What is your favorite video game music track that you have heard? Honestly, a lot of my favorite music comes from the Final Fantasy series, but this certain song from Final Fantasy VIII takes the cake for my favorite video game track:

The final boss theme of Final Fantasy VIII. This song, holy crap. It starts out with creepy sounds, transitions into a calming, yet sorrowful tune with acoustic guitar, harps, and piano. Then, when you least expect it, it kicks up a notch, with fast paced battle music. Simply amazing. 

One song I tend to keep returning to (and cry a lot with) is "Everything's Alright" from "To the Moon". It has such a great message and its simple melody is music to my ears.

I love anything from Persona and Pokemon

My top 2 favorites are battle theme from Persona 4 and Reds theme from Pokemon.

Lexatom : Perfect Dark.  'Nuff said.

The entire Persona 5 soundtrack... the entire NieR:Automata soundtrack... too many choices.

I'll pick something from neither of those games to make it a little harder for myself.

Rage Awakened from KH2.5 would be my choice if I had to bar P5 and NieR.

I have a thousand and one favorite video game songs, but I'll share one that I think is underrated and most haven't heard, and it's excellent. It's from Mario Paint, a game that I haven't even played before. It's called "So Kawaii!":

It sorta sounds like a Warioware song. It just has that vibe to it.

Recently, I got Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Battle for the switch, which has a fantastic soundtrack. The whole game has wonderfully orchestrated parts and a fantastic base line.

My favorite song is Midboss Mayhem, which is incredible for all of the parts blended so well together. It’s also intense, high paced, and gives the battles a much more frantic feel.

I don't think I have a specific favorite track nowadays, if I did have to pick something it would likely be from one of the Kingdom Hearts games, they have always had an excellent soundtrack. I also like the old Pokemon and Sonic game soundtracks for nostalgic reasons.

Recently though I've been playing some Jet Set Radio on the Vita and I have to say the soundtrack is really stellar. It also feels pretty unique even today which is impressive considering the game came out several console generations ago on the Dreamcast.

I don't think I could really pin it down to a single track or even a hand full of tracks, but there are several tunes from the games Chrono Trigger, Xenoblade Chronicles, and Octopath Traveler that are amazing. Those three games in particular have pretty consistently great scores that perfectly convey the mood and atmosphere of a scene or area, and are otherwise just beautiful in their own right even out of context. Other mentions would be the opening for Resident Evil: Outbreak/File #2 and anything else in an orchestral style, really.

I don't even know where to begin because there is so much good video game music out there, but here are a few games and game series that I think have amazing soundtracks:

1. Chrono Trigger - Mitsuda and Uematsu are just amazing composers
2. Final Fantasy - There's honestly just so many great soundtracks in Final Fantasy, but among the games I've played I think 6, 8, and 10 stand out the most for me.

3. Octopath Traveler

4. Persona 5 - Regrettably, I haven't played the game yet, but the soundtracks I've heard have been amazing. Life Wil Change and River and the Desert are both really good.

5. Pokemon - Too many good soundtracks and themes to name, but gen 4 has some really great ones that are my personal favorites.

6. Sonic - Even if the games aren't always good, I've found most Sonic music to be consistently good and unafraid to change with the times. Some of my favorites include Green Hill Zone, Chemical Plant Zone, and Studiopolis Zone from Sonic Mania.

Has to be Ace Attorney. I'm not picking a single game because every one of them has music I'd put in the top tier of top tiers.

I've gone on 2 hour discord arguments whenever someone tries to tell me it's not that good and __ is better. No, no you're wrong. I'm very passionate when it comes to the ace attorney franchise and will defend it until the bitter end.

I've been living the music from Stardew Valley lately. I've put so many hours into the game over the last month that the music was inscribed in my brain. The music is very calm and kind of memorable, like Most of the Minecraft music.

Lately, most anything composed by Hitoshi Sakimoto does it for me. Vagrant Story is a rather unique note for him, in a great way.

My favorite video game music is definitely from the Persona series, and I'm being reminded of why in Persona 5: The Royal.

The new main opening is incredible, and the older themes are still wicked fresh, even all these years later.

Still all these years later i still love the Final Fantasy 7 soundtrack. Heck my favourite song from it was a song that i didn't even think that much of when i first played the game.

If we're talking just best overall though... At this point in time it has to be Final Fantasy 14, A lot of the songs are just amazing especially the primal boss songs and better still a lot of them have their own feel and sound/genre so it makes it even more epic honestly. -

I recently watched a playthrough of Super Mario RPG: Legend of the Seven Stars on YouTube. I love so much of the music in that game! My favorite song is likely the theme that plays in the castle at the end of the game. It fits well for it being the final area.

my video games is from 10 games total 3 are on xbox 360 are deadpool, ff13, and Defiance. next 4 games from playstation 1 is the legend of dragoon, ff7, ff8 and ff9. ps 2 is was 2 is kingdom hearts 1 and 2, switch is 1 games super smash bros ultimate.

My favorite video game music by far is the Super Mario Galaxy soundtrack. The instrumentation is amazing, and each theme fits so well with the levels. That game has music for every mood in my opinion. I can feel the intensity of the final Bowser theme when I think of it or hear it. It's a soundtrack that pulls at my emotions sometimes and makes the game that much more mind-blowing!
