Vizzed is more than a site. It's a wonderful utopia. Being able to play retro games as well as discuss several interesting topics between others is quite pleasing. I'm truly grateful for David Auchampach for creating this wonderland, but I'm also grateful that I met all of you, as well. Vizzed covers several subjects far and wide such as religion, politics, and more. The community is surprisingly well-informed yet humble. I'm having fun writing this and I hope you have fun writing a just response. 

I'd like to know. What about Vizzed truly entices you? What do you enjoy doing on Vizzed daily? Thanks for helping out on this wonderful site. Best regards to Dave.

I have recently rediscovered Vizzed and although I was just a casual user of the site before, I have enjoyed reading through the discussion boards and it's nice to find like-minded people who not only enjoy retro games, but are also nice to talk to about general life too

I also like writing reviews about the games that shaped a lot of my childhood and began my passion for particular genres, such as my love of the Fallout series likely stemming from the many hours I put in playing Ultima IV on my Sega Master System. Writing the reviews lets me think about what I first loved about the game, getting that lovely feeling of nostalgia which I then try to share.

I also love the range of games that you can play here. Having owned quite a few different consoles, it's great to have access to all my favourite games in one place.

Utopia?  Every other board is people arguing with each other.  The chat room is full of uneducated silliness.  And activity seems to be ultra-low compared to the past many years of Vizzed.com being online.  I'm not sure where you found the word Utopia but what we have here isn't it.  I just read a post asking what we need to do to increase traffic.  Looking for help means one is struggling and doesn't have the answers.  That a utopia is not.

Honestly, the best comments and conversations were led by people no longer around.  They're gone and they took a great site with them to wherever they went.  Now.... well, I checked in once last week and nothing new was going on.  Traffic is down, conversations outside the elimination boards are down.... nothing's happening.

I don't think there's a single element of Vizzed I love.  Most of it's pretty good, but no love.

Ghostbear1111 : LOL. I agree there are a lot of arguments on the boards, but you can't tell me bad stuff about the chat room when you have a grand total of 0.7 chat hours. That's like 45 minutes in chat. There is a lot of silliness in chat, but that's one of the things that makes it so great. People discuss more serious things in chat as well, so don't judge it when you are barely even there. Another thing you said which I found ridiculous was that the best conversations have been by people that aren't here any longer. I guess you could say that if you've been here for like 3 or more years and have seen "the good ol days" of Vizzed, but you've only been here for like 7 months. So, unless you're a re-reg, that point is kind of not applicable. There are still a lot of great posts and a lot of great posters. I agree that activity has kind of dropped and stuff, but it's still a great site. 

Alright, back to the question. I love a lot of things about Vizzed. The chat room is amazing. Right now, with the new chat, not many people have been in there recently, but before a few weeks ago, chat was pretty active. I love how you can talk about something weird and silly one second and 10 seconds later, you're discussing politics. It's a very fun place to be with a lot of fun people. I love all the hacks you can play on Vizzed as well. When I first joined, I was a noob and thought playing hacks would hack your computer or something. When I found that wasn't true, I started playing hacks, and I fell in love with some of them. Lastly, I love the community (for the most part ). So many nice people on here and most of the people on the forums are willing to help you. It's definitely not a utopia, but I still love Vizzed, as it helps me get away from the stress and bad things that happen in my real life.

I dunno. Something's kept me here for 7 years. I don't think I've been apart of any other community for this long. I guess just all the friends I've made, and keep making. The community is definitely one of the nicest, even if I've seen 1 or 2 generations of the community go by - each and every one of them is more welcoming than the last.

I love just about everything the site has to offer.
The people are among the best group you could possibly hope to find online. Welcoming, helpful, friendly, and engaging. What more could you ask for without having unrealistically high expectations?
As far as games go, I have yet to find anything that comes close to Vizzed's vast library of titles, let alone how EXTREMELY streamlined the process to play them is.
And as for the boards, most of the content here is way above par for an online forum. The fact it's open-minded yet regulated to keep things in order is the perfect balance of expressing yourself while keeping things civil. Not to mention the fact David goes out of his way to keep us informed as to how the site is doing and the various new features he implements.

All in all, it's about as close to perfect as anyone could realistically ask for. If you think differently, try accomplishing half of what this site has on your own, and see how far you get. I will always be grateful to David and the Staff for making this site what it is and trying their best to provide an excellent place for us all to talk and play games together.

I remember going back, all the games I bought with Viz back in early-2010. Man, I loved the games, the Retro Toon Room (if only... if only), the vast profound community here, and all of that similar type. Me having been on vizzed for just about 6 years now, it is amazing how I will keep returning when it may seem blank!

You might not think of it as a utopia, but I do, so who's to say I can't think of it as such? This website has introduced me to some of the nicest people I have ever met and some incredibly engaging topics. I have never seen or been in any conflict on this site. In an average day, I can send about 20 or more messages because I have some really good friends on here, and throughout the day, there are a few times where I will just come on, see that I don't have any new messages and just leave for another 20 minutes because I have nothing else to do.

I mostly like it for the chill atmosphere here (except when there's a debate or something and even then the mods at least try to cool it down), the amazing friends I've made (that's like 80% of the reason I'm here), chat, when it's active and fun, and posting around. This is pretty much the only site where I've been so involved with the community, and I'm glad I did.

Well, let's see here...there's the massive library of games that can be played easily without me cluttering my system with roms, the enormous number of features that outdo almost any site I've used for quite a while, the diverse and chill community that can discuss serious things and also just hang out and be silly with each other...There's a lot to like, although there are a few users that don't agree. It's their opinion.

I'd say.....mostly for the games and the other half to do with my friends. I won't say as much well most people have stated here what their friends have done for them and whatnot. Its amazing. Not every site can allow you to stay for as long as you think you can stay on. Most others you don't feel......What's the word I am looking for? Welcomed in a way, and have offers that can not make you refuse. vizzed has something not a lot of other sites has. Which makes it extra special.
