So, I know there are quite a few people who have been locked out of old accounts because they forgot their passwords and they are unable to get the password changed.

Well, I have your solution. I can fix that for you! Let me know which account you used to have access to (probably best to do via PM) and I can reset your password to something and then you can fix your password yourself.

I'm going to need some sort of evidence that the account is yours. I'll likely check IP's against the old account and the new one you are using. This is mostly for people who had active accounts who lost access. I don't really care if you lost access to an account with 500 Viz and no posts.

Eniitan : yeah, it's not working perfectly. I'm not sure if leftover code from profiles is screwing things up or what but not every profile works yet. The new profile pages haven't officially been released so I'm using pages that aren't publicly available and don't always work. There are still bugs at this point.

EX Palen : this is very new (within the last week). It might explain where the issues are coming from for people who have problems with their current profiles. The current profiles are going to disappear soon once David finishes updating the new profile code. Then people will have more access to editing their profiles than they currently have.

This isn't COMPLETELY related, but has to do with the new administration powers.

With everyone suddenly out to get their usernames changed, it's hard to keep up with who is who. I can't say I'm fond of the fact that now everyone can do it, no matter how established the user is. Lol

I'd like to suggest an addition to the profIle pages that shows any previous names that user had? It'd make things a lot less awkward and confusing.

I have blurry memories of having the original username displayed on their profile as well. Maybe it's one of those things that appears and disappears as David plays around with the code.

Being serious, David will implement the feature to display the registration name of a user in case they changed it when the new profiles go out. I just tested it and it displays even more clearly than in the Memberlist, so I guess that solves your issue.
