I HATED the hobbit an Unexpected Party! The story line was a utter failure on Peter Jackson's part. He took an old dead goblin king from who knows how long ago and shoved it into the story completely killing all the other parts of the story. My other issue was with Radagast the Brown. He was a little mushroom eating tip toeing dwarf who was a complete freak. I have other issues but those are the main ones. My only explanation for radasgast's case is that the new PG-13 viewers is 5th graders. He made the movie silly so they could laugh. Over all Peter Jackson took a dump on my entire childhood that was based around J.R.R. Tolkien's work.

With me, I haven't watched the movie so I really can't say if I do or not, but more likely after I had to read a book in school that the movie based on, and after reading it, I'm really not that too interested in watching it because normally, I don't watch a movie because I read in a book, normally it pretty much from a T.V. Show, Video Game, or a previous movie squeal.

You're the only one. Sorry! I thought it was good, I'll definitely go see the next one in theaters.

I've read the books. Other than omitting a character, they did fine!

I fell asleep during the "Lord Of The Rings" first movie.
If that does not tell a person something? Then I suggest they "Unplug" and get thee a life.
If memory serves I fell asleep during the original Hobbit animated feature when I was a kid.
Making "Tolkken" interesting for the modern generations is hard due to some of the things the original writer intended with his work. (According to many a "nut-case style" Tolkken fan. They say he created a complete world that had to reflect the real world in some manner. I think there is a hint of writers envy in these theories but still it is fun to hear about them.)
Regardless the information still puts a person to sleep.
Better than a glass of Warm Milk.
Good Luck.

Good Luck To All.
I'm done. Stick a fork in me.
Peace.

Considering that there are more parts to come (they only covered about 1/3 of the book in the movie), the movie isn't totally complete without some sequels. But so far, it went along with the book (of which I have read for the record) rather well. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie all the way through.

BTW, the guy who played Radagast the Brown, Sylvester McCoy, was actually the 7th Doctor in the Doctor Who series.

No, I enjoyed the movie and I read it right after I re read the book, i thought it was really good, most of the characters were really ugly but that is expected with the Lord of the rings movies, the trolls are hideous and the dwarves are disgusting and foul, but nevertheless it pretty much followed the entire book and I just think it is unfortunate that it is divided into 3 parts like Lord of the Rings. The 2nd one is supposed to be released on 12-13-13 and the 3rd on 12-14-14 I am pretty sure. I thought it was a great prequel to the movie and I really liked it despite how long it was, so overall I really liked the movie and I can't wait for the second one.

Well, I enjoyed the movie a lot. It has been a while since I have seen the film, but from what I can recall, it is a very good movie. The writers kept to the book as best as they could. They had a lot of good action scenes and the humor was great. The characters were well made. The actor that played Bilbo was great for the job, as well as all the rest of the cast. The trolls were hilarious when they were trying to kill the little hobbit and the dwarfs. Everything in that movie was very well done. The next movie date, coincidentally, is 12-13-13. And the next movie date is 12-14-14. Pretty strange if you ask me, but you can guarantee my money going to the movie. I am hoping that the next movie is even better than the last one!

My dad rented The Hobbit for us from redbox.

I don't want to watch it, so many of my friends HATE that movie. I don't like watching movies that might suck.

Wow really? This movie was a completely amazing follow up to the lord of the rings movie, and I can't wait to see the other 3 or 4 that's going to follow. I'm excited, I bought the new hobbit for 10 bucks and now own all the lord of the rings movies for 5 bucks each. Amazing movie AND book collection to own.

I thought it was a very good movie. You my friend, might be the only one who didn't enjoy the movie. I loved every last bit of it and it was probably one of the best movies I had seen in a while. I can't wait for the second one to come out.

I liked it, but I know someone who was pretty disappointed that it wasn't like the books. But the reason they revived Azog, along with the shadow falling over Greenwood recently and all the other inconsistencies, was because Tolkin's estate refused to sell Jackson the rights to "Unfinished Tales" and "The Silmarillion". So Jackson needed some filler, and to write around backstories.

Hello there! .. How are you today? .. I'm great.

As much as this is an interesting question, I can't do anything but disagree with you! How can you not like this movie. I know you're entitled to your own opinion. But. The Hobbit was an amazing movie. The story line was very identical to J.R.R Tolkien's book, which is an extremely great thing. The acting in this movie was amazing and outstandingly brilliant. The lines in the movie were funny as well as courageous. Oh my word, how can you not like this movie.

That's just my opinion, and you're entitled to yours! I can't think of anything bad about the Hobbit except that it should have been even longer than it was. (even though it was super long) I wanted more of it.
