Do you get a lot of attention from your friends, your mother and/or father, your siblings, i don't know. Do you get attention from them?

Probably it has to do everything with your personality, of which i made a thread of once. But i'm curious: How much attention do you need to be happy? Are you overall an attention seeker?

I can seek attention a lot if i got the mood. Mostly for showing adults and friends my drawings and stories. If i don't get attention, i somehow don't get stressed at all.

I've been searching for a lookalike-thread, and couldn't find something like this.

Eh. I mean most of the time I'm in my room on my computer and being a loser. xP

I don't really want to seek attention, I'm just glad people know I exist. I don't need tons of attention, but I need people to know I exist. I felt like nobody knew I existed during 8th Grade, so that was one of the major reasons I went into depression. But yeah, my mom is a little over-protective so she can give lots of attention if you need it. Like if I wanted to wake her up for something right now at 4 in the morning, she wouldn't mind.

As long as people around me aren't completely ignoring me and actually listen when I have something to say I'm fine.  When I was younger around primary/middle school I used to want a lot of attention specifically from grown ups. In the form of people praising me for doing well in school and in general being pretty calm and  fairly studious for my age. It made me feel validated. I think I sort of grew out of that though.

I don't hate getting attention if it's not bad attention assuming I did something deserving of it. However given the option now, I'm usually more content being left alone in my room playing video games or using my computer lol. Too much attention and I easily tire or get annoyed depending on what it's about.

Yeah I can see things are pretty standard with that. My mother she gives me a lot of attention at times even though most of the time I don't want it. But I understand she does it to make sure I am ok and all. It can kind of depend on any type of family and how they would do that for you. As long as your not being ignored in a way then it should be fine. When you start to get ignored by your family that's when you think if things are really ok within that family.

Well I do not seek complete attention, I just don't want the people around me to make me feel all alone, because I'll end up lonely. There is a difference between being alone and being lonely. I love being alone, but I do not love being lonely, being left out. You don't deserve the people who make you feel all alone, you should remove them from your life list (Keep your life simple!). And, yeah, I do get enough attention from my friends and family. They care about me at least, that's the important thing.

I would say if anything I get too much attention. I just want to be left alone more often than not, and they constantly nag me to spend more time with them and the rest of the family. If anything, I really don't give them enough attention, but that's just how I am. It's not like I outright ignore them or anything, I just enjoy solitude A LOT more than most people, as long as I have something to keep myself preoccupied. 

But yes, they give me plenty of attention, whether I seek it out or not. They really have my best interests at heart, it just comes off as nagging most of the time. Nope. I get like no attention from them. Which honestly I feel is better for me, they're pretty terrible people.

I avoid attention, the only attention I really want is from my girlfriend, mist of my Family annoys me, and I only have one friend that I kept from high school. 


To be honest I highly prefer doing activities that involve only myself, unless I'm online of course.
