I've never really liked Linoone much to be honest, the only decent stat it has is its base 100 speed which is borderline average in this fast paced metagame. It is also a plain normal type which gives it little to no coverage for move sets. Its abilities are also fairly useless as well, the only decent being quick feet which can help boost its mediocre speed.

Even for normal types, there are far better options out there, Linoone is just too frail and lacks the essential coverage it needs as a normal type (not that it would make its lousy stats). Altogether I rate it a 2/10. Normal types aren't that great, and Linoone is no exception to that.

Next pokemon to rate is Regice.

I'd definitely have to say that Regice would have to be the best of the 4 regis for battling. It's got really good defense, great special defense and good special attack. The fact that it's an ice type makes it even more appealing than Regirock, which is a rock type. It's able to do more damage than Registeel, and it doesn't have an awful ability like Regigigas has. Overall, Regice is not only the best Regi, it's also one of the best ice type pokemon in existence. Overall, Regice deserves a 9 from me. There are some better pokemon out there, including fellow ice type Mamoswine (who's also part ground).

The next pokemon to rate is Regigigas.

I already talked about this Pokemon but I think that was in the hate on the next Pokemon thread so I think it still counts, I'll try to be slightly less hateful this time.

Anyways Regigigas stat wise is really good even for a legendary Pokemon and move wise has decent enough coverage. If I just went based on that it would probably get a 9 out of 10 but the big flaw that makes Regigigas perhaps even the worst out of all legendary Pokemon is the ability Slow Start.

This is the worst ability in the game even rivaling truant, essentially what it does is cuts regigias massive 160 base attack in half to 80 and it's decent 100 speed to a slow 50 for the first five turns it's sent out. This more or less makes it crap offensively by legendary standards for 5 turns and while it has decent defensive stats, it's slowness and that it's not that bulky means it's not really enough to make up for it.

This means that competetively and even ingame you'll barely ever get to use it's full potential since the battle will most likely end well before 5 turns have passed (which it has to be sent out during) meaning those stats are essentially useless.

This more or less cuts it down to a 7/10 at best. In it's nerfed form it has a worse base stat total than pretty much any of the lesser and even psuedo legendaries and it doesn't really have anything move wise to make up for it. To sum it up this Pokemon is basically a big waste of potential unfortunately, at least slaking can be used strategically to somewhat bypass it's ability and it is a lot easier to obtain. Supposedly being one of the major legendaries in the game Regigigas doesn't have much going for it.

Anyways, next Pokemon to rate will be Phione.

Wow, Phione is by far the worst Legendary pokemon in the history of the pokemon series. There are many different reasons why this pokemon is so awful. The first big reason is because of it's horrendous stats. Every single stat that Phione has is 80. Fun Fact: That's actually the same stats that Glalie has. A legendary with the stats of a Glalie is one of the biggest mistakes that GameFreak has ever had. To make matters worse, that pokemon has a terrible move pool. A vast majority of the moves it can learn are water type moves. Aside from that, it can learn a few ice moves, and 1 or 2 moves from several other types. For a legendary, this is pathetic. The biggest reason why I feel like Phione is the worst legendary is because there's no way for it to evolve into the pokemon it was bred from: Manaphy. So a Manaphy lays an egg, it turns into a Phione, and it can't even evolve into Manaphy? Not only does this not make any sense, but it makes Phione even more useless than it already is. When compared to other legendaries, Phione is the worst of the bunch. When compared to most other pokemon, Phione still doesn't compare for the most part. Phione is one of the worst pokemon in the series. Without bias, Phione deserves a 1 out of 10!

The next pokemon to rate is Yanmega.

Yanmega is a fairly decent bug type Pokemon, if a bit hard to obtain in many games. It's physical defense is pretty shoddy but it has pretty nice special attack and decent speed making for a decent special offensive Pokemon.

It doesn't have access to that many moves but those it does are interesting, it can learn Psychic unlike a lot of other bug type Pokemon and it's able to learn both air slash and bug buzz for stab offensive moves. It also has access to speed boost which is a great ability granted it may not be as useful for Yanmega considering how it's a bit on the frailer side.

That's mostly it's problem unfortunately, since defensively bug flying isn't the best typing and having a 4x weakness to Rock and at the same having low physical defenses pretty much guarantees losing to any rock type Pokemon or Pokemon with rock type moves for that matter.

It's not really the best Pokemon but if just using it ingame it's fine provided you can get one, competetively there are definietly better options though.

In the end I'd probably give it a 6/10, it's decent but nothing that special.

Next Pokemon to rate will be Magmortar.

Magmortar is definitely not one of the best fire type pokemon out there. It has a base defense stat of 67, which is absolutely pathetic, mediocre HP, and not that good of speed. Fortunately though, it has good attack and great special attack. In gen 4 alone though, there are definitely better fire types out there, such as Infernape. It has a mediocre moveset. There's a lot of fire type moves it can learn, but there isn't much of anything else it can learn unfortunately. As far as it's design goes, It's one of the most visually appealing fire type pokemon of all time. I absolutely love how it has a cannon arm that can shoot out fireballs. That's probably the best part about Magmortar. Overall though, it's definitely not one of the best fire type pokemon out there. I'm giving Magmortar a 5 out of 10.'

The next pokemon to rate is Jynx.

Rotom is definitely one of the most unique pokemon in existance. It has 6 different forms that each have a different secondary type.

Rotom's normal form has one is an electric ghost type, and it has very mediocre stats. It has poor attack and hp, not that great of defense and special defense, and decent special attack and speed. Overall, this form is not one you should use on your team. You're better off with one of it's alternate forms.

The first alternate form, Frost Rotom, as you'd expect, is part electric, part ice. It has a move that it can only learn in this form, blizzard. It's stats are better than it's normal form. It has high defense, special attack and special defense, slightly less speed than it's normal form, and low attack and hp. The defenses alone make this pokemon definitely worth using, or you could go with one of it's alternate forms, which have the same stats as Frost Rotom.

Heat Rotom is part electric part fire and it can learn overheat. Mow Rotom is part electric part grass. I would not recommend this one because of that part grass typing, which is terrible, though it can learn Leaf Storm. Fan Rotom is part electric and flying. This combo is one of the better ones for Rotom. It can learn Air Slash. Finally there's my personal favorite, Wash Rotom. This form is part electric part water and it can learn Hydro Pump. Overall, I'd say this is Rotom's best form because of it's type.

Overall Rotom's a pretty unique pokemon. I'm giving it an 8.

The next pokemon to rate is Stantler.

I do like Zebstrika. I use it a lot on my journeys. Decent stats, looks great. Only disadvantage is it's only one type. 8/10.

Next to rate is Garbodor from Generation 5!

It's so sad that Garbodor and it's pre-evolved form Trubbish were the only pure poison types added to the pokedex in Gen 5. Why do I say this? Well, that's because Garbodor has some poor stats, even for a poison type. It's special attack is very poor, it's defenses are mediocre, with only a base stat of 82 in both defense and special defense. It also has kinda low speed, with a base of 75. It has ok attack with a base of 95, and ok hp with a base of 80. These stats make for a very mediocre pokemon. Other than it's stats, it also has a very poor moveset, though it can learn some decent TM's. It's abilities also leave me with a bad impression of this pokemon. Overall, Garbodor is definitely not one of the better poison types out there, in fact, I'd say it's one of the worst in existance. If you're playing Pokemon Black or White, I'd say avoid the poison type at all costs. Overall, Garbodor gets a 3 out of 10 from me since there are worse pokemon out there, but as far as poison types go, I'd probably say it's the worst one.

The next pokemon to rate is Camerupt.

I've gotta say, I've never been a fan of Camerupt, both in design and his usage. He's slow, doesn't have the defenses to survive for very long, and his attack stats aren't rewarding enough for me to say his stats make him worth a slot on a team. Only ground and water are super effective, but both are common types, and a water move, doing x4 damage, will surely take him out. He does have some good moves, and can be good in some situations, but I just am not a fan. 4/10.

Next Pokémon to rate is Red Squidward Octillery.

Oh boy, this should be fun! Octillery can learn the most diverse amount of moves I've seen from a water type pokemon. It can learn water, ice dark, fire, electric, poison, psychic, normal, bug and even a grass type move: bullet seed. This diverse moveset makes Octillery a very intriguing pokemon, however, it's stats aren't that great, especially not it's speed, which has a base stat of 45. It's defenses aren't very good either, with a base of 75 in both regular and special defense, as well as hp. It's offense is pretty good though, with both regular and special attack having base stats of 105, which is pretty good. Overall, Octillery has can learn a wide variety of moves, but it's lack of speed and lackluster defenses make it unlikely you'll even get to take advantage of those moves. Overall, I give Octillery a 4 out of 10.

The next pokemon to rate is Primeape.

Primeape is fairly good. Beyond 100 attack and nearly 100 speed make it a formidable powerhouse in the first steps of the game. Maybe more than 65 HP would be good, and specially more than 60 defense would come in handy. The major weakness would be its simple moveset, able to only learn Normal or Fighting attacks, with a few Dark here and there, so if you want to give it a varied moveset you have to rely on TMs. Overall, I would say 5/10, I feel generous right now.

The next Pokemon to rate is Forretress.

When you look at Forretress' type, you see a pokemon that only has one weakness, fire! But looking at it's stats, you'll see that Forretress is not one of the best bug types in the series. It has awful special defense and it's also extremely slow. A base stat of 60 in both special stats and a base 40 speed makes for an easy target for opponents with high special attack to destroy. The only good thing about this pokemon besides it's type is it's Defense, which is has a base of 140. Other than that, Forretress isn't worth your time or anyone elses for that matter. Overall, Forretress is deserving of a 4.

The next pokemon to rate is Fearow.

For the early game, Geodude can be a great Pokémon. His defense stats are tank-like, even for other good fully evolved Pokémon, and his attack stat is great, too. And being rock type, he can hold off basically any Pokémon that is stuck with normal type moves. However, eventually, his bad speed can be attacked, and then his terrible special defense can be an easy target for something like a simple Water Gun that could take him out. But I like his design, and for a stage 1 Pokémon, throughout the Pokémon games, he can be a great teammate for the start of the game. 6/10.

Next Pokémon to rate is Marill.

Marill is different than it used to be. Before it used to be a pure water type, while now, it's water/fairy. This type change certainly makes Marill more unique than it used to be. However, this doesn't change the fact that it's not a very useful pokemon. It's attack and special attack stats are almost nonexistent, with a base of 20 each. It's speed isn't much better, with a base of 20, and both special and normal defense are 50 base. It's HP is the only decent stat this pokemon possesses, with a base of 70. It has a very nice moveset, however even it's most powerful attacks such as superpower and hydro pump, don't do much damage do to it's abysmal offensive stats. Overall, Marill is a decent tank for the beginning of your journey, but other than that, it's completely useless. I'm giving Marill a 2 out of 10 because of that.

The next pokemon to rate is Arbok.

I actually like Arbok. It can be bulky with intimidate and access to stockpile and coil. It gets a ton of coverage and semi-support moves like acid spray. I wouldn't say it's something I would use in OU but it can be quite useful in lower tiers.

Next up is one of the best special walls, milotic.

Arbok is a pretty pitiful pokemon in most aspects, all of its stats range in the average to below average range, and it doesn't have a lot of defense to take hits very well either. It has a decent amount of resistances as a pure poison type, however, its lousy movepool doesn't accommodate this. Looking at it from a competitive aspect, Arbok has low speed, low overall bulk, and a mediocre attack stat. There are a plenty of other poison types out there that far surpass Arbok in viability. The only thing I like about Arbok is its design and its shiny sprite. Despite this, I think Seviper looks much better as a snake pokemon. Altogether, I give Arbok a 3/10.

Next pokemon to rate is Hitmonchan.
