I hate those, especially when I'm typing a long post and once I click the "Submit post/Tread" and you get an error message and you go back and you loose everything that you typed down, it's aggravating.

That's only happened to me once, but what I usually do to prevent losing my post entirely in an error is if I'm writing a huge review or a game guide, I highlight all the text with my computer mouse, right click on the highlighted text, hit the "copy" button, and if the error happens I can just go back to the thread later and re-paste everything.

I was in a debate with an acquaintance of mine over on the forum I'm actually quite active on, Armor Games...the debate was over America's usage of the atomic bomb in WWII. 
I had a very long winded post in which I was responding/rebutting the claims he was making, and subsequently winning the debate..only to accidentally click out of the text box.

But why is this such a big deal? 
Well...I didn't realize that I had clicked out of the box...and I then clicked backspace in order to fix a typo (keep in mind, I was, basically, at the end of my post) and because I had clicked out of the text box, the backspace action took me back to the previous page...making me lose all of what I had said, and causing me to do it all over again.

I believe this only happens when you are creating a thread and after a certain amount of time the page will time out (probably to prevent hacking attempts). So when creating a thread and the post is really long, make sure to save it in a text file (notepad or wordpad) before clicking Submit or Preview to avoid losing the post.

I think it'd be cool to save drafts for threads or posts. It'd also be cool if a message could appear for confirmation of a post or warning that something is missing from the post to avoid the loss of all the material written.
