Here's some brief TdV info:

Each day there will be 4 Jerseys you can compete for:
Yellow Jersey: Most words in a day
Blue Jersey: Most posts in a day
Red Jersey: Most CP in a day
Green Jersey: Most CP actions in a day

If you get 1st place in a Jersey for a day, you get to "wear" that Jersey the following day. To "wear" it means that the background of your username will have a unique background graphic. Only the top 5 places of each Jersey gets points, 1st gets 5 and 5th gets 1. Whoever has the most points for any Jersey at the end of the competition gets to wear that Jersey for the entire next month. If you have more than 1 jersey, your jersey receives stripes for each jersey color you own.

Along with the Jerseys are Banners that change your username color. They basically represent who has the most points total:
Rainbow Banner: Whoever has the most points so far in the competition
White Banner: New member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who has signed up in the past 3 months)
Gray Banner: Veteran member who has the most points so far in the competition (anyone who signed up more than 7 years ago)

Tour de Vizzed Rules:

You'll be DQ'd if:
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in one of the following forums: Crazy House, Vizzed Market, Polls and Questions, Video Game Craziness, Newbie Forum (unless posts are made in your own thread then it's 50%)
-You copy content from other websites or other posts
-You use the "tabbing" technique to make a bunch of posts in a short amount of time
-You're caught cheating or unfairly earning Contribution Points
-You're found to be reviewing games that you have not finished
-You post twice in a row on a thread (Blog threads are an exception)
-Your posts are found to be below site standard to unfairly gain points or are completely off topic
-More than 25% of your daily posts are made in the same thread (your own thread and staff threads are an exception)
-If 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day
-Staff members are not allowed to feature their own reviews during the Tour de Vizzed

Reminder: Be sure to PM the RGR Staff if you want a game page added to the site that the site currently doesn't have.

Additionally:
If you get DQ'd just once from a Jersey, you can no longer get points for that Jersey for the rest of the month. We will be very strict from now on with the Tour de Vizzed. Only CP actions which you earned CP off of count toward the Green Jersey.

If you get DQ'd from too many Jerseys in too many TdV competitions, you'll be DQ'd from the TdV forever. Also, if you get DQ'd from a single Jersey in too many competitions, you'll be DQ'd from that specific Jersey forever.

Also, if 50% or more of your daily words are posted in the final hour of the day, you'll be DQ'd from the Yellow Jersey. Too many users have waited until the end of the day to submit a bunch of reviews to the site and that's unfair to users competing

Additional Tour de Vizzed Info:

Some CP actions only count as 1 per day. In other words, any action in the below list can only increase your Green Jersey points by 1:
Forum Navigation, Review Rated, User Referral Posted, Video Rated, Post Spell Checked, Visiting Vizzed, Screenshot Rated, Post, Game Commenting, Thread, Thread Reply, Chat Room Minute, Staff Forum Post, Staff Forum Thread and Screenshot Details Added.

These CP actions do not count toward the Green Jersey: Game Content.

Also the following types of threads have been restricted 1 post per day.
This Thread, ABC, Elimination, and Hangman style threads. Currently ask me anythings not restricted unless abused.

Each day there will be a specific CP action which will be worth doubled the points which benefits the Red Jersey competition. Below is a list of which actions are worth doubled on which days this month:

The first October Tour in years when I was young this is the one I always wanted to win so I'm tempted and I have the most free time I've had probably since the last I won so we'll see how this goes I doubt I'll win but we'll see.

Finally time for me to spam every day and not get a DQ. I have so many reviews backed up and ready to go and beat the competition and pre-written posts and threads so I can have an advantage over everyone.

All that is me mocking other competitors. See how this fares all month and hope a healthy clean competition

I was just thinking yesterday, "I wonder if we are doing the fall TdV this year"

Tuns out we are. That is pretty exciting. I am pretty busy these days, its that time of year, but I would love to participate a bit and converse with the community again.

I have to work 36 hours a week and write between 5 and 10 articles per week on top of that, so I doubt that I'll be able to do anything major, but as long as there's actually people posting again and making topics, I'll do what I can.

Great to see this is happening. If only work will allow me to have free time, that'd be great.

No big goals, might try to win an overall jersey, thinking about red, but I don't have the mental to do this all October lol

I've probably started with the lead the most of anyone at this point but it's only a start seeing as I keep not even finishing top 3 as of late so I've gotta keep up my game if I want to win this time, on another note I broke 4000 points yesterday which makes me the 3rd user to do so.

SonicOlmstead starts out with the lead.

Yeah, no this was out of nowhere and caught me by surprise, but maybe now I can have a little bit of motivation to do some things before I'm ready to compete again

I think Sonic being the only one to even know it was happening day 1 has made it really hard for someone to catch up to him if they haven't started yet.

Last TdV I basically focused on scoring high in everything when I came into the picture and it was tiring. I'm going to be much more tunnel visioned this TdV.

Even though David called the Spring TdV a surprise which it definitely was I felt strongly ever since that there would be a tdv this month that said till David posted in discord about it I forgot it was the 1st of October but I definitely was able to make the most out of it!

Third place isn’t too bad. Thought there would be more competition but alas…. Once users heard Becky is competing they dropped out of fear of losing against the best user who… say it with me…. Always great to see a new user join in this early into the month! Been enjoying tdv thus far hard to believe it's already been 3 days.

Just got back from Maine. We'll see if I am able to find a few days this month to compete. I would like to, but I'm not sure that I will have the time.

Good to see a white banner holder! Got passed by Dauntez and Sonic as I was sleeping in a couple jerseys, happens I guess. Might make it more annoying for them to pass me lol

I'm very close to passing zander for having the second most jerseys, only like 20 behind Sonic. I have like close to a thousand less total points than both though so I'm happy being up there.

One of my long term goals is to be the first to hit 100 of every jersey. I'm already there for Red, and I'm in the 70s for the other three. Everyone else seems to have a jersey they struggle with (red for Sonic, green for zander).

How the hell did I get 5 points when I've basically just popped by twice? Don't spark my hopes of aiming for big things because I can rack up points with relative ease!

In all seriousness, numbers look very low for the first days. True is that we haven't yet had a single weekend of competition, but I expected to see something higher because it's very hard not to score anything now. However, that also means we could have a close competition since no one has a clear advantage in any jersey which also puts seven pointers out of reach, and that would be very interesting after such commanding wins we've seen as of late.

I'll be loaded with work starting tomorrow, so maybe I'll drop some activity today and wait until I get more free time. Maybe I'll focus on writing something, I've discovered it helps me detach from reality and relax yet it doesn't get me glued like playing videogames does so it's a much better choice.
