Title is pretty self explanatory. Ranging from Brock all the way to Wulfric, who is your favorite Gym Leader in all of pokemon?

I'd have to say Sabrina since she's cute she's the first Gym Leader to ever really make me struggle, even in later gens when Psychic isn't as overpowered as it once was. Also I felt like a champion when I figured out the trick to her gym puzzle (you know, back when gym puzzles were hard :O ????)

I'd give second to Clair.

I would have to say Flannery because she was pretty difficult for me once upon a time.

Though another reason is that she looks nice to me.....don't judge >/////<

I really like Roxie because she's pretty hot before and after you battled her, you see a family issue. That's not something you usually see in Pokemon games, especially with gym leaders. I know that there's some other gym leaders that have problems in the series, but this one stuck out to me the most for some reason.

Battle-wise, I really enjoyed battling Whitney Blue. Think about it. The final gym leader is a former champion. You have this feeling akin to "Former champion? I'm dead." in your head. Pretty cool moment.

In terms of the gym leader him/herself I would probably go with
Spoiler:
Giovanni

It was a pretty shocking twist at the time  having to face off against him after having encountered him before and having battled team rocket. Made all the more fitting by him being the last one before you would face before the Pokemon League.

In terms of the gyms themselves, probably the castelia city gym. I love most of the gym designs in the Unova games but it stands out to me because I like the all white look and it has one of my favorite soundtracks in the game. Too bad Burgh isn't as amazing (sorry Burgh lovers?). Snowpoint Gym I also liked simply because of the satisfaction I had the first time I solved that puzzle.

Also I may be in the minority when I say I didn't really like Clair. Considering the only personality shown was basically refusing to accept that you won and making you take some test which is pretty stupid when you're a gym leader. The actual battle was fairly challenging I suppose though, the first time through at least.

I saw this thread last night and I so wanted to post in it. But I had to force myself not too. Or I would had in need to post another 5 times. And I was having trouble looking for threads already. So I stopped for the night. But said would post in this thread tomorrow when I wake up. Anyways my favourite gym leader would be....yeah it would have to be Sabrina. I've always liked her for some reason. Maybe because of the way she battles. XD

I share your fondness for Sabrina but since my first Pokemon game was Ruby, I'd like to pick from there instead. Wallace always stood out to me because not only is his character design fantabulous, he's a water-type trainer (as someone who always starts off with the Water type, this earns bonus points from me!) with an overabundance of eloquence and class- the perfect gentleman.

Candice from Diamond and Pearl comes close second, because not only is she adorable, but her Abomasnow kicked my butt time after time!

Flannery, Sabrina, Iris, and Burgh are my favorites. All respect to the bug types, and my second favorite typing is dragon, so that really solidified Iris's spot. Flannery and Sabrina were really fun to fight too. Also they are cute and so is Iris I mean who wants ice cream? No? Pokepuffs? I hear they're really good. Let's all try some next thread.

I had Black so I'm going with Drayden (Iris) Love the dragon Pokemon and I also really like the layout of the gym as well. Not to mention there were a few times where battling him turned out to be quite a challenge. I also really like battling Norman, each time I battle him I'm like "Oh yeah I'm finally doing it. REBELLION"

I always liked Brycen, the Ice one from Gen 5. Ice is one of my favorite types and I mean the guy has a really.... chill personality

Also the fact that he was a former actor but can still somehow see some weird shadow people that no one else can see. I just really like the guy.

Morty because ghost is probably my favorite type.

Special mention for Erika as back when I played the original she the first tough test for me, probably because I always went for Squirtle and there were no fire types to catch at that point in the game.

Is it sad that I live Block? Rock Pokémon are some of my favorite, and Block was actually really cool sometimes in the Anime, I also love your Father from Sapphire, the fact you get to go back and fight him is great.

With regards to the Gym Design I would have to say the Sootopolis City Gym as it was something I had fun with working out the puzzle. I only got stuck a few times over all the times I have played Emerald so there's nothing to worry about too much but it was pretty challenging though.

As for the Gym Leader itself I would have to say Byron, because the Steel type Gym was quite challenging for me in terms of difficulty, especially with regards to the Platinum game where the AI is smarter than usual. Another part of this comes from the anime where he is voiced by none other than DAN GREEN!

BYRON LOVES DEFENSE *background explosion*

Candice comes close due to her Abomasnow and Froslass being painful to take down, especially the latter.

My favorite gym leader in the pokemon anime would have to be Lt. Surge, since it was really fun to watch Pikachu beat his Raichu to a pulp. Now granted, I don't watch very much of the anime at all, but I thought that battle was very entertaining, especially with the one before it having Ash be beaten by the aforementioned Raichu. Lt. Surge was also a pretty cool dude in general.

In the games, I've got to go with Pryce. Pryce was a chill old dude, (ha ha ha ha ha ha, guys did you see that? I made a pun! No? Bad? Okay fine, fine. I'll go on then.) and the battle was fun. He said a bunch of stuff about bonding with your pokemon, which I always liked in the games, and  the battle was pretty fun and somewhat challenging, since I didn't bust out my handy Typhlosion.

He did almost kill one of my pokemon in my nuzlocke run of Soul Silver though, so I'm kind of wary of him as a result of that incident.

I really like misty from the first generation. She was a very challenging leader and I always liked the water Pokémon's sprites and attack animations. Not to mention I really liker her character. She is very interesting.

I'd have to go with Sabrina like Furret said. When I first started playing the games about 15 years ago, she was always a huge struggle to beat (though keep in mind I was like 10 at the time ). Psychic was way OP back in Gen 1, and maybe even 2, so she always tore me up when I would first get to her, even if I went out of my way to do as much of the game as possible before facing her.

I always thought the concept of being Psychic / using Telekinesis was really cool, and I liked her character in the anime as well.

First of all, I'll never forget Brock as my first Gym Battle with him, he is an amazing Gym Leader, in my opinion. But my favorite Gym Leader, for me, is Giovanni... who by the way is Leader of Team Rocket and the last Gym Leader!? That blew my mind when I seen that in the older games.

Giovanni may have been most likely a criminal, but his nature for Team Rocket in the games are respected by me.

It's a very close race for me between Misty and Morty in my opinion. I always liked Misty from the anime, but she was also tough for me to beat because I chose Squritle everytime and my only Pokemon that was effective against her was Pikachu. Morty was always really hard for me for some reason. He also seems like a cool guy and I like ghost types as well. I'm gonna have to give a slight edge to Morty (sorry Misty bae ). His gastly was really easy and his Haunters were not that hard, but his Gengar gave me a lot of trouble.

Minuano : Smh at that pun. You've been talking to maguc too much.
