I actually am putting this in a document right now because I want to be organized with this. So first of all it still really confuses me how this is considered breaking the rules. Well, for one, why is it a rule? I can understand that some people may have abused the threads by making multiple and then never actually staying true to their word, but that’s kind of like “WELL ONE PERSON DID WRONG SO NO ONE GETS TO DO IT EVEN IF THEY DO IT CORRECTLY.” Don’t you find that a bit silly? I for one would post a leaving thread because I want to inform the community that I will no longer be here and my reasons for choosing to do so. It would be tedious to PM all the friends and people I want to inform, so making a thread that everyone can see is much more efficient. Anyway I just really wanted to get that part off of my chest.

So uh, I’m leaving?

It’s not because I don’t like being here or anything. It’s just Vizzed is very quiet. Like, extremely quiet. Vizzed used to be quite a lively place, imo. And before all the mods tell me “IT’S JUST EVERYONE FROM YOUR CYCLE IS LEAVING VIZZED ISN’T DYINGGHGH” I really want to be up front about this. It’s literally in the statistics. In one way or another, Vizzed is dying. It’s obvious that it’s lost activity, and it doesn’t seem to be recovering. I heard the chat is getting better, though. The overall site, like the forums, they still seem very empty. At least that’s what I can see.

Mostly I’m just leaving because, honestly, there’s no longer anything for me to do here. I’ve got my comic thread to take care of, sure. But it’s not getting the attention it used to. Not like that really bothers me, But I don’t make art just to make art. I want it to have some small amount of purpose. All the people I wish to keep in contact with, I already have other ways of contacting them. I mean, I think so. I might still be missing a few people. (if you’re one of those people and you probably know you are then pls tell me how to contact you ;w And something that’s just really been bothering me is that no one seems to want to talk to me anyways. Recently my birthday thread got posted (hey did you know that happened?) and like, I think 3 other people besides Gebe and Yushee posted in it?
At this point I’m really not sure I should post any of this. OH HEY, THERE’S ANOTHER THING TO TALK ABOUT. 

DEPRESSION.

Or at least some form of it. I have like, zero motivation to do anything. High school is ow and I have no friends.(in school, I mean.) I was smart enough to take AVID (that’s sarcasm) and now I’m just kinda stuck in this eternal hell loop. Home isn’t much better because it’s usually very hostile, then I get into trouble with my friends and it’s just like hgnngn. It just really sucks. And usually after all of that I kind of just fall into a black hole where I just think “none of this really matters.” SO YKNOW. GOOD THOUGHTS AND ALL THAT. It’s extremely hard to stay positive, as much as I am trying.
I really have no idea if it’s worth posting this at this point. I mean, I probably won’t disappear for like, the rest of ever. I just won’t be there very often. I’ll be like some people who just show up once every week for 5 minutes, then don’t come back until the next week.
Was there anything else I had to say?

Oh yeah. If you still, for some odd reason, want to keep in update with my artwork, you can look at my albums on imgur here. (i sure hope that works.) I might not be making new albums anytime soon but all my important pieces will be put in the portfolio. I usually update that regularly. Usually.

I’ll just say “goodbye” to some of my really close friends, and then I’ll be off. Though most of them should know it’s not really goodbye because we can just talk elsewhere.

Being mad for not having replies to your birthday thread is kind of lame. At least you had one, because many people don't have it, and all they get are a handful of profile comments. I'm one of those people, so I know what I'm talking about. And honestly, I'm not someone that replies to threads about people I haven't interacted with. Again, nothing to be mad at, or at least that's my opinion.

True, Vizzed is quiet, but are you doing something to correct that? There's people posting a lot of times a day trying to bring a bit of activity, why don't you follow their footsteps? We all want more activity, but it won't come out of the blue.

I can understand that your real life is getting in the way, and you're leaving to take care of that or just because you don't want or don't have the will to be here anymore with everything that is happening out of this site, but all your other reasons are nonsense. 

While leaving threads are not allowed (don't know why, to be honest) I've seen people rethink their decisions before. Probably it won't be your case with your depression, though. And since technically you will still be around here, why would you even make a leaving thread?

I assume the reason they don't want good bye threads is because of the drama. (But honestly it's worst leaving without saying a word)

In terms of the "Stats" you're talking about, the site has been consistently on it's way up for a few months now. Sure, it's not what it was 2 years ago, but it's been on the rise, whether it's posts, threads, or views, it's been going up since the stat crash in the fall.

As for birthdays, there's going to be a few replies here and there, but birthdays are meant to be in profile comments a lot more than in threads, there's nothing really to talk about after a while.

Aww, your birthday thread got five replies? Pobrecita, I'm so sorry for you that at least 5 people care about you. Maybe more people would post in your birthday thread if you weren't so selfish and hostile towards others. I've seen many people, including myself, try to be your friend but you reject us rudely.

But I understand why you left, it's all fine. Seeya.

Gingercream1 : I'm sorry that your leaving and I know we have had some very awkward instances but from those I know you're still a pretty cool person. I do agree with you that Vizzed has been pretty inactive and has been dying out lately, I feel bad that you have depression but it is one of those things we all have to go through and believe me depression does play a big part, but I'm sure you'll be able to feel better soon. Sad to see you go but I wish you luck with the journey of your life. Good luck gingy.

Nothing you really have no reason, you of all people most likely don't know what she or really any other person goes through. So I find it immature when someone calls out someone else for being rude and not really being super open to people, because they don't know the reason why the person chooses not to open up. Everyone has their issues and you as a person should just be able to deal with that and let them live how they are, you should never wrong someone else if they wronged you. Sure, gingy isn't the most social but she's still a good person and I'm not exactly good friends with her but I still like her. Big deal she can be cold and she isn't that trusting that's just who she is, she may have gone through something that made her feel that way. I won't discourage her for not wanting to be friends all willy-nilly. We can all be cold and un-trusting at times but do people judge you? Sure but many will understand that something happened to you and it's really hard to trust people. Besides you are all just some people on the internet that should be a given to not be trusted that quickly without testing the waters first so to say.

And at heart I know gingy is actually a pretty nice and fun person to be around, we do have some of the same interests and we have shared a few laughs she's a good person you just need to learn where she is coming from. She might be rude at first but that's just her nature you just have to keep trying.

In conclusion I'm not trying to diss you guys or anything I'm just saying you don't exactly get where she's coming from.

Ginger, as much as I like you as one of my friends on this site, I have to agree with the things which EX Palen said. If you're not going to leave completely, then why did you make this leaving thread? Also, I would have posted in your birthday thread if I knew about it, but I'm not so much on this site anymore as I used to do, so that's why I didn't know of it yet. You might not realize it, but you're lucky that one of your friends made a birthday thread for you, some people make a birthday thread for themselves because they don't have friends who do it for them. 

I really don't know how your home situation is and how many friends you do(n't) have at school, but if you're going to 'leave' to get those things back on track then I hope you'll succeed and that you can return here when you feel like it. Bye for now I guess?

There IS no issue here. She wants to leave and that's her choice, even if any of you consider the reasons to be dumb. I don't know why this is a discussion, or why this hasn't been closed yet.

Also, leaving threads are against the rules because they typically create drama... you're looking at an example.

Sad to hear that you'll be inactive but you have your reasons. I wanted to keep this open for a day or two so people could respond but I'll have to close it from here.

Gingercream1 : It's a rule because these things always lead to drama. "Leaving" threads are usually people who want to start up "stuff" because they are upset at a certain group of people (or person) and really there isn't anything positive that can be gained from making these.

I'm sorry you felt the need to leave the site because of some people. I would hope that you could give us another chance in the future. Best wishes.
