I already finished it on PC, both routes. There doesn't seem to be anything different in this version and I'm not interested at all. I thought this thing was dead, anyway. What's with the sudden revival?

Lexatom : There's 3 routes actually. Pacifist, Neutral, and Genocide. Either way, I'm interested even though I played it on PC, because of that sweet Collector's edition, with the locket.

I already played the PC version, but the collectors edition looks really neat. I want it. A lot. But since I have no money or PS4...

I am really stunned. I would have never saw this coming. From what I've heard, it's also getting a physical PC release as well.
I don't expect the game to cost much, considering it's $10 on steam, although the extras (manual, case) might cost a little extra.
I'm guessing the collectors edition will be 30 - 40 dollars.

But the question is... will one of my favorite PC games of all time hold up on the PS4?

I can't believe there's going to be a collector's edition of Undertale! I mean, I don't have PS4 or Vita but the Collector's Edition though!

zanderlex : IKR. I get paid $20 an article + the owner of the website just added a fanfiction category to the site. Considering I have a metric ton of SW fanfiction, I can say that this job is a good job.

I'm really excited about this, personally. If mostly just because my computer sucks and would never be able to DOWNLOAD Undertale, let alone play it, so this would actually be my first chance to ever play the thing. It's a bit late, I know, but I still wanna give playing the game itself a shot at least once. Or twice, considering the multiple routes.

I laughed really hard at this, it was pretty difficult for me to take Sony seriously after they just pulled that out right before their conference.

Lexatom : Games do it all the time. If a game is popular enough they'll make what profits they can off it and it's merchandise (if they have any). Once sales seem to be going down they'll come out with an anniversary/GOTY edition. Release that and boom, you;re on front page of steam and everyone's buying again. In Undertales case they're just porting it to a different console which will make them relevant again.

It's completely normal for dead games to do this. Case and point Skyrim. Bethesda's been milking that game for 6 years.

I originally waited quite a while for the possibility of a PS4 release (since it is my main gaming platform and preferred for anything that isn't online). It did not look like it would be ported so I caved in and eventually got the game on steam but as I'm expecting this won't be too expensive I will likely look into getting it on PS4 anyway. I'll be able to hunt for the trophies. I dislike the rabid fanbase and don't consider the game a masterpiece like some other people on the board, but it had some pretty interesting and unique ideas while managing to be nostalgic at the same time. It's a breath of fresh air compared to a lot of the AAA titles we've seen. The collector's edition doesn't really interest me though (they rarely do as their just another form of cash grab). I don't really see the appeal of the locket as the main drawing factor but a physical copy of the game would be cool to have and the story booklet is a neat little bonus.

no.... Please no... Ugh... We don't need another wave of Undertale fans... THAT IS THE LAST THING WE NEED.

I guess it's a neat thing, I personally haven't played it so perhaps this could be a way for me to get into it.

Though to be honest, it feels a tad bit unnecessary considering the fact that a toaster could run Undertale, but I hear that there's going to be a collectors edition so maybe that'll justify the re-release. 

There's only 3 weeks left now until these 2 versions are released (Aug 15) and I can't wait. I just hope that it's not too expensive and that there's a cartridge version for the Vita.
