The staff now have the ability to upload music to the Video Game Music Room again. Staff lost the ability to upload music when I transferred the songs to a new server. I got my scripts updated so that staff can upload songs to the new server.


Staff : Letting you all know of this. Keep in mind that you can only upload soundtracks to systems that I've added to the list of approved systems. Here's a list of systems that you can upload soundtracks for:
-Famicom Disk System
-Nintendo NES
-Sega Master System
-Super Nintendo
-Nintendo 64
-Sega Genesis
-Game Boy Advance
-Turbo Grafx
-Turbo Grafx CD
-Neo Geo

You can also upload songs for games that already have songs but have some that are missing. And for this month only, you can also upload songs for games that have scary music since that'll be useful for the current Scary Music competition (just be sure to upload the entire soundtrack for the game rather than just a few songs).

I can't upload game music. I'm trying to upload the soundtrack for the game Bloodborne, but everytime I try, I get this

Juliaisme123 : I was having the same problem when I was trying to upload several at once. I managed to get it to work, but I'm only uploading two at a time and adding them to the database in batches of ten. It's a little more of a hassle, but I hope that helps.

Juliaisme123 : Well, I read that there was a problem with adding too many songs to the database at once, so I'm just uploading songs two at a time until I have ten uploaded, then I add that to the DB and repeat.

Juliaisme123 : Just out of curiosity, are the files you're uploading bigger than 5 MB? Have you tried uploading any that are below that? I've been trying to upload a track for about 45 minutes, weighing in at just under 6 MB and I get the internal server error every single time, even uploading it by itself.

m0ssb3rg935 : I'm pretty sure all the Mp3s are more than 5 Megabytes, could be wrong.

That's great! Not sure if asking will be of any use to me since I don't pay attention to video game sound tracks but that could change.

Davideo7 : I know you said we could only upload soundtracks that weren't on the list for October because of the scary music competition, but there was a request for a DS soundtrack for this month's music competition. Are we permitted to upload soundtracks for modern games for the duration of this month, as well?
