On Friday from 5 - 8 PM (central time zone) we'll all be listening to and rating the songs submitted to the GBA Game Music Competition. Half way through every song I'll put up a poll which will allow everyone to vote. I will be hosting this event on my Twitch channel and I'll be giving away a total of $50 and 100,000 Viz to random viewers of the stream so the longer you stick around and vote, the better your chances of walking away with a cash prize. To qualify for the cash and Viz prizes, all you have to do is vote on the music and follow my channel.

The Vizzed.co server ran out of disk space which resulted into everyone losing the MViz on the Vizzed Minecraft server. Thankfully I have a backup from December 8th but a lot of users have earned a lot of MViz since then. If your one of the users who have less MViz than you did before, let us know in the below thread and we'll make sure to get you your MViz back.

Screenshot Uploading to Modern Games
You can now upload screenshots to games in the Video Game Room that don't exist in the Retro Game Room (in other words, modern games or games that the RGR Plugin don't support). This is a feature I'm excited about and I'm happy to finally reveal it, I don't think I told anyone about it before or while I was working on it.

For more information, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=83326

Earn more Viz and CP from submitting Screenshots
You can now earn more Viz and CP from submitting screenshots and from adding details to those screenshots. Before you only earned 0.2 CP and 20 Viz per a screenshot you submitted to the site which was incredibly low in my opinion (you would've had to submit 50 screenshots to earn 10 CP and 10 CP is suppose to be the equivalent of 1 hour worth of work), especially since users invest a good amount of time finding good screenshot opportunities. The amount of CP and Viz you can earn now is based on how many screenshots you've submitted to the same game and how many details you added to the screenshot.

This is an "Official" Vizzed tournament. As some of you know, I plan to hold 4 a year.
Unlike the last Vizzed Tournament (which will be headed to the final round next week), this tournament will be all elimination rounds, well double elimination to be exact. In other words, lose 2 games and you're out of the tournament.

Everyone starts out in the "winners" bracket and if you lose, you go on to the "losers" bracket and if you lose in the losers bracket, you're out of the tournament. At the very end, the winner of the winners bracket and the winner of the losers bracket play each other but the winner of the losers bracket has to beat the winner of the winners bracket twice (this makes it fair to the user who went undefeated for going undefeated).

Since this is a double elimination tournament, there is no way for me to know how long it'll last since the amount of people who sign up determines how long it'll last but if I were to take a guess, I'd say around 6 weeks. I will allow any number of users to join but we will need an even number. Bye weeks may be handed out to users who do very well if needed in order to balance out the structuring of the brackets.

We'll be playing various multiplayer games for the Nintendo NES. Some of those games include Balloon Fight, Clu Clu Land, Donkey Kong, Donkey Kong Jr., Donkey Kong 3, Dr. Mario, Ice Climber, Mario Bros., Pinball, Urban Champion, Wario's Woods, Wrecking Crew, and more. If you want to recommend additional games for this tournament, do so here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=83253

I held a similar tournament last year at this time. That tournament involved the multiplayer games from NES Remix (Wii-U) and overall it was a very fun and successful tournament with tons of participation (96 users). If you want to get an idea of how this tournament will work, you can view Week 1 of that tournament here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=71377

Requirements:
-You must live in the United States (unless you have had very little lag problems playing netplay with USA users)
-The RGR Plugin must work fine on your computer
-If you're on the ban list, you cannot enter. To see who is on the ban list, go here:
https://www.vizzed.com/boards/thread.php?id=60334

Prizes:
1st = US $100 or 150,000 Viz
2nd = US $50 or 75,000 Viz
3rd = US $25 or 37,500 Viz
4th = 20,000 Viz
5th = 10,000 Viz

Entry Fee: None
(since this is an elimination type tournament, I see no reason for an entry fee)

Penalty:
If you fail to play 2 or more of your matches, you'll be added to the netplay ban list which means you wont be able to participate in a netplay tournament for at least a year. You'll also have 10,000 Viz deducted from your account.

Signup ends and Tournament begins on Monday, January 12th (or once we get 128 users).

If you want to enter, respond to this thread:

I wanted to wish everyone a Merry Christmas. It's not quite Christmas yet but I always like to make sure everyone in all time zones get it before Christmas Eve.

7 Days of Vizzed Christmas
You'll all be rewarded a nice Christmas gift when you come to the site on Christmas (server time). Additionally, you'll be rewarded a random amount of Viz for each day that you come to vizzed from the 25th until the end of the year, the 'Vizzed 7 Days of Christmas'.

Christmas Games in the Retro Game Room
The Retro Game Room has 64 Christmas games, 14 of them added in the past year. You can find them all here:
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/index.php?sort=best&search=Christmas&searchBy=theme

Earn an easy 1000 Viz
A few years ago I put together a video highlighting 12 Christmas games (non hacked):

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rcbh8UIMMj8
I'll give you 1000 Viz for liking and commenting on the above YouTube video. Let me know in the below thread once you've done this.

Tell your friends about the site and earn lots of Viz
From now until the end of the year, if you refer 10 people to the site, I'll give you 20,000 Viz on top of the 5000+ Viz that you'll automatically get for referring them. In other words, you'll earn 25,000+ Viz for referring 10 of your friends to the site. There's a ton of kids on Christmas break, a lot of them may be looking for something to do, why not introduce them to Vizzed? Once you've referred the users (and they've registered), let me know in the below thread.

Christmas Streams
There's going to be a few users doing live streams of Christmas games over the next few days, including myself. You can find a list of Twitch Streamers on Vizzed here:
https://www.vizzed.com/playonlinegames/netplaysessions.php

Also be sure to follow the streamers you like.

Holy Bible on Vizzed
You can now read the entire King James Version of the Bible on Vizzed! This is a project I've been working on for my other site http://www.mybiblegames.com/ on and off for about a week or so now so think of this as an expansion of that site on Vizzed rather than an expansion of Vizzed. Vizzed is a Christian friendly site but not a Christian site, I respect the atheists of this site enough to not take vizzed in that direction but it definitely doesn't hurt the site to merge a little with MyBibleGames.

You can find more information here:

This month's RGR Competitions are about half way over so there's still plenty of time to compete. Most of these competitions have had very little competition so if you have a few hours to spare and are in need of some cash, you might as well compete in whichever one of these you think you'd have the best chance at placing. Keep in mind that you don't have to take first place in these competitions to earn cash, there are cash prizes for the other places as well.

The Vizzed Minecraft Server has been fixed and has been updated to the latest version of Minecraft! You no longer have to use an older version of Minecraft to use our Minecraft server, you can use it with the latest version. The server now uses Spigot which should also make the server run better.

I've updated a bunch of the plugins on the server and I've also added a new plugin which shows some of your minecraft related stats right on your profile (and more stats to come). When you log into the server for the first time since this feature was added, a new table will appear on your profile and that'll begin keeping track of your stats. Everyone's play time will start at 0 since I wasn't tracking play time before and have no way of knowing what everyone's play time was previously.

Anyone can join our server! The IP Address is: Vizzed.co
But before you join, please read this thread first:

As of Today, 12-06-14, the current Vizzed Board is 10 years old!

This year I’ve continued expanding the Video Game Room by adding profile pages for video game characters, putting up a vizzed minecraft server and also by adding video game accessories (such as systems and controllers) to the VGR. I’ve also added game pages for many new games and systems. I haven’t forgotten about the Retro Game Room though because that has also received a ton of new features including a game streaming page, more features to netplay and game searching and many more games and systems. Over 10,000 games added to the RGR which is probably the most that has ever been added to the RGR in a single year.

You can find the awards and additional anniversary information here:
