I really don't know why Mario's so short in comparison to the other people, but it's a very minor thing. It looks like the next Mario Galaxy, and I'm very hopeful for it...it's just too bad that it's not a launch title for the system.

It might just be a hubworld honestly but it's a nice change of perspective from the general happy colorful worlds that you typically see in mario games, it feels a little less goofy and provides a nice atmosphere. Obviously it's not for everyone.

But hey, it fits in with Bowser's tasteful vaudeville act

After watching the trailer again I love Bowser's suit. He is not only a great dad as shown by the parental controls video that Nintendo just released but has great style. ( He looks like a pimp. Not sure ifthis would get me in trouble saying that but I'll take the punishment).

Lexatom : WOW so you guys gotta wait till like some months before Dec comes around again. I'm sure you will manage with the new games splatoon 2 looks really cool as well. Since I didn't have the 3DS I wouldn't know what games like new games would come in for switch. I've taken a liking to Has Been Heroes. I saw the gameplay amazing. I immediately put it on my wishlist on steam. XD

Seriously though, I HATED the idea originally because all I was was a screenshot of Mario in the city, but after seeing the trailer and everything else in the game, I think it looks pretty good. But the city... You just can't put cartoon characters in a semi-photorealistic environment with accurately depicted humans and make it work. IT DOESN'T WORK. That was one of the reasons I didn't like Sonic Adventure and I've never forced myself to watch Space Jam.

Other than that, looks great.

Not particularly fond of having Mario wandering around in a big city environment, it looks unnatural... Especially since the humans in the background are done in a realistic scale. A change in tone can be a good thing for a long running franchise but I simply don't think it fits with the Mario world and characters. I'm guessing that's mostly just used as a hub world though, other than that it looks like its going to have some great environments and levels regardless so I would assume one can look past it. Bowser does looks oddly fashionable in that costume. The games tend to be pretty consistent in their quality so I have no reason to expect that this will be too different in terms of having some great tight platforming and colorful and sprawling worlds.

Doubt I'll be getting it though as I don't know if I'll be able to spare the money for a Nintendo Switch, let alone if I'm even sure that I want one in the first place. I'll be sticking with my PS3 and PS4 for now. I think the only thing that could really entice me to save up for one up is if they announced a spiritual successor to Pokemon Colosseum/XD Gale of Darkness or at least rereleased them so I can play through them again (and that's probably never going to happen lol).
