This forum serves 2 main purposes:


Contests / Tournaments
All contests and tournaments that I and others host from now on will be held in this forum. With all of the contests/tournament threads, it makes sense to have them all in their own forum, especially since they were crowding the Retro Game Room forum previously. I'm hoping this also draws more attention to the various Contests and Tournaments that I host.

Netplay
This forum can also be used as a place to discuss and set up times to play games online with others. The netplay and lobby are one of the most exciting features on Vizzed but it's also one of the most underused feature. Hopefully this forum encourages users to play with other users online.

Netplaying Retro Game Room games with others will be the primarily focus, you can also use this forum to find users to play non-RGR games online with including Xbox, PlayStation, 3DS, Steam, etc.

Eniitan : Yeap especially since it means 9 less stickied threads in the Retro Game Room forum. That forum has always had far too many stickied threads but all of the stickies were necessary so this is also a great way to make that forum less overwhelming for new users.

Jordanv78 : It's also worth pointing out that some of the contests I host now aren't Retro Game Room oriented so that's another reason why having a forum dedicated to this stuff works out great. I sometimes host Video Game Room contests and every month from now on I also host contests utilizing the Video Game Music Room.

The other day I kinda got sick of how unorganized the the contests and tournament threads were and I've had users tell me multiple times that they can't find the contests and tournament threads. When I decided to make a forum for it, I figured doing a multi-purpose forum like this was the best way to go, especially since tournaments involve netplay.

Well, I was hoping that the Let's Play Online forum could also be used for streaming purposes, like setting up a time for very big streams or a multiplayer game. The second option still stands, as it goes under the "Netplay" part, but the first one will have to use another forum (if someone ever planned on making a previous "announcement" of an upcoming big stream, which I plan to do if I manage to get my forum going).

Eirinn : Yeah to be honest, I sometimes overlook the stickied threads too. I think having too many stickied threads in a forum results into users overlooking them. There should definitely be a limit of probably 10 sticky threads per a forum.

I'll go ahead and say this right now, this is the best of the new forums added today. I used to go the the RGR forum all the time just for the RGR contests and netplay. Now that they're separate forums, if I go view the RGR forum, I'll be more inclined to look at the other threads there, instead of just the contests and stuff.

Vizzed.com is very expensive to keep alive! The Ads pay for the servers.

Vizzed has 3 TB worth of games and 1 TB worth of music.  This site is free to use but the ads barely pay for the monthly server fees.  If too many more people use ad block, the site cannot survive.
