In my last thread of my cat, I said that I would make a thread if she is about to pass away.  Well here it is. :'( I can't believe this is actually happening to me right now.  My mom is going to the vet tomorrow and they are going to put her out of her misery.  I am not going to be able to get through this.

She is a year younger than me and I see her like a little sister.  She has been with us from Canada to Texas to Tennessee.  She has been in all my life and I really enjoy having her.  Sometimes she would bug me and I would get mad at her, but I know that the end of the day, I still love her.  Seeing the end of her is going to be painful.  I would always have her by my side and I will always love her for the rest of my life.  Rest in peace Sissy.  We love you. :'(

Well we all knew this was coming,but yeh.very sad.losing a pet is always sad,especialy when you've grown up with them.
But ultimately,it has to be done for the good of your cat,its not fair to keep it suffering,at least it had a good long life.

I know how it feels to lose an animal companion. For many people it is losing a family member, like you said, losing a sister.  Most of my pets have died of old age naturally, so I did not have to anticipate them being taken to the vet and put to sleep. Sorry to hear you are going through this. I hope you can find solace in the fact that she had a long happy life with your family. You are a good person for giving your cat the life she deserved. RIP Sissy.
