I decided to make this thread to see if anyone still wants Pokémon Z after Pokémon sun and moon were announced. I personally was really looking forward to returning to Kalos it was my favorite region to be honest I loved all the Pokémon and the fact that you could catch old Pokémon in it from the start as well. I also really wanted to see whats up with all those Zygarde forms and see if whatever is going on with ash's Greninja was going to be in the game.

Yeah, I was hoping for Z as well, and still do. However, since Sun and Moon were announced, it's unlikely that there will never be a Pokemon Z, and we'll be moving on to gen 7.

I find it very strange that there won't be, to say the least. Did you know that this makes Generation 6 the first one to not have some sort of sequel game to its region in its own Generation? Generation 1 had Yellow, 2 had Crystal, 3 had Emerald, 4 had Platinum, and 5 had Black 2/White 2.

Was I looking forward to it? Well, that's a very delicate matter to me.

On one hand, I loathed the story and overall game that was presented in X and Y. The challenge dipped once again, and nothing that was thrown at you was very hard.

At the same time, though, I want to see if a Pokémon Z could actually reconcile me by perhaps enhancing the story in some form. Make me like X and Y for how Z took those very elements! At the same time, this is a double-edged sword, because it has just as much potential to be worse than the initial, despite the proof of the sequels always faring better (although there have been arguments against Black 2/White 2, to my knowledge).

Without z, I feel this generation would be one of the smallest and even though it looks like there wont be one, I do wish that there was one, but the again, I'm also eager to get right into what sun and moon will be like.

I wish then have announced Z instead of Sun/Moon personally because Generation VI seems incomplete now. Well, people did say that they didn't want see because how poor X/Y turned out, so they decided to move on without Z. So, to the fans, they better hope that skipping Z is worth it and make Sun/Moon really good.

I personally hope that they did in fact released Z, but oh well.

IgorBird122 :   well I did see a theory on youtube that predictions that after the main game we would go back to kalos to do what we were going to do we were going to do in Pokémon z which I really hope is right I would love another game with 2 regions.

Sonicolmstead : It could be possible that we would see a game with 2 regions, we seen that in Gold/Silver, Crystal, and HeartGold/SoulSilver, but the way it goes, I think that it's more likely not going to happen with Sun/Moon because they said it's going to be a region far away from Kalos, and the way everyone predicted that it would be a region based on Hawaii. Also the remakes will more likely be Diamond/Pearl remakes a year after Sun/Moon in 2017.

Only way I basically see something with the "Z" storyline is when the Kalo's remakes comes out, but that more likely won't be till Gen IX (Gen VIII more likely will have Black/White remake and/or a Red/Blue re-remake).

Still, I do like to see Z like everyone else, but I don't think it will happen at this rate.

I don't think we're ever going to have Pokémon Z, since Sun and Moon was announced. You can't make another version of the main game, if the next generation was already announced.

I for one was personally hoping for Z and I wish they would have made it. Sun and Moon are good ideas but you know with Z we had it all figured out, we knew basically how it was going to be but Sun and Moon they haven't released any information on which is stupid since it comes out this year. Sure it comes out at the end of the year but it still comes out this year, they should give us something now. Like a tidbit and release little tidbits for the rest of the year till the game comes out. They've given us a little but there's so much more information to release about the games now that it's generation 7, they haven't released information about the starters, the legendaries, the trainer appearance, anything. Z would have been a much better idea, the way I see it.

Personally I feel as generation VI did its job I mean it introduced a new Pokemon that we had yet to experience and introduced mega evolutions as well. Although I wouldn't mind finding out more about the Kalos region but I feel like its job was done and Pokemon Moon and Sun will be the two games to improve the overall Pokemon experience by introducing new pokemon.

Sure! Sounds fun! 

Well to be honest I have never played X or Y, so I have no idea what Kalos even brought besides Mega Evolution and new Pokémon who Because I've never played them barely know what they are. But I question why they wouldn't release Z but to be honest it doesn't matter since they would basically rehash X and Y's story but make it tie in with Zyguarde or whatever it is called. Basically, Z is Pokémon Half-Life 3.

In my honest opinion (and the opinion of so many people in the fandom), X/Y is by far the worst game. Poor plot, poor character cast, poor Pokemon, etc. It has some new features introduced, for example, being able to dress up your trainer.. And that's about all I liked in the game.

Also comparing Gen 6 with Gen 5... Gen 5 was released with soo many new awesome looking Pokemon! Gen 6 has even less than Johto, and designs in some cases, are worse... I mean, a Keyring Pokemon that's a fairy. A blob of slime that is a dragon. An iceberg, a rock with hands that have eyes in them (Geodude/Graveler/Golem is also a rock with hands, but the design makes so much more sense haha)

Now the plot:
Spoilers: A war happens a few years ago. Some kind of ultimate weapon is made, and some guy called AZ get's eternal life, and then the new villain Lysandre wants to use the weapon, and then destroys himself along with the weapon. Then AZ and his 'best friend' (A Pokemon who died during the war) get reunited. And this plot takes up only half of the game. The other half is you running around the region, finding mega stones, and that's about it (Well of course, battling gyms, the victory road, elite four, etc). 

Seeing how bad X/Y did, I was really hoping they wouldn't jump straight into making another new gen, since in my opinion, they're running out of ideas. They remade Ruby and Sapphire, and remake's were great. I had some hope they would focus on remaking older games, and wait a few years until the make a new gen. Or I thought they would make Pokemon Z with maybe a new plot, new characters, etc.

But no.. They need the money, so they announce Sun/Moon. And it's not looking good so far, ever since they announced a new legendary (Magearna) and it's design is horrible. A Klink, Diancie and Dreamball fusion. 

I'm really sorry if this offends the people who did in fact like the game. I'm not saying X/Y was bad at whole... The dressing up thing was nice. I also loved the O-Power system. It's really only the minor things I liked in this game.

I'm not going to say I'm excited for Sun/Moon, but I'll be looking forward to seeing what they have for us this time... I'm hoping it'll be a lot better than X/Y.
