What happened in 2025 on Vizzed? Not a lot but more than 2024. We saw the return of some veteran users, which was exciting. We also saw the return of the Spring and Autumn Tour de Vizzed. I fixed various issues throughout the site, including the YouTube Video Uploading and the issue with Threads and Posts Failing to Submit.

Mid 2025, I had to downgrade the server due to expenses. I was able to cut down expenses from $600 a month to $300 a month. This resulted into us having to lose most of the CD games in the Retro Game Room, but the new server still had enough space to keep the top 10% best games for each CD system. The new server surprisingly turned out to be much faster than the previous since the technology on the new server is far superior.

So what are my plans for 2026? Well I recently dumped Vizzed to a Github repository and set it as private. This allows me to work on the site not only with version control but also with AI assistance, which means I can find issues quicker and also add features quicker. For 2026 I also plan to develop a couple of games for the site that utilize the site's features, 1 of them which I did announce already. I'm behind schedule on it but I did announce a Vizzed Rhythm game for the Video Game Music Room which is behind schedule but I do plan to have it released in beta form maybe before the year ends.

as for a few things David mentioned I've won outright or tied for nicest 6 years in a row but have now tied or outright won meanest 3 years in a row very confusing to me as well. I think Furret is mature but can also be crazy but I do see how it's paradoxical

I was absolutely not expecting to get member of the year. Real life takes an awfully big chunk of time from me, so to see that my humble contributions get these rewards and honors is as flattening as undescribable. I didn't need further motivation to stay active, yet you gave me a major boost in that.

I miss the times were the roundtable of guiderteers battled it out for the guide maker award. At least I'm glad I'm able to keep the banner quite high for them so if they ever come back they can feel proud of what remains of our former alliance. I will definitely keep delivering new content in 2026, because of the new motivation I mentioned above and because of newfound power thanks to my new computer xD

I'd be all in for a return of any of thise inactive members, even if it's just a single post stating the outside world is treating them well. Though if leggy comes back the competition for best female member will end (I wonder if anyone will understand this veteran joke).

Furret : I'm galaxies away from tRIUNE, even if we exclude the comparison between site activity back then and now. He did much more than I ever will, basically because he's partially responsible of driving many of us here through his contributions to expand the RGR.

geeogree : The Christmas layout is the most nostalgic time for the site because that theme hasn't ever changed unlike the rest of the site. The site's layout is different with the Christmas theme compared to years ago but the theme and colors are still the same. Add that to the fact that the site's anniversary is in December, I'd say December is the most nostalgic time of year for the site, easily.

I've been tempted to come back and reprise my staff roles but reminded every time that i don't actually have the time to put in the work.
I've enjoyed my two years of fame, now im a ghost again.

Davideo7 : yeah. I find myself returning during December for the layout. It is so nostalgic for me.

And the site anniversary is very close to my anniversary on the site. I can't believe it's been 21 years. I got married about 2 months before I joined here which is how I remember how long this version of the site has existed.
