I learned loads of thing from vizzed. But the thing I learned the most was respect is earned, not bought and doesn't come to easy. Now I've been living on that lesson since.

A few things.

  • Respect something that should be cherished, not abused.
  • Trying = Rewarding
  • Learning from your mistakes. The community here helps with that... In a good way.
  • How to code. The layout making really helps.
  • How to hack games.
  • There are more games out there then just our modern Spongebob ones.
  • Friends don't come and go easily... But when they do go, they leave a stab in your heart.
And so on. These are the ones that pop into my mind immediately, although, there are much others.

What are the things I have  learned from being on Vizzed?, well I've gotten a better understanding of basic http/css code, I've learned how to use different emulators from various users, I've learned how to take screen shots, my writing skills have improved overall  because of Vizzed
(writing reviews and walkthroughs etc.), my grammar and spelling have improved from posting here on Vizzed, I've learned to better understand and respect others feelings and opinions, and finally I have learned to tolerate, and be respectful towards others.

So.. with the risk of sounding corny, I'm going to very carefully state what vizzed has taught me. I do want everyone reading to know that I am 100% truthful though, and not trying to be cheesy in any way whatsoever.

Vizzed taught me about friendship.

I grew up in a very strict household where me an my siblings really weren't allowed to do much.  We were raised to be so much different from our peers, that we always had trouble interacting or connecting with other children.  This being a part of our lifestyle, along with moving every three years.... meant that I grew up without ever making any friends.

When I started college, I simply wanted to get my degree as fast as possible, and I was still too shy to interact with others.  Then right out of finishing college, I married and started a career.  Without going into details about why..... ever since I got married five years ago, I've still been unable to make real life friends.

I know that many of you grow up in the same neighborhoods, or going to the same schools, or with parents less strict than mine. Even if you're shy, you probably still have some experience and understanding of 'friendship'. I never have.  And the fact is that most of YOU can't even begin to fathom a lack of understanding when it comes to those kinds of relationships.

But let me put it to you this way: Let's say you suddenly find yourself in another country.  You don't know the languages, customs, cultures, locations, or habits of these people.  How would you feel?  More than likely, you'd feel lost, left out, and hopeless.  Everyone else around you wouldn't be able to understand your own confusion.  They'd have grown up with their lifestyles and so to them it seems perfectly natural.  If you feel compelled to ask why they eat a certain food, they might just shrug their shoulders and say "We just do...." (Just pretending language barrier doesn't exist to make a point.)

Anyways, that's how I've always felt about friendship.  I just didn't understand it. I feel like I will never have real life friends.  I don't know how to make them and I don't understand them no matter HOW natural it may seem to everyone else.

Well, this past year, I went through a lot of tough things.  I doubted myself, made bad decisions, cut myself off from others, and questioned my interactions with everyone.  It was during this time that two people had patience with me.  Enough patience with me to make me understand: I have value.  Enough patience to understand:  People CAN care about me.  And enough patience for me to realize:  This is friendship.

I came back to vizzed, eager to explore this new thing.  And I've been doing so.  I've been opening up more, being less selfish, and trying to return at least half of what was given to me.  Thank you vizzed, for showing me such an amazing world I never knew before....

Singelli : Wow, that was a big post!

But I learned how to review games, from reading others' reviews. I also improved my typing speed greatly just from posting here on vizzed. I went from 12 wpm to 44 wpm. I like vizzed and I hope to learn more.

Some things I learned from Vizzed is that you may not agree with everyone, but that's what makes life interesting. Also, I learned that Pokemon Hacks are really fun.

Oh boy...

Warning: Prepare for a Junk load of Stuff I have learned from this site.

1) Tolerance and patience:  I esstainally learned this when I was new,  You have to be very patient around this site.  I was never thinking I could become a higher rank then normal, but Patience and tolerance, did help me get through this.

2) Never Sugarcoat anything:  There are plenty of Real People here on this site, if you just continue to sugarcoat everything. Then you are 1) Not being yourself. 2) Not being honest either.

3) Trusted and up isn't all that:  I used to think being the so called "Trusted and Site staff" Was a Huge deal. In some cases it is, but Most of time it's not. I realized this Just recently. That you shouldn't become power hungry for a rank.

4) Learn from mistakes: I've learned this out of exp and the site. is that Nobody is exactly Mr perfect.  There's Nobody I recall living their live without messing up anything even once.  I've Cheated a Rgr Competetion by using a re reg.  I learned and regretted ever doing that. I got punished for it, with a three day ban from pacman1755. but The ban did really help and pull me through in learning more and knowing the site better.

5) Always Learn to deal with Circtisim:  I was a pretty darn bad reviewer, Pretty much like a Noob at reviewing. I had grammar errors, didn't place periods, and spelling mistakes, and on top of all that, some of my reviews didn't meet or barely passed length requirements.  But after taking some advice into consideration from others, I got much better at doing it. .

6) Respect is a common thing site or not  There was a sang that my family told me Saying "Always respect your elders"   I had a habit of being bad and somewhat disrespectful to others, but I tried being myself, learning to mature, and Be nicer to everyone around here.

7) Chat with others every once in a while I usually didn't know very much people around here when I was a so called Noob or Newbie.  But I started going into chat when I found it.  I started Getting to know people like Metroidhunter72, Austipokedude, and thefadedwarrior.

8) Learn how to forgive: I got ticked off once,  Because Friends used to get on my nerves by summoning me to troll threads, trolling me, making fun of my username, and making me look bad. In other words: Pushing my buttons.  I Got over it.  Eventually, forgave those who did all that, well most of them, others continued to try and anger me.

9) Make friends: You always wanna make friends within or outside the site.  Because there are plenty of online friends here who you can dicuss problems with. They can easily pull your troubles away, or Help with your problems.  I used to have plenty of problems, and getting very tempered. until users like Eniitan came around.

Welp that's basically it. Very good question btw.

The only thing I ever learned from this site is Internet slang to be honest.
I had no clue what memes were before I joined this site heck I didn't even know what yolo meant I always thought it was a abbreviation of some sort.

I have learned how to post easily, how to access games, how to make friends and talk/ communicate with other users, I know how to make, create, and request a thread to be closed or trashed. I have also learned to respect all users and I have learned the way and ranking of status on vizzed as well

I have learned to not flame, spam and to be patient and not start a war.
I have learned to not make dupes, or bump thread when they get too old.
I have learned how to make great friends
I have also learned how to make good reviews and take constructive criticism on them which I do.

This site has taught me so much and I am glad to be here and learn from it.

So I have learned all of this and much more on my time on vizzed. I haven't even been here a year yet though, so who knows how much more I could potentially learn about the ways of this awesome site?

Some of the things I learned is that on Vizzed like looking at some other reviews that others made and learned from them and now I end up making pretty good reviews and also, making a lot of on-topic posts now than any other forum I was on.

It's cool how much you guys have all learned from Vizzed. I kind of had a different experience, though.

I learned that forum etiquette, or netiquette, is dead. Very few people care anymore about making sure their posts are well thought out or even spelled correctly. I've learned that more often than not, people refuse to read a thread before posting in it. Used to be people cared about what you said, even if it was only to argue, at least the read what was posted. Now you can't even have a flame war because nobody would even notice that they're being trolled. (This isn't totally a bad thing, but the reasons it happens are all wrong.)

I've learned that Christians are really awful people. I mean I kind of knew that already, but I didn't quite understand the extent of their intolerance and lack of empathy.

I've learned that people are more concerned with pointless numbers like post count than the community.

I've learned that forum people aren't always good people.

I've learned how pointless it is to try to help someone who doesn't want it.

It's sad that I've had such a negative experience here, because when I found Vizzed, I thought there weren't forums anymore. I thought they had gone the way of the BBS and I especially thought there were no more acmlm boards. I was very happy to see it, and for about 9 months I had a very good time here, met some really great friends, and generally enjoyed myself. But as my first summer came, and more and younger kids joined, and more of the older users left, this place lost its sense of community. It's sad really, the site that brought back my faith in the web is also the same site that destroyed it.

Lazlo Falconi :  I also think you contributed to your experience.  There aren't many people here who have had an 'awful' experience.  In fact, I'd be willing to say that there are thousands of members who enjoy it and get a sense of community from it.  Some people just don't fit into certain communities is all. Especially people that can't get over their differences with others.

Lazlo Falconi : What exactly led you to believe that Christians are intolerant people? If you read some posts here from someone, then can I see that post? If you knew Christians, we are the most tolerant people on the planet.
