Maybe a forum titled Books in Entertainment Avenue? You can discuss new books, and read reviews posted by other users. Subforums can be something like Discussion, Forum Games, Questions, and Reviews. This would then remove the Books subforum located in Stories / Simulation / Art.

For what it's worth I'm constantly reading books and magazines and think that would be a great topic. The character bio idea as well. I do think you should keep the Christian Conservatives or whatever it is. It's good to find people of faith who relate to each other in that way. It shouldn't be about argument. It doesn't hurt anyone I can't imagine. It's not like someone is forced to ever even look at it. But yeah, books are good.

Maybe we could come up with a forum dedicated to video production which would involve creating videos for upload to YouTube and video game streaming. Basically it'd be dedicated to stuff you do or create but I'm not too sure if a forum like that would be active enough.

Another possibility for a forum which would combine a few suggested ideas would be an "Online Games" forum where users could discuss games that have online capabilities and could also make plans to play those games online with other users. It'd be a forum users could go to if they wanted to find users to play certain games online with.


geeogree : Splitting the Cafe Corner and Girls n Guyz into separate forums is a possibility. At one time they were their own forums.


Eirinn : Having an entire forum for 1 game normally would be unnecessary but Minecraft is a game many users of vizzed play together on the vizzed server. It really has become part of this community. If I hosted servers for other games then I could later modify the Minecraft forum to include all other games which I host.

The Game Collection feature does have a lot of potential but I'm not sure if a forum dedicated to it would be very active. I do want to find other ways to help promote that feature in the future though.


Zlinqx : A Game Character forum would be for writing bios and for discussing characters.

I'm not sure a forum dedicated to MMO games would generate very much activity but I could be wrong. I guess the best way to find out is to see how many currently active threads are about MMO games.


TornadoMudkip : A forum like that could also be called Geography lol. Could combine both ideas you proposed and call it 'History and Geography'. It's an interesting idea.

Davideo7 : Well that's kind of the reason I suggested it. I don't really think there's too many places to discuss MMOs specifically since the video game forum really seems more aimed towards single and local multiplayer games specifically. Hence why I feel an MMO forum could be something that could work and would probably generate more activity than expected, but that is just what I think. Though an online games forum could probably fill that function, so I wouldn't be against seeing that instead.

Apologies for the typos in my suggestions; I have some weird settings turned on that sometimes make random characters pop up.

If altering the Minecraft forum to accommodate future games that Vizzed has servers for is possible, then I like the idea.

As for the collection forum, I didn't think it would work, but figured it couldn't hurt to mention it. lol I just really want to see people using that feature more as it's terribly overlooked.

Davideo7 : I love mudkip's idea on Geography and History, but I think it should combine with her original thought of posting about culture. I think that would be a great addition and it would allow a diverse group of people to come and talk about their cultures and way of life along with their geography.

Geeo's suggestion of splitting the Cafe Corner/Guyz and Girls forum is a good idea, and I want to add another issue here which would be suitable for the split. I have recently dealt with different threads that were moved to that forum for its appropriate topic, but the poster was not 13+, so that member was not able to even see the post after making the thread. I think in splitting this forum, you can also open it up so that those who are under 13 with similar issues can post and see those posts as well.

Websplurge should remain the same, because I think that is already appropriate in posting of memes, viral videos, sharing different web articles (especially those random lists and facts sites)

My personal suggestion would not have any strong standing just yet because the forum is not too active with ideas just yet, and I am hoping that you would start to discuss with me in using it as the official site's YouTube channel. But I think when you are ready to utilize it as an official channel, the Vizzed Productions forum can have the possibility of moving up as a main forum instead of a rented. (I am about to upload some Vizzed versus videos within the next couple of days, so we'll see how this idea goes).

Even though I'm unsure as to how many people on the site are readers, I do think it is appropriate to have books and literature as an individual forum of its own. It is one of the mediums out there and it might actually be a positive thing to motivate people to read books more and to be able to have a place to discuss about it.

Something else that might be interesting would be to split news from debate.

I think having a forum where people can post news articles and have general discussions about them without having to "debate" the issue so much.

And then the debate/logic forum could be focused much more on a specific topic that people want to debate.

Although this forum isn't overly active and I don't know if this would increase or decrease the overall activity. I do think we could make the News forum available to all and the debate forum remain 13+ like play suggested for the Cafe Corner/ Guyz n Girls forum.

What is the status of this? I'm very interested because it will have a bearing on possible new mod hirings.

I know you likely won't see this for a while but I want to get your attention here at some point in the near future so we know what's coming.

I don't remember closing this (since I was the last one to post) and I'm still really curious about the status of this change. Are we getting new forums along with other new changes you have been talking about?

We already have a minecraft forum. But a forum for Game Characters sounds amazing! As do Mudkip's Culture Clash, and History and Geography forums. I'm curious as to what forums you're planning on unleashing.

I really like the Let's Play Online one in Gamers Circle as well as splitting cafe corner and girls N guyz.

I think doing game music might be strange for the Entertainment area since it is game related and might work better somewhere else (it is already a rented forum right now). It could go into Vizzed.com or gamers circle though.

Also, if you move the computer one out of Vizzed Ville north then you'll need something extra (and I don't like the history one). I've always wanted to split the debate and news sections from each other. It would be nice to be able to post a news story and not have to argue with people about it but also have a separate section to have debates about issues intentionally would be nice. Maybe News/History would be neat.

I love all of these! The separation of Cafe Corner and Girls N Guys seems like a good move to me. And I am all for a video game music forum!

Although I come to agree with Geeo. I think a News/History forum may be the best way to do it. I'm a big history buff, but I don't know how many like-minded people are on here.

Anyway that's all of my thoughts on this.

A user of this : I'm glad someone else liked that idea. It's a good forum but I think news gets ignored because of all the fear of having to debate/defend the thing you are posting. I would post 10 times as often in a news forum compared to the debate forum as it is currently.

geeogree : I'm not sure if I like merging News and History together but separating Debate from News could be interesting. The new forum could be News and Current Events.

The Game Music I suggested because we still need to find a forum to fit into the Entertainment. We could always do a 'Books / Manga / Comics' forum and move the 'Comics / Manga' portion of 'Cartoons / Anime / Comics / Manga' to it.

the tough part about breaking comics/manga from anime/cartoons is that manga/anime go hand in hand a LOT of the time so it doesn't really make sense.

I also don't think a book forum on its own would do overly well but at the same time might do well enough to have its own forum. Although it really should just get tacked on to the stories/simulation forum since there isn't much going on there either. A books forum could work though. I know I've read enough stuff that I could talk about a lot of books and would love recommendations from people as well.

Nobody is going to argue about the Information forum, so that one is safe.

I like the idea of a News and Current Events forum, having it separately from Debate is much needed right now. I'm not sure about splitting Cafe Corner and Girls N Guyz, I know they originally were separated forums but still I think keeping it the way it is now is fine. The History and Geography forum can sound interesting, but then again, it would be mostly dedicated to 'Murica, and we have enough forums dedicated to that already, so if there's any other option with more international projection, I'm all in for it.

In Gamers Circle, Minecraft is the first choice. We already have threads dedicated to netplay in Retro Game Room, so I don't see viable making a forum specifically dedicated to it.

While Books would fit the theme in Entertainment Avenue, History and Geography sounds a slightly better idea. Game Music doesn't really need its own forum, it's part of Music after all.

Game Characters seems a good addition, but I don't see the point of it. It's a widely used feature recently, receiving big updates daily, but what threads would be made there? The same kind of PM we receive in the Staff Inbox?

I also think moving Computer / Coding / Technology to Vizzed Ville South is a good move. North is more focused towards everyday life, and South is about internet and creativity, so it suits better in South.

I just added the Information and News and Current event forums. I also just made the new forum index that I've been working on for a week live as well and I'll be making a thread dedicated to that sometime tomorrow.

The 'Lets Play Online' forum wouldn't be just for netplay but for any online game. It'd be a place where users could set up times and events to play steam, Xbox One, PS4 or 3DS games online. Users could use it to share their Mario Maker levels or use it to trade and/or battle Pokemon in the various Pokemon games.

EX Palen : Not if we Europeans work together to make the History and Geography forum a place for everyone around the world to post. Many historical events happened in Europe and the Geography forum would be the forum to post about the world, cultures and such.

Davideo7 : Nice! I noticed your changes. It will probably take a time to get used on but I think it looks fine. However some rented forums are missing, the inactive rented ones and the private rented ones. EDIT - they appeared somehow.
