After two turbulent and crazy world wars, the world has mostly been steadily improving. International relations have improved, we've evolved and came so far. However, would it be possible for a third World War to commence? Considering the conflicts with Ukraine and Syria, poverty, famine, terrorism, overpopulation, pollution, and the like, could it ever be a possibility? We might never know, but I'd think it would be interesting to discuss.
 
Can WW3 ever happen? If it cannot, why is it so? Thanks for listening.

Ukraine and Syria are already at war with each other, everyone hate them for that but no one will stop it. IsIs is dying very slowly and will be an example on why you shouldent anger so many governments. japan and china dont want war but none of them want any of them to get resource. african government is mess up, there's no way any of them can cause a war. americans and russians don't like each other but everyone else says to be friends or they will cut ties with them (mostly the usa will suffer under this). the americans hate to fight the drug war on mexico, central america, and south america, the americans lie about it being peaceful while everyone else is blaming the usa for never helping as well as covering things up, over 10+ million people have died because of the war on drugs.

the only real war is the drugs but americans never care so there is never a chance WW3 can happen but there is a chance that americans will be taken over by drug gangs.

Actually, the world has never really been at peace. There were numerous players in The Cold War, The Korean Conflict and the "Police Action" in Vietnam. While not fought on nearly as huge a scale as either of the World Wars, they were essentially world wars. The key players in any hypothetical third world war would be the US, China, Russia, The DPRK and any NATO countries. Collectively, they all butt heads with each other about assorted things and it would only take one or two really, really impulsive decisions or incidents to escalate things.

Really, I don't think there will be a world war like those we've already seen. No body really has any allies anymore and it would likely be complete global chaos instead of two or three united fronts against each other.

Russia is buddy-buddy with China, but China doesn't care much for the DPRK. Moscow has ties to Pyongyang, and would likely back them up against China if they ever did anything stupid. This would pretty much kill anything Russia and China have to do with each other. We don't care much for china, but financially, China owns us. We don't like Russia, and would side with China against North Korea and Russia. Then Iran wipes Israel off the face of the earth and we are at war with them. It would be borderline apocalyptic.

Yeah, you're probably right about the world never being at peace. I meant to say it has been improving, but it still flawed (I'll fix that). A better question would be "What armed conflict will happen next?". Thanks for sharing, man. 

We're probably pretty close to World War III already, with Syria attempting to take over a ton of territory, right wing Governments rising up and the UK flipping the rest of Europe the bird.
Putin is arming, and we're prepared to send planes over Syria to create a No fly zone, where Russian planes fly.
If we confront one we're authorised to shoot it down.

That's why I wish either Bernie Sanders or Rand Paul won, they were against a no fly zone.

Europe is dividing, I think it's going to happen.

Honestly, if there was ever another war that was similar enough to the first two when it comes to the amount of forces in it, and the number of individual wars and battles that compromised it, or even anything close really, the world would end. Nobody would win because with the technology and weapons that everyone has today, whoever attacks and gets attack could easily be wiped out, and anyone in the crosshairs could suffer huge losses as well.

The question is (I believe) not if, but when.

With the next economic crisis (because it WILL happen) the crash that will ensue will be so devastating that demagoguery will reach heights it hadn't reached in decades. This will unfortunately be proper for the development of extremism that could very well spark a large-scale war.

World war three will be the war fought with homemade object such as homemade bombs and homemade tanks. It will be scary. I don't see a WW3 happening anytime soon though.

Ultrajeff : When you think about it, it really could happen. All the conflicts with countries and basically the world crumbling down into bits, it really could happen. I wouldn't say any time soon, but possibly later. And I think America would probably lose and the whole world could possibly just die off. And don't forget all the nukes that all of the countries out there have. Even if we have them, are country is still doomed. Barack Obama killed the country some, and Trump could make it worse. But hey, at least there is no Hillary Clinton. Sadly, it will probably happen.
