I got a shiny Wingull awhile ago in Pokémon Emerald. Unfortunately, that Wingull got transferred up to my copy of Pokémon Black which I hacked with a bad code and the game got corrupted !

I have captured 5 Shiny Pokemon (and that is not in X and Y). I have a Tropius, a Tailow, a Rampardos, and a Gyarados. They are not easy to find, and I put in a few hundred hours into my games and this is all shiny I can find.

I guess I'm like everyone else here....I only captured shiny Gyarados in Pokemon Silver. I don't play pokemon that much, but my brother does...and he has a nice collection of shinnies.
Speaking of which, my cousin once told that he encountered a shiny pokemon, what he did was injuring the pokemon so that it is about to die, but that shiny pokemon used a move that does RECOIL DAMAGE, so it died before he even had the chance to use the pokeball.

I think everyone who has ever played Gold, Silver, or Crystal has at least SEEN the Red Gyarados at the Lake of Rage, so I won't count that. The only other time a caught a shiny Pokemon was actually on accident. When I started a new game, I called myself Neo (from the Matrix, I'm a big Matrix fan). Apparently when you use that name, your starter Pokemon ends up being a shiny one. It doesn't matter which one you pick. But I picked Cyndaquil, and it was a shiny Pokemon, and it was the only one I've ever had.

I caught 4 shiny Pokémon without the use of any tricks or use of the patch of grass that grants the next Pokémon you find a shiny. I'm not really fond of shinies anyways. If I caught Pokémon that I plan to use and like an hour later I find a shiny version of said Pokémon, I don't bother catching it because by that time, my original is much more powerful and it would be annoying to release it and train the shiny.

Just one It's a Zubat, of all things. I once saw a shiny Psyduck but I don't remember if I caught it. That's not counting the red Gyarados, though. I always catch it in my HeartGold playthroughs, and I've probably done at least five.

As of right now I am at 83 shiny pokemon, I have actually obtained a few new ones by trading with others on the player search station. I have given up hope for the GTS because every shiny pokemon people obtain, they only ask for meloetta and diancie and other stuff like that even though an event for diancie has taken place since the 19th of this month. I am going to and breed for a shiny spiritomb using the masuda method which is probably one of the methods I use the most, next to chain fishing. So as of right now I am at 83 shiny pokemon.

I got a shiny gliscor (legitimate, I checked it on pokecheck) with poison heal, and max ivs in attack,speed,hp,defense,and special attack (which is kinda disappointing tbh) he was also ev trained! (252/100/144/8/0/4) if anyone was curious, and all we wanted was a moltres holding a flying gem, sweet deal if you ask me! Other than that though, only the red gyarados from lake rage.

In Pokémon X, I caught a shiny Growlithe, Togepi, Jigglypuff and a Burmy. I also got a shiny Pichu and a shiny Minun from eggs. I have many other shinies that got from trades, but those are the one that I caught and hatched.

In Pokémon Emerald, I only caught a shiny Wurmple so far.
