I won't lie to you if this world didn't have Video Games The fun we have today wouldn't be fun it would be dull and boring. If you think it is boring now it will be a whole different story if there were not any Video Games. So in this thread just share your opinion on how this world would be without Video Games good luck .

a good chunk of my life would be taken up by who the hell knows what, and a i wouldn't have met a ton of my friends if Pokemon especially didn't exist. so please, don't even talk about a world without them 0_0

I think it would be boring, but the world would not be as violent.

I don't think the loss of video games would affect the world in anyway all it does is offer entertainment and so does alot of other things as well such as a radio and a t.v.

For me, I would think that the world will be fine in the times you can do any fun outdoor activities, but if you have free time and your stuck at home, then it would be very boring. . . I would definitely not handle that. . .

linkmaster99 : Yep, we basically meant that video games are perfect for mostly entertainment and fun at home when you don't have anything else to do. So if there is no video games in this world, then we will indeed just rot at home. But other than that, we might possibly be fine. (with outdoor activities. . . etc)

I'd get by, but I would feel as if I was missing something. The reason I love video games so much is because I get to be an entirely different person. Just able to get away from it all for a short while. If I didn't had video games, the world just wouldn't be the same. I could live without, but it'd be sort of difficult.

I wouldn't like it, but I think I could manage living without them, I like to go outside and draw and do lots of other things aside from playing video games. Sure my life may not be as fun or complete, but I don't think I would die without video games, I think that they are fun to play and I enjoy playing them, but I think I would be able to survive without them. We can always find something else to do instead of video games, so I think I would be fine, maybe at first it would suck for me, but eventually I would get over it and find something else to do instead of video games.

Oh my gosh I could not imagine this world without video games I bet this website vizzed would not even be here i bet i would die, there would not be great entertainment and everyone would be so board, this world would not be fun, thank gosh we have video games.

It would be just the same as it was when I was a kid.

For starters There would be more Middle Weight Folks than Super Light Weight and Mega Heavy Weight. (I am certain of this.)

More people would still be reading more. (Remember when comic books had 60 to 90 pages instead of 15? Every month too.) (Remember Magazines?)

The Movie theatre might be frequented more.

The Music World Might not have changed much. But I am certain Radio would not have gotten so loose with the rules that every 15 minutes there's something to laugh at. (Ever Play Saint's Row 2 or 3? The Guys on my radio station did a few spots in that game. And They are the similar in the stations performance in life as they are in the game.)

More people would watch regular sports.

I am certain more youth would explore a bit more than average. (Some one actually called 911 after getting lost in a corn field.)

Road directions by locals would be given without the use of a "phone app." Period. (My biggest guess. BUT ... I am certain of it regardless.)

The down side?

The Cameras that are everywhere now will be able to record more human behaviour. I hate when people can predict human behaviour due to technology instead of experience or Facts.

In the last ten years I have seen so many adds for medication on T.V.
One has to wonder what the need of the cameras are for.

Another Down Side?

I suspect that the youth would have figured out a way to maintain street fighting and back alley brawls. (Granted it never really went away but I suspect there would be more cases of it.)

When Video Games got popular for my generation? Violence Dropped Big time. (At least in my schools it did.) More people had things in common. And if they did not play the same game or was aware of the same game? It was not a conversation stopper.

(Example: "Hey Joe you catch the Ball Game Last Night? No? -Moves on to the next person.- Hey Phill how about that game last night?")

With Gamers?

(Example: "Did you play Ninja Gaiden? No? You Played Strider. What's That?" Blah blah blah blah blah. About Three pages or more of words I do not have the energy to type.)

Simple communication and acceptance. Two simple componets of ending many possible violent people before they start. (In my humble opinion.)

That fairly sums up my opinion of this "what if" tale.

The world would be fine without video games. Before video games were even made you didn't see people complain that they were bored. There were lots of things to do before video games. So basically there is no difference in life without video game. 

Some people would be bum and some would live just fine. My generation which is 1980 to 2000, most of us wouldn't be well. Video Games were an escape for us when we were bored, angry and wanted to take it out on something, it started some friendships in arcades, it helped depression. Some of our parents played video games at our age, and still do. They talk about how they played Frogger from sun up to sundown. Yea, back in the 90's we still played outside, but without video games some people wouldn't live well, happiness would be a little low, people would take their violent needs on real people. On the other hand without video games: health would be higher, finding hobbies would be easier, and a little more free time.
