Since I'm from the future I get to post this before anyone else, so yay me

Those that know me know I've had a terrible few years, but things are on the way back up.
Did anything happen to anyone else in the last year they are glad to put behind them?

Hope everyone has a happy new year. I sure am looking forward to what 2016 brings.

2015 has been a year full of ups and downs for me. We nearly lost my mom in the spring, but she's healthy and doing relatively well now (excluding a chronic medical condition that the doctors can't identify). I spent two months in Missouri working as a petitioner (eat, sleep, and work, pretty much), but my resume is stacked to the point of me being able to almost pick and choose what customer service job I want around here.

Perhaps most painful of all, though, is learning that my grandma appears to be in the early stages of Alzheimers. She and I are extremely close, so it's been a hard blow on me to know she's forgetting a lot of the time we've spent together.

Despite these negative things, I wouldn't call 2015 a bad year. It's had quite a few negative periods, but I've never stopped moving forward, and I consider that a success. I'm definitely ready to jump into the new year, I've got high hopes for what 2016 will hold.

Happy New Year everyone! I'm so looking forward to 2016, just too much things scheduled to happen.

Also, it's always nice to see a veteran coming back, no matter how briefly. It's one of the best ways Vizzed can end this year.

2015 was one of the worst years of my life, if not the worst for a number of reasons. Here are just a couple that I wish not to go too into detail about at the moment.

1. Vizzed - You know. Banning/Unbanning.

2. Family issues. - Kicking me out of the house, leaving me behind on "family" vacation, etc.

3. School - Having trust issues between friends, and basically anyone I know.

4. Depression - The worst case of depression I've ever had in my life.

Thankfully, all of this stuff went away at the end of the year, and things are starting to look up for 2016.

2015 has been a non eventful year for me and considering from what I have read that seems to be a good thing. One thing that I do remember that happened now was that 2 of my cousins have twins.

2016 will probably be more eventful for me but we'll see. Happy Hogmany and new year from Scotland. PARTY TIME!

Let the new year begin!2016 is looking to be a pretty big year for me.I'm planning on getting my GED and graduating High school.Well home school.Home high school, we'll call it that.

Happy new year errybody. 2015 has been a strange year. It was good but nowhere near as good as it should have been. Hopefully with that extra day in the year, things can be amazing.

It'll be celebrating it soon. Watching the final countdown as we speak.

2015 was pretty much my breakout year here on Vizzed. Becoming Site Staff and winning the Fall TDV were the 2 biggest highlights for me. Unfortunately though, on Christmas, I found out that my Dad had a blood clot in his lungs. He's out of the hospital now, and he's recovering at home. That's the moment that I'd love to put behind me as soon as possible... Hopefully 2016 will start out better for me than 2015 ended.

It's good to know that your mother is doing ok. Look at the Alzheimer's as a chance to get to spend a little bit more time with your Grandma (All mine, except two of my grandmothers had it), it gives an extra meaning to being part of their lives that you might not have had otherwise!

Except for the Vizzed part, that was basically 2009-2011 for me. It gets better for life, the first step is realizing that your future is in your own hands, after that it's doing whatever your heart says you need to do. Anyone who drags you down doesn't need to be a part of your life (at least not significantly).  Have a GOOD year!

I honestly can't say there's something I'm glad to leave behind this year. The year honestly just kept getting better and better for me.

I went from being in an awkward place in January (long story short, it marked a year since my ex broke up with me) to getting to travel to California in February, and seeing things I'd never hoped to see.

Then I spent March through May basically in a lull, not having any fun or anything.

Then June came and my life changed.

My girlfriend moved out to be with me, I got to have a positive influence around me for the first time in a while. We spent a few nice months together... then October came and we moved to California, to stay.

Now, as December turns to January, I'm 3,000 miles away from where I started this year, and employed. I have money, friends, family, love, and a passion. I'm going back to school at the end of January.

2015 was the year my life finally changed into what I was always told it could change into.

Now 2016, I hope it stays this way.

Happy new year to all who read this thread! I was able to watch the ball drop countdown on TV last night so I started off my new year with a lot of excitement.

I managed to make it to midnight this year. I don't always stick around that long on NYE.

Having young kids means that I still have to get up around 7-8 in the morning regardless of when I went to bed. Still, my wife and I had a quiet night together just the 2 of us. We generally stay in and do as little as possible on NYE. It's easier that way
