My friends say I'm colorblind apparently.

Kraft macaroni and cheese
Arby's Beef n Cheddar
Cheese in general (even though cheese can come in yellow, orange, or white)

What color are each of these as well? This sounds like a stupid argument, and it is. But I'm not colorblind. I know the color of cheese! Lol

And before you say "just Google it" that didn't help. Google took me in a circle and didn't give me a definitive answer.

Zeldisaster : Well most of the cheeses you listed are not actual "Cheese" but to answer your question they are a neon yellow type color.

There are a lot of cheeses that are white though.

It's really dependant on just what cheese your reffering to. Cheddar is white before the dye is added, brie is off-white/pale yellow from what I've seen, and most fake cheeses (like whats used in Kraft Dinner) is an appallingly bright orange becuase of the dyes used. Now, I've never eaten at an Arby's becuase thier not big enough in Canada's westcoast to have locations everywhere (I can only think of one location of the top of my head and in it's in another city) but I'm assuming they use the same or a very similar dye as Kraft and McDonalds use for thier cheese products which would mean its orange.

Cheddar is white?
*explodes*
Well my guess is that Cheese comes from milk, milk is white. Maybe most cheeses are white before yellow. Honestly, I'd say the dyed cheese is a blurred line of yellowy-orange most of the time.

Cheese is purple, the sun is green, and the grass is blue. The sky? I can't see it, just a giant chunk of grey.

Well cheese can be yellow orange or white. It depends on what kind of cheese your talking about.. Cheddar cheese is orange... white cheddar is white of course... but the stuff they put in mac n cheese is dyed colors so it's going to be orange. xP Alot of regular cheese though is yellow.

Obviously depends, but orange is more iconic  because of common cheddar, but a huge majority of cheeses are white. Only yellow cheese I can think of is American cheese (the worst kind) and a few white cheeses that have a buttery yellow tint.

Isn't the moon nothing more than a big ball of cheese and the moon is white. So, I have to say that all cheese are white. Don't be fooledd by that yellowy or orangey look, the cheese wants to fool you. Cheese is supported to be white, just ask the moon.

At least 3/4 of the world's cheese are actually white, you may not know that.

The first colour I think of when I think of cheese is "off-white".

Orange is just some stupid dye they put in some cheddar, though if you get a reallly good old cheddar, it's usually not coloured... I mean what would be the point.

Most cheeses I eat are whitish, some are yellow, brown, sometimes blue/green.

All cheese without dye in it is an creamy off white colour (With the exseption of blue cheese which is a much brighter white and has blue in it) As for cheese being yellow or orange I don't know as I cant tell those colours apart.

While I doubt this question is relevant to you anymore, I'd say the correct answer is: there is no correct answer. For whatever reasons, different cheeses (by the time they reach the consumer, which is obviously what you mean) are different colors.

However to answer the more specific part of your post: Arby's and Kraft Mac 'n' Cheese are orange. No two ways about that, man. Hopefully that's what you were telling your friends because for some odd reason I want you to win this argument. lol

Cheese comes in all types of colours (ha ha Canadian spelling) so there is no definitive answer to this question. It's usually stereotyped as being yellow or orange but it can be coloured anything from blue to green to pink (maybe not that last one). It really all depends on the local culture, the ingredients added to the cheese, and its preparation.

It depends what type of cheese that you eat everyday zeldi. For me would be yellow cheese. I have seen others like cheddar cheese which is the colour orange. Its amazing isn't it? It actually gets your mind going thinking what is the actual true colour of a cheese. I am wondering that now too. Is the colour yellow? Orange? or...well we could never know now will we? XD

Cheese is whatever colour you make it.. You can make it bright purple if you really wanted to.. the same with most other foods.. that are mainly white to begin with...

Cheese is usually White, or pale yellow.... some cheeses are orange due to being dyed with stuff such annatto (there's a cheese called red leicester that is bright orange and i live in leicester so this is how i know this  lol)

But with most "fake" cheese products it usually is a bright orange..

Just for the record, Kraft Mac and Cheese is teh bomb.

Eirinn : I have to agree. I don't think there is a right answer. I have seen some cheeses that were a pale greenish, and some that were even grey.........

sonicmcmuffin : Technically, even the really nasty generic singles count as cheese since it's still dairy. I mean, it USED to be cheese, right? That is, unless you find that lactose free crap, which is disturbing at best....
