I am sorry if I continue offtopic... But I think one miracle of christ was that he was not a god and merely a man, though of divine origin. Atleast this was mentioned by many religion teachers of my youth and they were not Jehovas witnesses nor did they deny the holy trinity. The fact that he was down with the same level with us mere mortals and lived, suffered and died like us kinda is what... sorry my english gets foggy on these subjects and I cant remember the right passages in the bible... made the sacrifice he made true.

Atleast it was told to me something along those lines.

It's not an easy concept to explain and many people who try to come up with analogies but fall short. Even so, we do know that certain understandings of the Trinity are incorrect and heretical and it's been like this for a long time. Remember from what I quote previously from the Nicene and Athanasian Creed, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are of same substance, same nature, but of different persons. By the logic that you suggested, you would be saying that the Father is not God. You just said one God in three persons, which is saying that the Father is God, Jesus is God, and the Holy Spirit is God. When you are talking about the Holy Trinity. We are saying that our God is a trinity. I'm going to step back from this discussion of the trinity because I would have to spend more time talking about those definitions, and the definitions are very specific. Remember the prophesies you were talking about the Messiah being Jesus? Take a look at one of those prophesies:

For a child is born to us, a son is given to us. The government will rest on his shoulders. And he will be called: Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. (Isaiah 9:6)

Well there's not really one but god the father god the son and god the Holy Spirit he's pretty much three in one which is called trinity okay Iam done

well person imply's human to me and while I can see that applying to Jesus GOD and the Holy Spirit not so much so I used Being

 .... it seems to me we are just arguing over the words used  not core concept I agree we should move on ...

this suggests to me that the same as alot of denominational disputes it comes down to translation But since I only just found out how to find the Hebrew and Greek translation in my Bible Explorer software I'll leave it for further study.

I'm actually looking at where beiefs come from but it is hard since they all show "biblical" evidence even the Mormons 

RetroSteve : Here's a good website for you to use: http://www.blueletterbible.org/ This website has all of the Bible with some of the translations, and it also has a Greek and Hebrew Concordance and dictionary attached to it as well as the Greek and Hebrew words lined up word for word.

I don't get how this would be an issue, since ēl still means God...in fact Genesis uses this Hebrew word for God...

Example: "And he said, I [am] God, the God of thy father: fear not to go down into Egypt; for I will there make of thee a great nation:" (Genesis 46:3)

Also this isn't a denominational dispute.

Not sure either as they both have been translated as GOD but the literal Meanings differ one meaning only gods ... strange that it's plural and the other meaning strength and might or ... as translated GOD 

I make no comment other then to point out there is a difference
