In my last thread of my cat, I said that I would make a thread if she is about to pass away.  Well here it is. :'( I can't believe this is actually happening to me right now.  My mom is going to the vet tomorrow and they are going to put her out of her misery.  I am not going to be able to get through this.

She is a year younger than me and I see her like a little sister.  She has been with us from Canada to Texas to Tennessee.  She has been in all my life and I really enjoy having her.  Sometimes she would bug me and I would get mad at her, but I know that the end of the day, I still love her.  Seeing the end of her is going to be painful.  I would always have her by my side and I will always love her for the rest of my life.  Rest in peace Sissy.  We love you. :'(

Note:  I typed all of this right next to her, so this was really hard for me to type all of this. :'(

Wow man, that really sucks to have a pet put down like that. I hope you can get through this.

Wow. I can not believe that this is really here. I am kind of sad to see this. I had a cat that died last year and it was really hard. He died in the litter box after struggling with kidney desiese. Its hard

I'm sorry, Marc. I really did hope your cat would get through of all of this. Such is the cycle of nature. Be glad that you two had a great and fulfilling relationship together. Rest easy knowing that it all ended well.

As I said in the chat room, this reminds of when I lost several pets --not in the same time period. It is very disheartening to lose such a member of the family.

I know how it is to lose a pet so I can relate to your pain.

Well I know this is a very delicate phase in your life and it is also very hard to having bear the separation in this way....but have courage this is part of life...just hope that she is happy where ever she is and without any sufferings.....and she rests in peace.

Well we all knew this was coming,but yeh.very sad.losing a pet is always sad,especialy when you've grown up with them.
But ultimately,it has to be done for the good of your cat,its not fair to keep it suffering,at least it had a good long life.

I know how it feels to lose an animal companion. For many people it is losing a family member, like you said, losing a sister.  Most of my pets have died of old age naturally, so I did not have to anticipate them being taken to the vet and put to sleep. Sorry to hear you are going through this. I hope you can find solace in the fact that she had a long happy life with your family. You are a good person for giving your cat the life she deserved. RIP Sissy.

I've only had to have one cat put down, it was very sad. In third grade, I actually had my class pray for her.

I have edited my thread and added a photo of my cat.  It was taken on the night I was with her, which was her last night.
