I have to admit even when thinking about characters that I'd like to see added but there's likely no chance of ever happening, Cloud never crossed my mind. I think it's pretty cool though, I liked playing FF7 though it was long ago since I did now and playing as him is definitely something I'd like to try out when I get the 3ds version (yes I still haven't bought the new smash .-.) what really excites me about this though is that it might open up the possibilities for other Final Fantasy characters being added to smash in the future which would be awesome.

This is a fanboy's wet dream for Cloud to be in Smash. I think that Sakurai really wanted to show us that when we were voting in the ballot, any character could get in, so if we voted for Goku, Shrek, Shadow, or obviously Cloud Strife, we shouldn't feel like our votes were wasted on characters that would never be possible.

I pretty much hate FF7, but I'm not even mad, I'm just shocked. He looks super awesome in the trailer and I think, like Ryu, he fits into his own unique archetype. I probably won't buy him, but I'm excited anyways. Looks amazing!

I heard about that when I got home. That and Pokemon R/B/Y coming to the eshop were the highlights of the Nintendo Direct. I gotta say, I never expected that to ever happen considering everything FFVII related has been on Sony consoles. It's a pleasant surprise, just never thought it would happen.

   I am quite dissapointed in Sakurai. He could have given us so many characters. Yet he had to choose Cloud. Cloud just looks like a mix between Ike and Shulk but I guess he has a limit bar. But also his trailer made him look so OP.

I mean we did had the Smash Ballot, but the results weren't fully clear. Did Cloud win the Smash Ballot, and maybe he won by Cloud spammers on the vote page? Cloud walks out onto the arena floor and finds Tifa there,waiting for him. Tifa could either demand Cloud come with her and be a family man or she will beat the tar out of Cloud.

I don't really like this. Another sword fighter joins the fight. I am pretty sure that Cloud never appeared as an important character on a Nintendo console, then why him of all choices? I thought someone more popular like Wolf and King K. Rool would get a spot. Oh well. His movepool looks okay to me, probably a clone of someone with sword attacking moves.

Also based on what I heard that at Smash Nintendo Direct, they will be announcing DLC Package #5 with the release date and DLC Package #5 will include Cloud, and another character or two, plus the Midgar stage and another stage and some Mii costumes as well.
