Yeah, my school does. Last year, certain assignments could be given as "Study Strong" assignments, meaning that if they weren't turned in on time, you'd have lunch detention. Skipping that leads to After-School detention. Skipping that adds another. I think after a certain point, the punishment will go to suspension and ultimately expulsion, but I don't think anyone went that far. Of course, there is also after school detention for breaking various rules.

I am not quite sure about what our school's detention system is (which is good) but I do know that they have Saturday school.

The private school I was in had a detention system but it's rarely used. On occasions someone severly misbehaves our teacher assigned them detention. Which like most schools was an hour after school.

My school has a detention system, and you can get one just by not doing your homework, luckily for me I always manage to get my work done .

I've only gotten 1 detention my whole life.. and that was for chewing gum in 6th grade XD.

I don't like my school detention system at all! Even the good kids get detention because if you get 3 tardies, you get detention
the passing period is only 4 mins and the school is HUGE with a lot of students to there are literally hallway traffic-jams between every single period

My history teacher actually had a very clever system. Your first detention was just show up, then go home. Any after that, you show up, he gives you lines to write, then you go home. The number of lines were based on how many detentions you've had. What you had to write was based on what you did.

"My book is a fountain of knowledge that should always come with me to class."

He also had some for showing up late, but I don't remember those.
