I've done a ton of optimizing on the site. The RGR and VGR searches are much faster, the RGR and VGR game pages are faster, the memberlist is much faster, and many other pages have received optimization. I'm hoping I fixed the problem where the site goes down randomly in the evening for minutes at a time.

If anything on the site has stopped working due to my maintenance or isn't working properly, let me know right away so that I can fix it.

This is awesome because before it took so long for a page to load and I went to the memberlist this morning and it worked really fast! So thank you for doing all of this optimizing and I think it is really going to pay off! I agree with tgags, those random crashes that the side had were pretty irritating, but it is good to now they should run both faster and smoother now. So thank you! 


Vizzed doesn't lag nearly as much as it did before, so that is already a good sign! I appreciate all the work you put in to making this site better!

It turns out that the optimizing I did didn't fix the problem where the site goes down at random times. However, my optimizing did greatly increase site speed.

I do think I found the solution to the site going down problem. I'll post about it in the private forum.

Ever hear of Solid State Drive Hosting? Maybe this will speed site up site. Here is a graph I found which shows how slow godaddy and hostgator are. It says it speeds up site by 300% and can processes atleast double the queries in mysql then normal hosting:

UFO : Hostgator actually does offer Solid State Drives if you ask them about it but it's expensive. I may do that one day when I have the budget but that may be quite a while since vizzed has been hurting financially for the past few months now.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
