or coordinated enough to go after most things, and do nothing for an entire period when I could be doing something more useful with my life. Thankfully, I have a friend in the class, and she helps quite a bit with all of that, but I never really like it. In elementary school, I guess, when it was all cute little games I liked PE. Now I wish it wasn't a required class, although I agree that it's nice to offer it for people who are into that sort of thing. I just feel like it's a waste of my time, personally. As an author or scientist, playing kickball will have no application to my life beyond school.

I feel indifferent towards gym class. It all depends on what we're doing during the class itself. I like some of the activities, and others I do not, but quite oftentimes, I can feel like I've wasted my time there. I'm not one of the "cool" kids, nor am I exactly the best at sports, so whenever we're playing most sports, I will just kind of sit there. Luckily though, I am fairly good at baseball and kickball, and since everyone gets to participate in them-pretty much equally-I enjoy them. There are times though when we just do circuits and then others where we just go up the rock climbing wall. I dread climbing up the wall, especially since I have a pretty well-developed fear of heights. I always get to about halfway or three-fourths of the way up and I freak out a little bit, and then tell the belays to let me down. Besides the fear of heights, you also get to wear this extremely uncomfortable harness that very clearly outlines your crotch... It is somewhat embarrassing and you feel like you're going to die while you are climbing. There are days where we actually play fun games though, such as cardio ball, or I guess even knockout, but it all depends.

Gym is alright for me. I have neutral thoughts on it. I am not an athletic person, so I really don't do much, but I participate and try though. Sometimes I have fun, and other times, I just want to go to lunch (which is right after gym class for me). Nothing I considered interesting has happened yet in gym. Then again, I am still a freshman in high school, so not much happened.

No for about half the year it's a class about health and the other half is just weight training. The teacher never cared so basically 90% off the class just did homework like it was a study hall.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.

We prioritize the community over the site profits.  This is why we avoid using annoying (but high paying) ads like most other sites which include popups, obnoxious sounds and animations, malware, and other forms of intrusiveness.  We'll do our part to never resort to these types of ads, please do your part by helping support this site by adding Vizzed.com to your ad blocking whitelist.
