We have all been told at one point or another that we should respect our superiors. Respect is to be earned fairly and nobly. Honestly, we have to appreciate the wisdom of those who came before and those who know much more. Be it a parental figure, sibling, friend, or another, respect is meant to be bestowed on each other. Who do you respect and why? Have they influenced you as well? Thank you for reading this post. Who do you respect and why? Have they influenced you as well? Thank you for reading this post. |

Ultrajeff : I like to respect many people as I can since it shows good will, that you don't have any intentions of making any trouble with that person. But, when someone disrespect you for no reason or out of sheer trolling of course I wouldn't respect that person because of how rude it was. There will be people who we respect and like others who we don't because of how they disrespect people. Its kind of a yin, and yang kind of thing. As most people know respect is earned through what they do, and how they do things. |

I usually am respectful towards everyone. Whether or not they keep my respect, that's really up to how they treat me. Although I usually hold at least some respect towards everyone. |

Well, I respect my parents for one thing. First because as a Christian I feel like I'm supposed to respect them. My parents taught me right from wrong. My Mom lead me to the cross. So yeah, my parents I have very high respect for. I try to respect everyone in unless they give me a reason not too. I would say the people I don't respect are the crooked politicians. For me, that answer is easy: My grandmother. She grew up in hard times, constantly traveling from one side of the US to the other when her father would be looking for work, dealing with financial burdens most of her life, being cheated on and divorced by her husband and having to raise four kids on her own, and, on top of all that, taking care of me since I was four days old since my mother couldn't take care of me. Through all that, and then some, she has remained strong, and is always looking out for the people she loves and cares about. It's impossible not to respect someone like that, and I love her so much for everything she's done, not only for me, but for everyone else she's been a blessing to. |

People who I respect? Obviously my parents, I get along with them very well, but I also respect my close friends. People I consider to be my best friends. People that are there for me, and I am there for them. We have had are disagreements, and we have fought, but at the end of the day, things worked out. So I definitely have tons of respect for them. |

I have a few people I absolutely respect.
The first is my wife. This chick is driven by sheer will and the number of things she executes in a day are impressive. She doesn't stop for anything and she has only the goal or objective on deck in her gunsights. She's magnificent when it comes to crunch time and she's smart and aggressive and I love her single-minded drive. If the zombie hordes actually showed up, they'd accept her as their leader, even as a human, because she is more single-minded then they are. It's the true definition of 'awesome' to see her in action. She sets goals and smashes the h*ll out of them. The second is my boss, a guy named Harris. He's an immaculate professional, he plays no games and he leads by example. He has taught me more than any other leader and he gives me more than enough leash to explore my skills and win or lose on my own. If I make mistakes or lose, he doesn't attack me or go after me. He says, "What'd you learn?" and if I give a sufficient answer, it's done and over. I am lucky in that I haven't seen him mad because I execute my job well. I've learned my own leadership technique from him and I've cultivated it around his show and examples. He apologizes to no one unless he's actually messed up and he stands his ground. The last is a high level manager I work with who's smart as all get out and he's motivated to do the best all the time. He accepts nothing less than perfection from himself and he gives those around him some leeway. He doesn't tell them he wants the best but they try like heck to provide it for him. He's a master of development and he can turn almost any person into a machine at their job once he gets his hands on them. He's not a long-range strategy guy and he knows it. He does the minutiae of the business and he knows the details to the 1/10 of a penny. The first is my wife. Good question. Well, my grandparents for sure (Although I only have my father's parents left and they live in Cairo, so I can only see them once a year.) I am actually less respectful to my parents than I probably should be. As for being respectful to my friends? Not so much. I am actually less respectful to my parents than I probably should be. Akira Toriyama.
1. If we were to split up his name Toriyama into Tori yama aka 鳥 山, it would mean bird mountain. Look at Android 16, he loves birds and was ...made in the mountains should I say. I wonder if that was inspired by his own name... 2. He forgot about Lunch. Though I wanted her to be in DBZ, it makes DBZ violent-free. Sort of. For a serious answer though, besides my gf... Not my parents. Nor my siblings. Unless they don't use these homophobic words, I won't respect them as much as I respect everyone else. though I still respect them, not as much as everyone else in general. Especially not my brother...who seems to not use homophobic words but he's so annoying Pretty much though I show equal respect to everyone; teacher or students. Though the person I show the most respect for besides my gf would probably be the owner of this elementary school. He's a nice guy. He even allowed our dogs to go inside the school at a random day. Also I guess I show more respects than others to this one guy I actually hate. I know, showing respect for someone you hate...weird I know. But he got me into Zelda and I still talk to him a lot so I see no reason to disrespect him. Except for the fact he's the biggest memer I have ever met. *sigh* I hate memes 1. I am respectful of most people. I nod my head at theirs or my own passing to show I acknowledge their existence and thus show respect. However if we are talking about in terms of who do I respect in a more academic sense. I must say I respect my mother, and people like Da Vinci and Galileo. Without them we would not have progressed to where we are today technology wise. Thus this thread and conversation would not exist. It is interesting to know things could have turned out different with just the matter of a single person not existing. This proves our actions can pave futures. We simply have to be really smart. ((Which I know I'm not XD)) Hopefully one day someone can say they respect you. However if we are talking about in terms of who do I respect in a more academic sense. There really isn't one person that I respect the most (unless you count my parents, and even then sometimes I'm so annoyed by them), but I tend to respect people who are polite, kind, and generally a good person. With someone that I've just met, I give them a benefit of a doubt and look at how good of a person they are. If they're a good person then I respect them, and there's not that many people that have lost all of my respect. I have a hard time showing someone that I respect them sometimes however so that can cause some problems :s. I don't think I respect one single person the most. I respect everyone until they prove to me that they don't deserve my respect, and even then I try to be as civil as possible, usually . I respect all of my friends and basically everyone who is kind and respectful towards others. |

I respect most people. I mostly respect my teachers, friends, and other users on this site. Mainly, I respect everyone until they have done something to lose my respect for them. Of course, those people can gain it back by proving to me they can be better. |

The first person who comes to mind would have to be my father. Despite my best efforts, I've more or less turned out exactly like him in more ways than not. He's always been a very intelligent, logical yet caring, hard-working individual, and I respect him for that. I could go on and on about all the things he does well, but I doubt anyone really cares to hear about that. Of course he has shortcomings, and even things I resent him for, but he's a good man deserving of respect and admiration. Probably Mrfe or myself at this point. It's always good to respect yourself since maybe not a lot of others would respect you. I respect Mrfe because he's just a really cool guy. He's done a lot for me, we're besties and I honestly think that he's probably the best person on Vizzed

In general, I respect the people that respect other people. The people I tend to respect the most though are my mentors, superiors and the people around me. They took the time and effort to teach me how to become a better person so that I could try to help others as well, so I will forever be thankful for the wisdom they imparted and the valuable life lessons and skills that they passed on to me. I only hope that someday, I could be at least half as good as they were at helping others. The people I tend to respect the most though are my mentors, superiors and the people around me. Respect is earned.
You do give all human beings a level of respect that is above animals and inanimate objects of course, but anything above that is awarded because of something you have done, or even because you are related to someone important. I know that second part may sound strange, but think about this. If you knew a great leader and you wanted to pay honor to him, what is one way that you might go about it? Treating his/her children well would be one way. Families are connected, and share represent each other as a unit. You can try and be politically correct as you like, but that isn't the way we as humans instinctively view it. I give respect to people pretty easily. Only if someone is a jerk at first do they really lose that first dose of it. Some people I respect on here would be User. . . Eni. People I consider friends. Yuna, Vanelan, two mods come to my mind as honorable people for what I've interacted with them. I've enjoyed these interactions and I can see that they try to be fair. Of course I must extend some to Davidio because he made this site. And without him, it wouldn't exist at all. A user of this : HERE THAT BUDDY? YOU HAVE MY RESPECT. YOU CAN REST IN PEACE NOW HA HA . . . Sheesh. . . that cofee is really getting to me. Dark knight of the blackened sun. I am Sword Legion, one of many. My mask is thick, and my armor is strong. All the more necessary in a world such as this. . . |
