geeogree : While I agree that remakes are far too prevalent, I also don't think remakes are bad in and of themselves. I agree we need more focus on new great content, and I'm a big advocate of the indie scene as they are offering different things, but I also won't say that I wouldn't be thrilled to see a childhood favorite remade. I just figure if it's fun it's fun, and that's the point of it all anyway.
Still, remastering needs to be dialed down since we're seeing too much of it, and a game that was made five years ago doesn't need a remaster. I'm only really in favor of a remaster if the game is old enough that a lot of people missed it (mostly PSX or earlier, though I can see PS2 as well). The biggest benefit of it is getting to legally play old classics without having the system it was made for, and it's nice to see them remastered so we can see what they're like in modern graphics etc.



Also to add to the list, I would love to see Toejam & Earl remade (not just ported, though I would be happy with a PS4/PS Vita port as well). And maybe Bonanza Brothers.
And I'm excited about Ms. Pacman getting a new release!

I would love to see the following titles get an HD remake / remaster -

Castlevania - Symphony of the Night
Xenogears (so underrated )
Gunstar Heroes (Genesis)
Final Fantasy 7 + 8 + 9

Those are just a few off the top of my head. There's plenty more I'd love to see.

~Fire Emblem Path of Radiance and Radiant Dawn. Would actually love to see them in one disk like FFX/FFX-2 Remaster. I've never got to play these Fire Emblem games and with how they're priced I probably won't ever get to play them unless they're remastered(or at least ported).

~Dark Cloud and its sequel: Dark Cloud was one of my favorite PS2 games so I'd love to play a remaster of it.

~Shenmue 1 and 2: Same with Fire Emblem. I never got to play this series and it's difficult to find reasonable prices.

~Super Mario Sunshine: I would love it to get the Wind waker treatment. It would look gorgeous with updated graphics. Plus Sunshine is one of my favorite Mario games so of course I would love this.

Nexorla : While it isn't exactly a proper "remaster" Dark Cloud and Dark Cloud 2 are available on PS4 with 1080p graphics and some other touch ups. Still, an all out remaster would be much better. Unfortunately I haven't played the first one, but I own the PS4 version of Dark Cloud 2.


And just to toss a few more out there:

And maybe Haunting: Starring Polterguy.

Hm... Most of the ones I was thinking are taken already. (Legend of Dragoon and Legend of Legaia).

I would love a remake of the Wild Arms games. Well, they did a PS2 remake of the first Wild Arms, with Alter Code F, but I would love a remake of Wild Arms 2, one of my most favorite games, like, ever. Although it is still pretty fun, and I wouldn't change a thing, a remake, well, a well done remake, would definitely be something I would buy, even if I had to buy a PS4 to play it. XD

I would also love an Alundra remake. Such an obscure game, but it's so fun. It plays like the Legend of Zelda games, but has a really cool story. Just... Don't play the sequel, expecting it to be as good... It's not... By far.

Oh, and I would also love a Skies of Arcadia remake. That would be incredible. Or at least a sequel. It's SO good. They did have Vyse and Aika in Valkyria Chronicles, which was pretty cool... But it's not the same.

And how about an English Hunter X Hunter game!... Hm... I should probably just learn hiragana and katakana...

We need an HD remake of FFVI, Pokemon XD, all the Kalona games, and Shovel Knight.

Pretty much the only games I can think of are the DBZ Budokai tenkaichi games. Budokai got a remastered and I think its just about time that tenkaichi get the same.

Sure I have played it in HD via upscaling on PCSX2 but its not the same, it would look stunning with real HD graphics.

Really? Again? : Yeah, I actually wanted the first one but the second one was on sale and I had just enough money to buy it. I'm not a fan, but I'll finish it since I bought it. And I still want the first one. xD And thanks for mentioning Alundra! I'll have to check that one out now.

I love all of these games so much, they all deserve remakes

Dark Cloud 2 is once again too easy.

So I would pick Paper Mario the Thousand Year Door, Crash Bash, Super Mario RPG, Dynasty Warriors 4, and Final Fantasy IX.
Especially FFIX, if FFVII can get a remake then IX definitely needs one. I find IX's story much better than VII, it's more light hearted, and the characters are more endearing to me.

I would like to see a few games get remastered. Dark Cloud is one of them a really good name. And even Gitaroo Man. I'm not going to list so many but I feel those two should get remastered because of their gameplays. Even if it was to be different? It would make the fans of the game or the people who loved the game to play it. I mean I would play it since of the changed they would make for it. And imagine the music's would be remastered too. I would imagine for Gitaroo Man the master levels would not even be the hardest. They would have an ultimate level for the challenges. I would really love to see that happen. ^-^

But in all honesty I don't think they would get remastered. I can only hope that they do. '-'

Lol, some people already probably know what my answer would be already, it's Guardian's Crusade. It's my favorite game of all time and looked amazing when it first came out many years ago, and I'm sure it would look and feel even 10 times better than that if it had been remastered around today.

epicpokenerd! : Gauntlet Dark Legacy. So much this. I've never gotten to play that particular game, but I'm a sucker for a good Gauntlet game (though that only began after the 8 and 16 bit day iterations ended) so this is one I'd like to see too.



New game on my list: Innocent Life A Futuristic Harvest Moon. Just started this one and I love it so much already. I'd love to see it remastered for PS4 or PS Vita. It's a whole new way to experience Harvest Moon, and presents the franchise in the strangest way that you never wanted but only because you didn't see how incredibly beautiful and enjoyable it could be.

The 1st Castlevania on NES.

Konami made new games to continue the canon, but I want a remake on current gen systems of the 1st Castlevania.

I am a fan of Art of fighting, so I would really go about it in 3d for Ps4.

A game I would really like to see remastered would be Zelda OOT for the Wii U or the NX. I know it got its 3ds remake but that game belongs at home on a console. I would also like to see Zelda SWS remastered as well because that game was also a amazing game.

Now that I think about it, I'd love to see Final Fantasy V and VI get 3DS or NX remasters. III and IV got remakes years ago on the DS, so it would only be fair for the other 2 SNES classics to receive remakes (or remasters). Also, I've wanted this for so long, but I really hope that Chrono Trigger will get an NX remaster as well because it's my favorite video game of all time.

I would love to see Pokémon Snap get a Remake / Remaster, believe it or not lol. Imagine how much more you could do with a modern version of the game, as well as how beautiful the pictures might turn out.

I'd love to see a remaster for Duck Hunt for the NES. You know how awesome Duck Hunt would be on a modern 50 + in TV with updated graphics?

I'd want to see a remaster for Brave Fencer Musashi. The original for PSX, not the garbage sequel (garbage may be a tad bit harsh) that they made for the PS2. It was one of the gems of my childhood.

I'd like to see a remaster for Chrono Trigger, seeing as how it's one of the greatest RPGs ever created. That battle system was something special, and even more remarkable considering the day and age it was developed.
