well now i have a reason to stay on vizzed. No more asking people to buy games for me, cuz there's a good chance i will find what i want here. This is a greatest thing since sliced bread

This is a feature I can't say I ever expected, but I couldn't be happier about it!

I've got a couple hundred unused codes saved up over the years that have been collecting dust, I might just throw them into the market now sometime once I've got the time. If things keep going in this direction, I have high hopes that Vizzed will reclaim it's once promising position on the internet!

P.S. A search function would be handy for filtering through the items.

This is something I never expected, but it's an awesome thing to add. It looks far, far better than the old Item Shop page, and it's got a lot more functionality as well. I'm sure this'll be far more convenient for both the sellers and the customers to use instead of the main board.

Honestly, one of the things that I really like about this site is the constant updates. There's always something to come back to.

This is a wonderful update to the item shop.  Much quicker and easier than having to use the forum to buy or sell steam games, and no worries of your items being removed due to inactivity.  I've already sold four steam games and purchased four others.  Perfect way to use up all those leftover codes I still had from when I used to run a steam shop thread.  Vizzed never ceases to amaze me.

Man this is awesome, David! I love this idea, and it'll really make the site boom when it takes off I think. I can't wait until it really picks up (looks great already!) and I can start using it myself.

Edit: A really good feature though would be buy orders, say I wanted a specific steam game, like SSFIVAE, I would put that in, and once someone puts up a key for it on the market, it would give me a notification!

Love this, but here's an idea, what if there was a thing that showed how many new games were added in the past 24 hours? That way people would right away know that there's something new instead of having to go through the list every now and then.

Already bought a ton of stuff.

So with this can we have this whole monopoly of all the money like if it were the grand exchange in RS, general money in WOW or real life with the stock market if we start soon enough? Or is it just a sort of tiny store on the street sort of deal? 

I decided to try this out and bought Back to the Future (turns out my pc isn't powerful enough and the game is glitchy for me RIP) and it works :3 Really great feature, happy with this. Didn't expect THIS at all lol. I look forward to how the site will be next year

Dang, there are some good digital games on there. I wish I didn't already own all the ones I want. I'm tempted to get one just to give away.

Edit: Just kidding, I still found like 4 games I wanted for myself! Very cool.

cooldragon1990 : I don't have a copy of Resident Evil 5 Gold Edition but maybe someone else does that would be willing to make a deal.

I don't make money when I obtain Viz. Increasing the value of Viz makes it more valuable for others to earn and most of the ways that users earn it is by submitting content to the site which potentially drives in more traffic which ultimately increases site revenue.

Just think about it, almost all of the ways that you can earn Viz helps out the site. It's basically me rewarding users for their contributions.


m0ssb3rg935 : Out of all the features I've been wanting to add to the site over the past 5 years, it's definitely the 2nd feature I was most excited about adding. The #1 feature is of course the Battle Arena but that'll be added sooner rather than later thanks to having the Vizzed Market up.

It's something I'll consider if the feature ever takes off. I wouldn't ever want to take out as much as Ebay or Amazon though, those sites are ridiculous with how much of the profit they take.

I'll work on making it so that users don't accidentally resell used codes.

evilcon09 : Users will have to specify in the description whether what they're selling is good for other countries. As far as I know, I only have a few codes that are region locked and I'll be sure to mention it.


EX Palen : The last item shop was made by a developer for the previous Vizzed Board who I paid a small amount to. He was most likely a kid at the time and completed it all within a day. This new Market place has far more time invested into it and I would like to think that far more experience went into it as well. Also, it definitely helps that I have the new site code done in a way where adding new features takes less time than it would have taken years ago.

gamerforlifeforever2 : Yeah as I mentioned previously, the previous item shop was poorly coded. So many users would accidentally buy an item and place it on a slot that already had an item resulting into them losing an item. Or users would click an item and accidentally sell it. Also with me adding more and more Vizzed Items in the future, we definitely needed the ability to own more items.


ZeroTails : Yeap this will definitely help you get your Viz worth. I've kinda kept this feature quiet for sometime because it's funner to surprise users with new features rather than promise them a new feature months or years before it comes out.

NovemberJoy : I've been pretty fortunate over the years to be making a full time income off of the site which allows me to put 40-60 hours into the site each week. This has allowed me to update things and add things all the time. Unfortunately the site is no longer at that point which means my development time will be dropping in the near future but lately I've been putting in the extra time to get as many great things added to the site as I can before I have to start investing time into other sources of income.

Eirinn : That's what I'm hoping as well. There's not a lot of sites out there that allow you to do this sort of stuff so if I can offer more than those other sites then hopefully the Vizzed Market will drive in lots of traffic.

zanderlex : I've added some stats to the information panel that'll let users know how many have been added in the past 24 hours and in the past hour. I also added some other useful information to that info panel and I plan to add more in the future.

I've also made it so that listings added in the past 24 hours have a bolded time in the date added column. Soon I'll make it so that users can change the order of the listings in case they want to have it so that the cheapest shows up first, most recent show up first, etc.


Halolimnic : I suppose users could make a monopoly on the Viz currency. The big difference with Viz compared to real money is that Viz is usually created on demand when a user does something worthy of earning Viz. Actually, that's not so different from the US government at all because they also like to create trillions of dollars out of nowhere lol.


Linkums : Just be sure to check back every day since I've been adding 100s of new codes each day. These things are selling really well so you might actually want to check more than once per a day lol.

Davideo7 : Just wanted to get a clarification. How do you go about reselling codes you've purchased in the store without losing the verified label? Do I just input the information on the sell page and it automatically retains it, or is there something I'm missing

Great job! The only thing I'd recommend is to add how much Viz the user has on the sidebar, so it can be more easily clarified.

Davideo7 : If I may ask, if I do sell a digital code will I be allowed to sell random codes? Like 1 random steam key or something like that?

I've just made it so that the listings show various Attributes in the Price column. These basically let you know if a listing is verified and if it's a "supply and demand" listing. I'll add more attributes later as I add new features.


Zlinqx : That was actually a feature I hadn't fully implemented yet. I just did now. Unfortunately any codes previously purchased can't be resold with the verified label but all future codes can be.


KingofRPG : Great idea. I just added that information to the right side panel.


realplayer109 : You can do that yeah but just be prepared for someone getting upset if they receive a code for a game that they didn't like. That's bound to happen.

Zlinqx : You can always click to show the codes and then manually enter those codes in when you go to sell them but they just wont have the Verified attribute. Since you're staff you'll probably not have any issues with someone trusting a listing from you.

Davideo7 : Yeah that's what I figured I'll do if I sell them. I wasn't thinking it would be a huge hindrance regardless since I obviously wouldn't get far scamming people lol. Just figured it would be better to keep the verified label if it was possible so that's why I asked. As well as to help clear things up for anyone who could be wondering the same thing.

I can confirm that the market works great! Just bought my first digital item: TowerFall Ascension, got the code, and I'm downloading it now! Drained my Viz, but I've been wanting to get that game for a while now after seeing the Achievement Hunters play it.

This hasn't been addressed but what happens if the code someone got (lets call him person A) is working and started selling on the market. A few days later somebody bought it (lets call her person B) but didn't add the code immediately because "add reason". The developer then decided to make that key was well as many others invalid because he believed the keys are making him lose profit. Person B enters the keys only to find that its invalid, person B ask for Viz back but person A doesn't want to and believes its a lie.

How can the market protect everyone from such a thing, its impossible to know if a key is valid or how long it will stay valid.
