With the next generation consoles coming out this year, do you think they will do as well as this current generation. Also which console are you most interested in, personally I have always liked Sony more because of the exclusives and do you think that the WiiU will be the downfall of Nintendo?

The Wii U will not be a downfall. It is twice as better than the original Wii. People just can't afford it. I am rooting for the PS4. The only problem that these consoles will have is their price. I guarantee you that it will be the problem.

I am extremely excited. This will be the first time since the N64 that I will be able to buy a console at it's release. I'm really excited about the PS4, and hoping it really comes through for Sony. Even though I don't like the wii U concept, I am actually looking forward to trying the new Mario and Zelda titles. I hope Nintendo gets off of this "wii" motion sensor stuff next gen.

I'm excited about all the next gen systems just to see what they can all do. I can tell you though...that I probably wont by the New Xbox or PS4 since they probably will cost somewhere in the 400 to 600$ dollar range and the launch titles are always sub par. I'll probably take a year after the systems come out to decide which one I want to buy.

Eirinn : The Wii U should be gone from the motion controls, as long if they did this one thing: made the Wii U Pro controller work with every game. It's a great controller, and should be able to do most stuff the main controller can do (besides the touch screen of course). 

   But to what I think about this nex-gen thing, I don't really have high hopes for it. The PS4 is kind of a letdown, and if Microsoft does what it was rumored to do, by basically trying to eliminate the used game market, it won't do well. I do like the Wii U though. I don't care if the graphics are on par with the old gen. systems. They don't really mean anything to me. But the price of the PS4 will probably be insane, causing it sell badly at first. I don't really know about the Xbox yet, but the controller will tell a lot once it's shown off. And they should really dump the Kinect. It's even worse than the motion controllers.

patar4097 : So it can be played without motion controls? If so, I would like to get one. I'll probably buy one eventually anyway, just for the Zelda and Mario games. As for PS4 prices, I don't think there's been a set price yet, but it's rumored that Sony plans to sell it cheaper than the PS3 was at launch price.

Eirinn : Games like New Super Mario Bros. U still has motion controls if you are using a Wiimote (don't know about the game pad). It's to use the spin jump thing like in NSMB Wii. And I don't think the Pro controller has motion controls, but with the extra buttons it has, who cares? But the Wii U does minimize motion controls.

    And for the price of the PS4, that's not saying much. $600 was crazy expensive, and saying that it will be less doesn't mean it will be reasonable.

I not too excited for the next generation of consoles. They seem just like the consoles of today, just slightly better. Besides, I'm too absorbed in previous generations of game consoles to care.

No I'm afraid I'm not to terribly excited for the consoles that are be released/coming out. I'm not exited not one bit because apparently they will not support slightly older games for the consul in the series that  they will continue. What I mean by that is Xbox 720 will not support Xbox360 or Xbox games, and PS4 will not support PS3 or PS2 or PS1 games. I feel any system that comes out based of the Nintendo wii will ultimately fail anyways due to the fact that no really good games nor franchises make good quality games for that system.

I'm not really looking ahead to the next gen consoles, since they are basically upgraded versions of previous consoles, they will probably be too expensive, and I bet these new consoles are just an excuse for more zombie games.

Not really to tell you the truth I probably won't be buying the next generation consoles I would have to start all over and waste another five-hundred dollars on games and the system.

I am not really excited about new consoles.
Mainly because many games are being released Premature and Incomplete like "Soul Calibur 5"
Plus you have to wait a few years anyway due to the new Systems themselves having flaws like "The Red Ring Of Death For the first X-Box 360 Model".

With those two facts in modern gaming?
I have no joy at all.
Regardless of the system (Playstation, X-Box, or Nintendo) they all have their setbacks or flaws.

Granted there have been many bad games throughout the years past but when it comes to incomplete games???
It is unacceptable. We all work hard for our cash. They Should Too.
I will admit I have had my socks knocked off a few times by games I have bought.
But I should not have to research them "like a Lawyer working on a case" to determine what might be good or not.
Same goes for the System.
I should not have to keep tabs on news revolving around "the life span of a new console".
When I say "I am very cautious before I put money down"? I mean Just that.
The Business is supposed to be "Supply and Demand".
They already have the demand.
What is so hard about Supply?
As I stated before, I think they should play around with the Current Gen Consoles a little more and find out what the actual limits of them are.
As opposed to releasing incomplete games to give the impression that the current consoles are weak.
I say forget that mess and don't buy till a good year or two has passed after the launch of the new systems.
We all have the power to "vote with our wallet." (Stated by another youtube Game reviewer. "Zone of the Enders" was the game. I think .. Anyway.)
You can either struggle for the scraps.
Or
You can hold out for a better deal and see what goes down.
I say do not get excited.

I am not really that exited either, it is mostly because I content with the games out now. I love my PS3 but I don't want to buy a new one yet, plus the rumor that the PS4 will not play PS3 and PSN games is kind-of a deal-breaker. I am also not really excited because the jump from the PS1 - PS2 - PS3 were huge but the PS4 doesn't really look that much of a difference honestly, I know they are better, but this time I am not exited of the graphics. The last thing is the emphasis of social features, I don't really have any friends that enjoy video games as much as I do, plus I am not that social most of the time. I gotta say this is probably me least favorite least excitable generation ever. P.S with the Wii U I am waiting for more 1st party games to come out.

I already got the Wii U and it is awesome.  Just needs to release more fun games. Once I get the money, I am going to get the Xbox One because I want to keep my achievements. Cant wait to get it.

Yes, there's not really many games out for PS4 or Xbox1 to warrant any excitement over the systems. I did stop by a Best Buy today and check out the PS4 and it seems OK. Never been much for graphics so it didn't impress me much.
