This is a quick announcement just to make sure everyone posting on the forums are aware. Starting as of now the limit on CP Milestone Threads will be stricter. Threads will be allowed at 10k, 50k and after that with every 50k incriment (100k, 150k, 200k and so on). In stead of every 5k which has been the rule up until now.

The reason for this is to make the progression closer to that of posting milestones. When the original limit was put into the place the CP system was still new so it was hard to gauge the time it would take to reach a new milestone resulting in it being made the way it was.

Any amount that doesn't fit into this progression should now be posted in the CP Brag Thread. Anyone failing to comply shall be eliminated. This will NOT affect anything made prior to the rule change.

Those days where we couldn't get more than 500 CP in a single guide no matter its length.... It's been nearly two years since the CP payouts were revamped for that and other similar actions, so there was no use to keep the old rules up, even more when in that span we've seen at least three users hitting +10k CP in a single month. The "checkpoints" surely needed to be more spaced out.

Be careful, newbies that make a thread for 1k CP, because Zlinqx is in a crusade to eliminate you all!

Honestly I don't like the idea of ever 50K because not that many people will even reach that alone. Its good that it went up, but I think 50K is asking for too much.

I feel your pain. I've been really shooting for 20 K by the end of the month, and I'm a little disappointed to hear this. I can't help but feel like I contributed to this by being one of the people Palen mentioned hitting 10 K + in single month...
