We all have different tastes, tornado. I just hate the crap they play at the gym,I think their worst choice was a couple of Skrillex songs and Katy Perry's Dark Horse. 18m,that is a good choice,I have the original Rocky,I think,I have Eye of the Tiger, and No Easy Way Out.

It really depends on my mood at the time, but generally dubstep or heavy metal, particularily albums by artists/bands such as Savant, Slipknot, Lamb of God, Excision, and Adrian von Ziegler (amazing composer, by the way. I highly suggest listening to some of stuff - especially Gleipnir).

I generally listen to anything along the lines of Tool, older Disturbed, older Avenged Sevenfold, older Linkin Park, older Godsmack, and other similar stuff. I love a lot of everything in the wide genre of "Rock", as long as it's not someone screaming to the point you can't understand them. A lot of grunge and rock from the 90's (Third Eye Blind, Stone Temple Pilots) are among the list as well. Anything that gets me hyped or just something I really enjoy.

I don't actually "listen" to anything per se because when I'm working out, I'm at the gym, and I'm watching tv on their monitors, so i am listening to something, but its a tv show, usually castle or American dad.

I like to mix it up with Kanye west and Jay Z songs with some Rocky it is very difficult to beat that combination of music during work outs in the gym. In every other work out scenarios such as running outside (gasps) I prefer not to listen to music unless I'm stretching which I dislike doing for some odd reason.

My playlist is a mix of current pop music and Top 40, like Justin Beiber, Britney Spears, Ellie Goulding, that Justin Hell guy or whoever did the "Monster with Two Heads," the guys that did "Cake by the Ocean," Black Keys, and more.

I also have early 2000s hip hop and R&B, like 50 Cent, T.I., some new and old Cypress Hill, and other guys from there.

I lastly have 80s/90s heavy rock, like Beastie Boys, a majority of the soundtrack from PlayStation II's Madden 2003, and heavy stuff like Alien Ant Farm, Seether, Metallica.

As long as it has a beat, it is up and moving, it has some heavy bass, and I can embrace the discomfort and heat of training, I dig it. I don't work out, I train with vengeance and I forge my body in the furnace of my will.

The best song I have is the theme song to Mike Tyson's Punch-out from NES. That's the song I close out my last half-mile on my runs. It's awesome.

I usually listen to what is playing on the gym's Spotify. Luckily, at least during weekdays, there is a lot of rock, my favorite kind of music. It is usually so loud that I would need deafening volume in my headphones to listen to my music, which is usually video-game related.

You got lucky then,Janus. My gym usually pipes out either alternative music or bubblegum pop. (Neither is my favorite.)

Give me rock, old school rap, metal any day.

What do I like to listen to when I'm working out?, well it depends on what types of exercise I'm doing. For example if I'm jogging or a light running I what a fast paced pop song, but if I'm dead lifting or push ups I like rap and or rock.

I can understand that, for moving you want songs to make you move. For strength training, you want inspiration, you want something to make you push your limits.

I've got to have rock music blaring when I'm working out, otherwise it's just hard for me to get into it, you know? And I really hate those gyms that have soft stuff going and you feel uncomfortable if you go in to work hard, I don't know if anyone knows what I'm talking about, because literally no one is pushing it in there, and you feel weird if you do.

So the rock helps me tune all of that out, to some extent.

I know what you mean. You need music that will move you, motivate you, make you get your a$$ in gear. I like rock or metal or nerdcore playing when I go use the boxing area in my gym. Put on the gloves and then express how you feel on the leather and canvas.
