In this thread I would like to know what your favorite Pokémon fire type is. Obviously for me its charizard but I would like to know what all of your favorites are

As far as who the best fire type pokemon of all time is, I'd have to agree and say Charizard. Those mega evolutions make it even better than it already was. I personally like Mega Charizard Y more since it has the drought ability.

Charizard's overrated in my opinion :v


I like Pyroar from the 6th Generation a lot. Fire doggy! Stats are nice, decent moveset, it's my favorite.

Honestly? I don't usually like fire types. At all. I don't know why, but I really just don't. I'd rather just stick with a dragon type or something that can learn a fire type move.
However, there are two exceptions, one of which is my favourite fire type, Chandelure. People may riff on it for being a chandelier but I find it neat, and that special attack is something to absolutely fawn over.

For me I'd have to say that it's a toss up. Charizard is one of my favorite Pokemon of all time and only a few others even come close to it, but when you are thinking of only fire type pokemon, Arcanine comes really close, and I can't really think of one without thinking of the other when it comes to fire types, they are both epic.

I really like volcarona. It's got a beautiful design and great stats and moves to back it up.

I'd have to say Ho-Oh because as a Fire and Flying type, he's fast on his own, and he has a nice design in my opinion. It can learn a perfect balance between Special and Status moves with a good Physical strength to boot, and multiple useful moves such as Sacred Fire, a powerful attack that can burn the foes, Future Sight, which can easily catch the foe off-guard, Sky Attack, an amazing Flying-Type move that may require a turn to charge (pair Ho-Oh with a Power Herb for utility), and many more. His BST is 680, which is higher than or the same as most Pokémon, only being surpassed by the Pokémon with the top 10 highest BST's, and is multi-purpose, his highest base stat being his Special Defense. Ho-Oh can play the role of a Specially Defensive Physical Sweeper, a Special Wall, a Special Sweeper, a Wallbreaker, a Mixed Attacker, or maybe you can come up with some other sets for him. With Light Screen or Calm Mind, Ho-Oh can increase his Special Defense further past 154, his base SpDef stat, Rest or Roost to restore him, Protect to ward off an attack in case of emergencies, and Sacred Fire or Brave Bird in case of Taunt. The big downside to having Ho-Oh is his weaknesses, but it is possible to counter the weaknesses with Thunderbolt and Earthquake if you like to mess with type relationships. With the right set, Ho-Oh (or perhaps multiple Ho-Oh for multiple occasions) can be a valuable asset to most teams.

Chamander will always be my favorite fire type pokemon of all time.

I think Typhlosion or arcanine just for their design but fighting wise it would say blaziken i guess...

For fire types, It's a toss up between Blaziken and Entei. I like the power that Blaziken offers as a mega, but I've always liked Entei's overall design. In general though, I don't really use fire types that often mainly because dragon and dark type pokemon are among my favorite types to use competitively. 

If Entei were only a little faster and a little more defensive, it would definitely become my favorite fire type. As a legendary pokemon, I've always thought that its stats should be an even 600 instead of 580, but that's just my opinion. Charizard is another great fire type, but I figured I should list some of the other good fire types out there. 

It has always been torchic for me. I dunno how or when I came to love this adorable fire pokemon. It used to be charmander in the past. Well mainly because those two grow up, or evolve to the type of fav fire pokemon, that I would use in battle and a lot as well. @.@

Cyndaquil. I just think that it's cute, and it's final evolution is great.

That's easy Its charizard because he is considered one of the most powerful fire type Pokémon in history of pokemon.Not only that but when I was playing Pokémon leaf green I came upon this one that gives you fire blast I had 3 fire type Pokémon in total and none of them would learn it but when I had Charizard he was the only one that can learn it so I said Fire blast plus Charizard equals most powerful fire type Pokémon in history. So that's why I pick Charizard I could of picked Moltes the legend flying Pokémon but I felt like Charizard was way more powerful in my opinion

Wow,there really isn't that many fire types to begin with but I guess if I was to pick my favorite  fire type pokemon out of the pokemon franchise I would pick either victini (the fire psychic from 5th gen) or Blaziken (from 3rd gen).

MY favorite Fire type would have to be Blaziken.I know most people would've put Charizard.I usually only have a Blaziken in Pokémon Ruby/Sapphire.....

I was always a Blaziken fan. I don't know but it seems to have the coolest design for me and is the fire starter I have always used the most. Charizard is overrated in my opinion, Typhision is pretty cool and my 2nd favourite, I completely forgot the 4th generation one, I like Emboar a bit but not much and I never played X or Y (got back with Alpha Sapphire). Rapidash is also pretty cool for a non starter, Arcanine is also a boss and Moltres I would say is my favourite legendary fire type due to mainly nostalgia.

My favorite fire type Pokémon of all time would have to be either Typhlosion or Infernape. I loved my Typhlosion in Heart Gold and Soul Silver and never picked any other starter and I picked Chimchar every time in Pearl. I feel like Typhlosion has a slightly better move set in the fact that it can learn Lava Plume and Eruption. However, I really enjoyed Infernape from the Anime. My favorite Infernape battle in the Anime was when Blaze was activated in the Pokémon League Quarterfinals against Paul. He made a spectacular comeback and KO'ed one of my favorite electric types of all time, Electivire. The part that made it even better was that Infernape used Flare Blitz, my favorite fire-type move of all time, and won the battle. I feel like Infernape barely edges Typhlosion to be my favorite fire type Pokémon. 

My favorite fire type of all time has to be Arcanine. I like that from a little cute puppy, he evolves into such a beast. I've tried to get it in all my pokemon games but I didn't succeed. I currently have it in Light Platinum. What I mostly like about this fire dog is that he can learn a large variety of moves with different types, not only fire. In my Light Platinum save it has 2 fire moves, 1 normal and 1 steel.

I have a cousin named Matthew, and we were brothers, goofing off, joking around, hanging out, and most of all, playing video games. For example we played Okami and that's how he started getting into art, he's now working as an artist. However, we always had Pokémon battles, and it was great. However 1 day, he came to me with some news, he was moving out and leaving our state to move to Georgia, although I found this out later, after he had left, I haven't seen him since. 

Recently when booting up SoulSilver, I saw something, an egg. I decided to hatch it just to see, and it was a Shiny Vulpix. I named it "matteo" my nickname,I traded it up to Gen 6 and placed it on my team when ORAS  came out, and its was SOOO useful, at least to me, I then evolved it and I swear I felt better than I ever had before
