Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)
Gray Banner: Veteran member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who signed up more than 7 years ago)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:

-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-You're found to be reviewing games that you have not finished
-You post twice in a row on a thread (Blog threads are an exception)
-Your posts are found to be below site standard to unfairly gain points or are completely off topic
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day
-Staff members are not allowed to feature their own reviews during the Tour de Vizzed

Reminder: Be sure to PM the RGR Staff if you want a game page added to the site that the site currently doesn't have.

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing

Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Also the following types of threads have been restricted 1 post per day.
This Thread, ABC, Elimination, and Hangman style threads. Currently ask me anythings not restricted unless abused.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

Good luck everyone who's competing! I'm sticking to my retirement for the most part I have some goals that are in reach that I might compete here and there for but I'm good on winning anything major.

kind of surreal to see no strike through the Video Submission

I do want to compete this month, I have a few goals that I want to accomplish. We'll see how far it gets me.

Last TdV I missed day 1 and it ended up costing me, so I made sure to be there from day uno this time

First time getting the veteran banner, I like it.

Fingers crossed that traffic goes up a bit as January progresses.

Heads up for those competing. I reopened around 100 threads that I think might be good for conversation.

After opening all of those threads, you have 110 actions for the Green Jersey... and 7.5 CP for the Red Jersey lol. Funny how that works.

Furret starts out with the lead.

It's been years since I last held rainbow, I'm glad to be back. Of course Pokemon x hasn't made it easy by getting a ridiculous 110 actions like it is nothing. I've spent a long time already trying to catch up to him.

Joining day 1 really is important. I'd have been over 20 points behind if I hadn't.

Can I forfeit or give my veteran banner progression to Pokemon X?

After I finish typing this, I'm dropping out and will no longer be participating in the winter tour de vizzed effective immediately.


This is for 2 key reasons.

The first reason is: my work schedule resumes this Monday, and I always run from 2pm to 11pm. This slashes a lot of my free time except for maybe Saturday or Sunday, and I've already arrived at the decision that I will not opt to spend my remaining free days watching the forums like a hawk.

People like Pokémon X and your site staff, they'll still be here helping you keep this juggernaut afloat in their spare time, and I think that alone is worth him getting the veteran banner over me.

The second reason is: Forum traffic.
I'll admit it, that I let myself slip on day one. That's on me.

On day 2? It already clicked in my head how competing with furret was gonna feel like a job. That's largely due in part to slow forum traffic. I'm not posting freely getting fire under my username anymore, I'm scrambling. I'm scrambling for any thread that I haven't yet posted in... Even having a discussion with the mods inside the discord server over the hefty amount of closed ones and they got those reopened. Thanks to the mods for that, y'all are champs.

There's even threads that have a post once per day limit which feels counter intuitive. The blue jersey is all about raising the post count and it felt like I kept running into walls or watching the site like a hawk so I could either tie or overtake furret, and it wouldn't be by much either.


I know a lot of this is beyond everyone's control and simply the state of things as they are but I felt the need to explain why I'll be out.

As I finally got the closure that vizzed isn't gonna be on my priority list anytime soon and it saddens me.


I really wish things could be back like they were in 2012/13, but it's as the saying goes.... Nothing lasts forever..



And to you Davideo7, the mods, all my past friends tbst have long since done their swan song, the only thing I have to say is thank you all....for everything, for even still continuing to keep this wonderful place of how Internet communities used to and should always be up....it's incredible.



This isn't me saying goodbye, it's me dropping out of the TDV, it's me venting and reminiscing, and it's also me thanking you all for everything you do to keep vizzed up.


I'll probably still be around in the discord channel to talk to, but I don't know when I'll login in here or actively post again.

Maybe during summer shutdown or some days on the weekends. I'll still be here.

But I do mean what I've asked in granting Pokemon X the lead for the veteran banner.

I was thinking of competing but saw you had already started strong.... figured I wouldn't likely have a chance to keep up. Now that you're saying you're not sticking with it gives me a chance to maybe get the veteran banner. I've never won it and I would be pretty stoked if I could manage it.

I get that I'm not that far behind in reality but with how these can go a bad start is really tough to come back from.


I don't expect to beat Furret or anything. I don't have the time to do that either with work and kids and what not but it would be fun to get closer to 30,000 and maybe win the grey banner just once.

I'm also glad geeo is gunning for that Veteran Banner. I would have felt bad if I was the only one competing, now there's some more variety.

I'm closing in on 400 total jerseys, and with that closing in on scoring at least 100 of each. Exciting stuff for me in the Hall of Fame

Missed all the start of the year, logged in to see what I missed and... Looks like everything is the same as usual xD

I originally had plans for this month, but real life issues have kept me away from here and when I get back to my work schedule I'll have very few free time available. Still, I'll try to dedicate as much time as I can to this site for personal reasons.

Haven't looked the HoF to see if there's anything I could pursue there, but I won't be pushing harder for that due to having my own agenda. And I also won't push harder for jerseys or overall placings, I've learned the lesson from pushing too hard and now that my goals are beyond TdV I have even less of a reason to do it.
