After putting a lot of thought into it and also discussing it with users from the site, I've decided to host another Minecraft competition. However, if this one lacks competition like the last, then this will be the last one that I host. So if you want to see me continue doing these then be sure to compete!


In this competition you must create the best structure on the Vizzed Minecraft Server. The structure can be of anything you want it to be. You can present your submission in the form of a video or screenshots. If you do a video then you must upload it to the Vizzed YouTube Account. If you do screenshots then you must upload them to Vizzed and then post them to this thread.

This competition pretty much has the same rules as the last Create Anything competition which took place last summer. You can view the results of that competition here:

The structure should be created in the new Creative world. You'll have flight and unlimited blocks when you're in the creative world so there are almost no limitations on what you can create! More info here:

You can also rent an admin in order to have access to World Edit features which will allow you to have basic structures created in a matter of minutes and also have stuff copy/pasted, moved, etc. More info here:

Staff will vote on the submissions after the competition is done. They'll vote based on structure uniqueness, difficulty, and the presentation of the video or screenshots.



Instructions for taking a video and submitting it to the Vizzed YouTube Channel:
You can use Camtasia (probably the best and has a free trial available), Camstudio (free), Xsplit or any other program to record with. You may also edit the video however you want (example, adding music, subtitles, etc), just make sure it is less than 5 minutes long.

Once you've recorded the video, you'll want to upload it to the Vizzed YouTube page and add it to the game's page in the Video Game Room. You can do this by going to the game's page (link found below) and then scroll half way down the page to the 'Minecraft User Submitted videos' section and click the 'Click to Upload your Video to Vizzed Youtube' link. Once the video has been uploaded, be sure to place a link to it to this thread, otherwise your submission will not count.



Rules:
-Up to 5 submissions per a user (this also includes structures you've teamed up on)
-Minecraft Staff may compete and I will be competing
-Please separate your submissions with 1 submission per a post
-You may work with others on a submission (you'll then split the earnings)
-No command blocks
-You may use some of your old structures with your new structure as long as your old structures make up less than 33% of your new submission
-The structure can be built anywhere but it is suggested that you build it in the Creative World
-When showing off your submission, you cannot use any resource packs unless you created the resource pack (and if you do create your own, be sure to place a link to download it with your post)

1st = 250,000 Viz or $100
2nd = 100,000 Viz or $50
3rd = 50,000 Viz or $25
4th = 25,000 Viz
5th = 10,000 Viz

Sweet, great to see you do another one. Hopefully this time I will have some more thoughts to what I want to build, instead of having minecraft block (heh...).

Also, are we allowed to use both screenshots and a video if we want to show off Specifics?

And how would you recommend creating our resource packs?

Barathemos : Yeap you can do a combination of both screenshots and videos. Presentation is so important in these and I honestly think you had the best submission last month but I think I won only because of my presentation.

I'd suggest looking up tutorials on how to make your own resource pack. What I do is I find a pack that contains all of the default stuff and then I just slowly change the stuff from there.

Ill enter this one once the thing with my username gets fixed. I have a couple of plans for what I could build. Probably wouldn't be able to start for like a week or two.

Interesting. I've been considering building a new base in Greenerous for a while now and this might be the perfect excuse. I just need to find some inspiration for what to make.

Still, glad to see I've got 2 and a half months to come up with something and 60 hours of MC time minimum that I need to spend on the server in order to get it done.

Thanks for the summon... hopefully this time around I don't procrastinate and get more work done on my submission(s).

I'll happily commit to competing. Now that my time isn't stretched between Chat, the site, and MC, I should be able to dedicate a lot more time to building up the server and this competition is part of that.

zanderlex : I wanted to make sure that as many people knew about this as possible.

mrfe : If you're ever interested, we could tackle that house together that I began working on for the last 'Create Anything' competition. If you remember, I only got done with the game room and even that wasn't finished. If the house was finished then my last submission of just the game room would be way under the 33% rule.

I might as well give it a "go". Hopefully my project can be finished in time. Though, it's been, say, ages ago since I started my massive project so I don't really know if I can submit this one once I'm done with it :/

Well, I'd feel stupid and greedy for entering since it seems like I'm only on this website to earn $$$ now, but I hate to see these competitions end. I love Minecraft and I love building stuff (even though I suck at it), so I'll see if I have time for another go at one of these.

...If I do win, please don't get mad if I take the cash prize... I really don't need Viz anymore.

ok so, I'm new to the Vizzed minecraft server. I have a few questions.

1. What is mViz, what does it do, how do I obtain it?
2. How do I get permission to do anything on the server?
3. How can I get flight?
4. Is it creative or do I buy blocks with mViz?

I can't believe how much this competition has inspired me. I am not the building type but I have built quite a large castle wall and "building" to go with it. I'll likely submit it as it stands now (maybe with a few more additions and what not but I'm loving it so far.

Not sure what else I'll build but I'm really liking having a reason to build. I already have another idea of something to build coming up soon but I don't want to give anything away. I'm going to keep it a secret.

Are we allowed to use those statues of the characters (like the ones of David that mrfe and EM made) or would those be counted as command blocks?
