Well since my Vizzed RGR Plugin will not let play games for some reason (So I have to play it with Java), So I decided to make a new series called "What Video game is Better?", It's kind of like "What Game console is Better?" (So no one asks yes I will still be doing "What Game console is Better?" with this) only with the Games instead of the Consoles, So our First one here is Super Mario Bros. 2 USA vs. Super Mario Bros. 2 The lost levels, So for the those of you that don't know (All 2 of you) Super Mario Bros. 2 was just released in Japan and was planned to be released in the USA, But Nintendo of America thought it was too hard (It really is) for American gamers and never released it in America (Well kind of), So they took another Japan only game Doki Doki Panic and redid the old Doki Doki Panic characters into Mario characters (Mario,Luigi,Toad & Peach) and released in America as Super Mario Bros. 2, But that's not the real story of It, The real story is that some time after the release of the First Super Mario Bros. Game, The development team try making a Mario game that only went Vertical instead of Horizontal like the First game, Then the team saw that a Mario game were you only went up wouldn't be as fun, Then Miyamoto came in and told them to add Horizontal moving to the game, In this prototype Mario game you could throw items at boss's and enemies to defeat them and there was even a co-op feature were you could throw the other player to hard to reach places, Then the deal with Fuji TV was struck and this prototype became Doki Doki Panic, While the co-op was dropped some of the things in the prototype can be seen in Doki Doki Panic & Super Mario Bros. 2 USA, Now going back to the real story of SMB2, But since the Japan Super Mario Bros. 2 was too hard for the USA gamers, So they redid Doki Doki Panic into the game the prototype was gonna be in the first place...a Sequel to the First SMB game, They replaced Fuji's Characters with Mario Characters and released in the USA, So I guess the Mario 2 we got was the true sequel all along, So just like "What Game console is Better?" It will have same saying, So it's up to you to decide "What Video game is Better?" (Whoa this is long, But this is the First of a series so yeah, So if you want a HARD but good (*cough*unfair*cough*) challenge than play Lost Levels, If you want a different Mario play style (*cough*more fair game*cough*) than play USA, I hope you enjoy this new series!)

I think Super Mario Bros. 2: The Lost Levels is better because of the fact that Super Mario Bros. 2 USA is Doki Doki Panic re-textured and SMB2 Lost Levels is a little more challenging and I like a good challenge.

The Lost Levels is superbly designed, but Super Mario Bros 2 (or Doki Doki Panic) gets a plus in my book for accessibility and for advancements to the genre.  It just feels better playing that game, I'm not sure why.

My my opinion, I say the best SMB 2. games is that Japanese version (a.k.a. the Lost Levels), because since it's like the first one but with a whole lot more levels and newer features.

I actually haven't played The Lost Levels before. I know the story behind it though, how it's the real Mario sequel and it was deemed too difficult for western audiences so Nintendo reskinned an egyptian themed game and released it as the second Mario. Am I making a mistake by not playing The Lost Levels, is it that good? I've just never tried it. No reason, really. I just haven't played it.

Although as a game alone the true Super Mario Bros. 2 game is better, but I actually liked the fact that we got the one we did. First off, the true sequel is just new levels, along with some minor changes. It's not like SMB 1 to SMB 3, where many changes occur. You get better for your money getting two completely different games, even if USA wasn't as good as the others.

I like The Lost Levels better. It is it's own original game, unlike Super Mario bros. 2 USA, which is just a copy of Doki Doki Panic but with different characters and a different story

Some people say that they like Lost Levels because Super Mario Bros. 2 is a re-textured Doki Doki Panic and Lost Levels is it's own distinguished thing. But Lost Levels was not really distinguished. Other than where they placed bricks and enemies, it was absolutely no change to Super Mario Bros. The graphics were 100% the same for the levels, environments,  and sprites. The music was 100% unchanged. I could pick many screenshots from Super Mario Bros and Lost Levels, and nobody would be able to tell me for sure which ones came from which game. So neither were really their own thing, but at least Super Mario Bros 2 was new compared to Super Mario Bros, so my vote goes to the US release.
