I may try and put up some points for another day or two, but after ( or if lol ) I can manage to get 2nd for the total Rainbow, I'm done trying for 3 out of the 4 Jerseys. Nobody else has even attempted to compete for more than a few days, and unless Enii completely stops nobody has a chance of catching her. Eniitan : At this rate, you should go for the record of most points scored in a TdV. You'll have a much easier time of it than I did, running completely unopposed and all lol. How the hell did I make 3rd with just 60 actions? That's the least active Green jersey I've ever seen. Eni is slowly getting up to cox, so we might have a lead change in the following days. yushee seems back in action for today as well, but he's way behind the top two, so it's unlikely he'll get much higher unless they suddenly go MIA, which in Eni's case won't happen. Almost half of the month and still no participant in the white banner... Sadly, such is the trend of the last TdVs. True is that this one is open for almost everyone to score, so it's never too late to grab something. Still, it would be nice to see some more activity in that banner as well. Well, I was going to try to get green today, but then a bunch of stuff started coming up, put that together with my Tecmo match and waiting for the video I made of the match to upload to the vizzed youtube channel, and I wasn't able to put up as much of a fight as I hoped I would've. I find it much easier to go for blue, even with the global CP action advantage on my side. On the plus side, I managed to get a lot of CP today, though about half of it didn't count toward red due to a lot of it coming from staff actions. -------------------- |

This erratic attitude is what demotivates people, because someone who says to not be trying, be burnt out or not aiming to win one of the competitions (which means scoring points everyday) can't just be pulling out any trick he/she can to grab jerseys that would normally belong to other people if said someone was true to his/her words. Cox, I know you've mentioned your competitive spirit, but being bloodthirsty to win jerseys is not competitive. We were having a fun competition until you've started to exploit everything you can, and since you realized you can exploit all four jerseys because nobody tried, you destroyed the entire competition. This erratic attitude is what demotivates people, because someone who says to not be trying, be burnt out or not aiming to win one of the competitions (which means scoring points everyday) can't just be pulling out any trick he/she can to grab jerseys that would normally belong to other people if said someone was true to his/her words. Cox, I know you've mentioned your competitive spirit, but being bloodthirsty to win jerseys is not competitive. We were having a fun competition until you've started to exploit everything you can, and since you realized you can exploit all four jerseys because nobody tried, you destroyed the entire competition. -------------------- |

It's not really the only reason. Most of the site does not give two cents about the TdV and have no aims of winning, or even competing at that. Sure, someone as good as cox can be discouraging because it's borderline impossible to beat him, but why should cox be looked down upon for "being good"? Well, sure cox went back on his words or whatever, but this isn't a court case man. Just because he said something doesn't mean he has to stick to it. He didn't really make any promises to anyone that he would stop trying. If I'm really being honest, a big reason why people are turned off by the TdV is because people are so uptight and strict about things like what is being done in this thread. It's a competition on a WEBSITE that gets your username colored. No need to accuse people of being "bloodthirsty", this isn't the Hunger Games. Anyways, you say cox discourages people from competing, but I don't think you know how discouraging it must be for cox to see posts like these. Y'all are about to lose a member who contributes a heck of a lot to this site.

RDay13 : You're totally wrong. When people starts pulling out dirty tricks it simply kills the competition. It has happened in the past and happened to me personally not long ago, so I fully know what I'm talking about. Some people is willing to go to ANY LENGTHS to win even if it's just a single jersey at a specific moment of the competition. That goes against the spirit of a laidback competition like the TdV should be. Bad player attitudes is what gets people away from competing or even caring about the competition the most. I don't have a problem with him going back on his words, but I do have a problem that someone who has already won a competition is pulling off dirty tricks for a second win. That's bad player attitude at its best, even more coming from someone like cox who has nothing to demonstrate after his dominance in July. We're strict on what can be done so people can play on equal grounds. If someone starts pulling off dirty tricks or exploiting things others don't have access to then the competition is unbalanced and unfair for everyone competing. This unbalance is what gets most people away from competing actively as well, and the best example is on the Green jersey and the constant adjustments being made to it so non-staff users play equally to staff. Discouraging for cox? I just told the truth, nothing else. If he cannot accept it or realize the wrong he has done it's none of my business. I prefer to be criticized for speaking my mind rather than dressing up the truth with beautiful words, so deal with it. Why are we here talking about this? Because someone got carried away and took the TDV too far. Why is talking about it bad? Because it discourages others, particularly the ones who took the TDV too far. There's no way to fix this, you can only really do what helps the majority. And for that, we can't really be faulted. Nor can we really fault Cox for some of the stuff he's done, but well, something's gotta give and it wound up being that. If he really cared about the TDV, there's nothing saying he couldn't say "No, I will not stop." But what he did was, he stopped without even addressing anything. He doesn't need people to fight for him, he can explain himself if he wants. And since he doesn't want to, then there's nothing wrong with Palen calling him out, and there's nothing wrong with anything we're doing. Like you said, this isn't a courtroom. He doesn't need anyone else to confess or fight for him, it's his job and his alone. tl;dr he wasn't forced out, he wanted out.
